By far one of our best holidays!
Janus is a visionary who will no doubt be very successful. He as taken the time to consider + provide everything people could want from their stay in St. Lucia. We cannot improve on what has already been written in this book regarding places to visit + things to do. The only bit of advice we would give is GET OUT + meet the locals and don’t just stick to the tourist hubs. Enjoy waking up to the piton mountains + going to bed in the hustle + bustle of the jungle surrounding you. Hope to be back again one day! My husband and I ended our week-long honeymoon in St. Lucia at Serrana Villa and love it! Our stay here was very short (only 1 night) but we soaked in the views and enjoyed a delicious creole dinner made by Chef Ramsey.
It rained pretty heavily for most of our stay at this villa, but whenever it wasn’t pouring we lounged out on the deck playing cards, drinking Piton Beers and taking in the views. The view here is absolutely incredible and we loved how you can see the stunning views from all the rooms because of the big windows. A huge thank you to Janus for his hospitality and friendly welcome. It felt like a home and we felt very taken care of! You and your place are fantastic. Thanks Much Sarah and Stephen From CA First off, thanks to Janus and his crew for making our St. Lucia honeymoon an incredible and unforgettable experience! While we stayed at the villa longer than most others, we did many of the things as our predecessors, so we can’t elaborate on those beyond our personal experiences and opinions.

All in all, a wonderful vacation full of unforgettable experiences. a special shout out to Janus, Fabian and Marvin for being wonderful hosts and guides. St. Lucia hasn’t seen the last of US! Amanda & Simon ******Last minute Addition*** Morne Coubaril Historical Adventure Park: after a few rainy days spent at the villa, we decided to end our vacation with a bang. We booked a zipline adventure last minute, and wow! It was amazing. The estate is beautiful and we were the only ones there. The zipline team was awesome. Omiah and Murphy were so much fun, and informative. He caught every moment of our adventure, it was worth it!!! Day 1 – Janus had someone pickup us up from the other side of the island. Our driver let us stop at the supermarket to get food for the couple days we stayed. Then we were welcomed at the villa by Janus, who gave us a tour of the BEAUTIFUL villa we were staying at, and answered all of our questions about places to eat and attractions around Soufriere.
We chose to stay in our first night, hung out at the pool and had a few drinks, before our personal chef came Ramsey. He cooked us an amazing dinner. Started us off with mango rum drinks that my wife and I loved followed by a trio Seafood in a creamy white wine mushroom sauce (Highly recommend this dish to anyone it was to die for. Then wrapped up our evening outside admiring the stars and fireflies.) Day 2 – Was Greeted in the morning by Fresh bread that is amazing. We told Janus that we wanted to check out the Botanical Gardens, which is beautiful if you love nature. We did have a guide which was very insightful about all the plants and flowers. We did see the diamond waterfall which is breathtaking. Then we walked 20 mins from the botanical gardens down to the pier to get a water taxi from Soufriere to Sugar Beach. Was told prices would be around $100.00 USD. We found one for $60 US round trip. Had an amazing lunch. I got the $24 burger which everyone in this book recommends and my wife got the lobster sandwich, both were extremely good. Would recommend to everyone, also had two beers and one mixed drink, total came out to $92.00 U.S. Then spent the rest of the afternoon out on the beach. Got our ride back to Soufriere around 4pm and walked back to the villa. Everyone was very helpful with directions and helping us navigate through the village. Some locals tried selling/asking for money just smiled and said not interested. Took us about 30 min to walk back from the pier , the last 200 yards is the worst with a steady incline but no problem for my wife (24 years old) or myself (26 years old). Then took a dip ion the pool to cool down and took some amazing photos of my beautiful sexy wife out-looking the village with the M.T Pitons in the background. You have to try the local beer Piton its very good. Later that night we had Chef Ramsey make us dinner tonight and he didn’t disappoint again. We had chicken pasta ster fry and it was perfect. We ended our evening again looking at the stars and fireflies sadly our last night here before going back to our resort. We wish we cold have stayed longer, but we will be back soon. Honeymooners Married 9.9.18 Billy & Kassandra Colorado U.S Day 1 – Arrived around 5pm to Serrana Villa and was happily greeted by Janus! He stocked us up with fresh eggs, bread, orange juice and milk! It was delightful!
We decided to stay in that night and to have the Serrana Villa’s Private Chef cook for us - MUST DO! We went with the grilled seafood in Garlic-lime butter sauce and it was AMAZING! The Chef even made an amazing St. Lucian Rum Cocktail for us while he was cooking. This was a perfect beginning for our honeymoon. Day 2 – First full day in Soufriere! Enjoyed some fresh coffee and eggs (Thanks Janus!) on the porch. Janus gave us a tour of the local supermarket downtown so we could stock up on more local fruits and veggies! We then went to Sulphur Springs for the Mud Bath and tour – it was a lot of fun! After that we went to Sugar Beach for some snorkeling. While you’re there head to the far right side of the beach. It’s the public side of the beach and there’s a guy there named Blaze who will provide you with super cheap (but amazing Pina Coladas! There’s also great snorkeling near where he sets up shop too. He also gave us a pretty cool tour of all the fruits on the island – it was a lot of fun! Day 3 - St. Lucia Rum Distillery Tour. The tour wasn’t anything too special – but we definitely recommend going there for all the free rum samples! After that we did more beach bummin! Day 4 – Jade Mountain – words can’t describe how amazing the views are here. It is a must see while in St. Lucia ! definitely make reservations at their restaurant too. Day 5 – Anse Chastanet Beach – this is really close to Jade Mountain. The road to get to either locations is crazy – but well worth the trip! Just make sure you have a good rental car or hire a taxi for the trip. There is a lot of good snorkeling there too! Day 6 – Sandals La Toc – We though we would try out another beach while we were here but that area honestly isn’t worth the drive. It was too touristy and gimmicky. Definitely stay with the local beaches. Day 7 – more beach bummin at the Anse Chastanet Beach – and Sugar Beach. This was basically our last day so we were trying to fit in everything. We did the Tet Paul Hike – it was super fun and had great views. It’s not a very long hike either. We hired the personal chef to come back to the villa to cook for us again – and it was amazing yet again! Definitely recommend. Day 8 – last Day! We had an early flight so unfortunately we just had to pack up and head to the airport. Janus – Thank you for the wonderful experience of staying at your villa. We will definitely b back! WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
While most places in the world have four well-defined seasons, its proximity to the equator means that this is not really the case for the island of St. Lucia. Archives
