The Edingtons
11 year anniversary Wow! What an amazing trip! We booked serrana villa back in October 2019 for what was supposed to be out 10 year anniversary, but then you know- Covid. We asked janus last summer if we could reschedule for this year and he of course understood. Great first impression. And man, it was worth the wait. Dylan picked us up from the airport and even gave us a mini Soufriere tour on the way here. He even made us reservations at ladera. We unpacked and settled in before he picked us back up for dinner. Ladera’s food was pretty good, but it was the view and atmosphere that made us make another reservation. His time at Sunset! A must. Leah was our server both times and she was Fantastic! Sunday we made a quick trip to stretch our legs around town. Then visited Janus’ other vacation rentals, all very nice! We forgot to make any reservations, so we had grilled ham & cheese sandwiches for dinner and hang in the pool. Lots of bats at Sunset, cool & creepy. Monday, we hiked Gros Piton. We met jermal when he dropped us off. It was a bit more challenging than we anticipated. Be sure to eat something before you go. I did but my husband didn’t and he regretted it. I made it up and down just fine, but I was sore for 2 days. After I would consider myself pretty fit, but I walked like a penguin for a while…good time though. Glad we did it! Jermal picked us up and brought us back here. We made reservations with Chef Ramsey. He made us the grilled chicken with garlic ginger sauce. In the top three best meals we have ever had. We decided to have him back on Friday (our anniversary) so we could try the port with battered bananas- another fantastic meal. You got to have him over at least once- you won’t be sorry. Tuesday, we decided beach day was in order. You know because of soreness and Dylan took us over to Malgretoute beach. What a gem of a place. Levi was our concierge and hooked us up with anything & everything we needed. We chilled in the chairs under the mango trees all day and we drank delicious drinks and ate delicious food. On the way over Dylan stopped at the drug store so that I can get some sunscreen. You may notice two almost full tan extenders in the bathroom…Word to the wise (as I wasn’t) Double check what they give you in in fact spf. Oops. I was like well I need some sun screen, so I whatsapp’d Janus and asked him that big favor “uh, hi, im silly & grabbed not spf, can you help?” and of course he did. Jermal delivered us some spf right to our chairs! Talk about service! There should be some of that left too! Please don’t let it go to waste lol! Mango tree hotel is where we went to dinner. Food was very tasty and the view was beautiful! Wednesday we went Zip lining. I messaged jermal that we wanted to go to rainforest Ziplining and had reservations for 4 hour tour. We were a little late because a road was closed, so we did some offroading in jermals very nice van. W arrived at Tree top Adventures. We didn’t realize until we finished the 12 lines that this was not where we made the reservations online…another, but it was the best miscommunication, our guide took us lots of pictures and videos for us that we can guarantee that we wouldn’t have gotten had we been in a large group. It was just the 2 of us with the guides, Bob & Melvin (we think). Since we got a lot of time back, we had jermal give us a little tour driving back on the other side of the island. Drove up through Castries and made a few stops for goodies. We got some bread, bowls made out of calabash and some banana honey bbq sauce. Came back to the villa to chill before going back to Ladera for sunset dinner. I asked Janus if he happened to have pool floats and wouldn’t you know, he had a tube to me in 15 minutes. What a boss Thursday we only left to walk to Massy’s for food, water and beers. Stayed in, floated and had bacon, green pepper pizza. It was good and we were glad we took at least one full day to hang at Serrana. And Dr. Joseph came here for our Covid tests. Friday it was our second beach day. Not sad about that at all, got to do some snorkeling, it was awesome. Met blaze and got the best pina coladas ever made with sour sop which I would describe as a mango pineapple coconut fruit. So good, we got it with the fruit on top. LOL! And it’s Saturday now, we are sad to go. But we will be back. We are waiting on our Quasadiallas from Carda Treats (card on the table) we got some yesterday and they were goof (fire them a holla) That’s all folks…enjoy your stay…we know you will!! XOXO Bill & Amber Edington P.S- Jermals Rum Punch Drink is super good! Honeymoon

Oh no my pen is running out of ink! He’s the best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. His staff and family, treat you like family. Chef Ramsey (private chef) 12/10 He is an absolute must have/do. Best food on the trip. Very personable and loves food and his family. I wish Chef Ramsey would adopt me! Jermal and the other drivers – 15/10 The drivers, ours was Jermal, are incredible.
