Our only regret is that our stay was so brief! We will be back! Janus is an exceptional host and the Villa as you now know is perfect. The view from the bed is what dreams are made of. Know that you can walk right down. Enjoy the amazing view, vibe and hospitality of this magical place. We will be back, with friends sooner than later.

We ended our honeymoon at Serrana Villa after a week-long stay at Sandals La Toc.

We were a little nervous leaving the resort and having to navigate the island on our own, but Janus was so very welcoming. It was very comforting and reassuring.

We spent most of the weekend in the villa, relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous view on the balcony mostly because we did not rent a car and were limited on the exploring we could do.

CAR RENTAL: either rent a car (SUV) or Janus is available to transport if needed. If we hadn’t already spent a week at Sandals, we would have rented a car to do more exploring.

WHAT TO DO ON FOOT: botanical gardens, waterfall, mineral bath-$7 USD per person, pretty flowers and easy to walk to (a little over a mile) 

HUMMINGBIRD BEACH/ RESORT:  closest beach to get to on foot. Nice bar and restaurant there. We had Piton Beer $11EC/ 2 beers, did not try food. Quiet beach more locals than tourists.

We ate our meals at the villa and that worked well for us but, but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance: Pettie Peak, Orlando’s Ruby’s, Whispers and Pier 28.

Everywhere you walk they will offer a water taxi/ taxi so if you want to get somewhere you can, just have to bargain the price.

Overall, very relaxing and to our honeymoon, can’t beat this place and what it offers for the price! We feel very fortunate to have found such a perfect spot to spend our last few days in St Lucia!

We have been staying I Soufriere for some time now but decided to treat ourselves for our honeymoon with a stay at Serrana Villa.

We were not disappointed. A lovely welcome from Janus to this beautiful villa with first class facilities and a fantastic view.

The weather has not been altogether kind with an unusual amount of rainfall for this time of year, so it was great to have such a comfortable place to shelter in and when the sun came out it was lovely chilling on the balcony admiring the beautiful view.

We have found the locals extremely friendly.

LOVE ST.LUCIA!

It felt like staying in a treehouse in the middle of the rainforest! We loved hearing the rain pour down at night many times on the tin roof. Great views. Will tell many friends about Serena Villa! Only 4 nights here so we stayed pretty & lowkey. 

Highlights-

• Zaka’s for coffee
• Petit Peak-Vegetable Roti- Best I’ve had!
• Pier 28- spine coffee(blended), chicken pasta -Yum!
• Ruby’s- for pizza

Resort Hopping

• Ladera- Private, not friendly to outsiders but we captured a few great photos.
• ​Sugar Beach- they charged us $100 to go down to resort to be used towards food, food is actually bland nothing to write home about great setting between pitons, but they wouldn’t let us use pool or beach chairs, so we spent our time in the water on a floating “ring” lol! we were told at entrance we could use all facilities. Nope disappointed! But god we said it. Probably wouldn’t go again.
• Jade Mountain- Had to make a reservation for a drink- to get up there and we were only ones there! It was incredible – Stunning settings, fabulous architecture, probably the highlight of our entire trip! Afterwards spent time at Anse Chastenet for lunch and walked to Anse Mamin private beach, great beach-quiet.

How we got there: water taxi from downtown with Martin. Cost US $40 one way for all of us. US $80 RT Worth it! 

What we’d do different:
We would not rent a car we would take a water taxi from airport to Soufriere. We were on edge always driving these roads with a rental car!

Other Sites:

Drive in Volcano- $80 EC. Was a bit disappointed was a bit disappointed with the “the marketing” on this you will see what we mean…. History -Great!

Toraille Waterfall- Great waterfall close by- was wonderful at first until 3 bus loads of tourists showed up! $3 USD. Great photo opp and very powerful massage!

Janus- Very hospitable and quite the business man, apparently. We hang out with another couple that were staying at his condos and had great laughs.

Thanks for everything Janus! Esp the fruit! Grapefruit was awesome!

This book is already full of every great thing about this area, so I’ll be brief. It’s hard to beat this magnificent view or the great locals or Janus’ fantastic hospitality. This Villa seems out of some romance Novel. Great stay, better honeymoon.!
