After reading all the good comments about Janus and the apartment, we were very excited to see if this can be really true. And sure it is true. We loved our stay in the Villa, and the service from Janus was really good Janus served us coconuts, fruits and bread.
We had a small rental car at our stay here at the island. One of the days we tried to reach Sugar Beach, but had to give up. The engine in the car could not make the hills!!! Sugar Beach was explored the day after with a transportation from a driver from Janus. I will not recommend the free area at the beach. Boats with people who wanted to snorkel was coming all the time and it smells gasoline. $100 for two sunbeds, was more than we wanted to pay for only a few hours, but the cocktails at the beach bar was really good and with $12-16 not so expensive. My boyfriend had ‘ Sex on the beach’ with ‘Hally Berry’ SURE!!! The best dinner we had here was at ‘’Ruby’s’’. Really good food! The cook was coming and talk to us after the main course to hear if we were satisfied. And since it was my birthday celebration he made us a special dessert with ice-cream and fruits flambert in rum. We would like to stay some more days but our next stop on our round trip is Trinidad. We hope to come back one day! Steffi & Marten, Oslo, Norway. Thank You Janus for the beautiful place!
We rented a car and stayed a couple days in Rodney Bay then came down to Soufriere. Best way to discover the island! We did 2 days diving with Dive St. Lucia (Rodney Bay). Best Centre ever! They also do snorkeling. Best boat and staff. The dive at the Pitons and Anse Chastanet was great!
Thank You Janus for the incredible mango (the best I had in a long time) and the bread. We had a wonderful stay! Karine Et Eric Quebec City, Canada What a beautiful place! We loved spending part of our honeymoon in this beautiful villa.
I think our favorite part was taking it slow in the morning and drinking coffee terrace looking out at the beautiful view. Janus brought us the best mango we’ve ever had. He also had great recommendations for things to do and made sure we were always comfortable and felt at home. I really love how the villa gives you the chance to explore Soufriere and the more local spots away from all the resorts. A few activities/Restaurants we recommend: Tet Paul Nature Trail - easy 45 minute trail (open 9-5) with breath-taking views. About a 10 minute drive from the villa Sunset Sail- Mystic Man Tours Dinner at Jade Mountain- ($$-but delicious, incredible view) Thanks Janus & staff for a wonderful stay! -Anne & Spencer My boyfriend and I take about 15 short trips each year. Almost everyone we do, we stay @ AirBnB’s. Janus – Yours is probably the best one we’ve stayed at so far! You’ve made our weekend getaway quite special by building this beautiful house in such a great location. And kept all of the comforts of home included. The “American Friendly” outlets & the local phone for use during our stay are the comfort touches all vacations rentals should have! Kirhil – You saved our butts! Thank you so much for taking your time to show us around and check out all of the local spots. Your driving was PERFECT! And your conversation was even better. You made our trip so much better than we could have ever imagined. MUST DO/ SEE/EAT:
Sulphur Springs Mud Bath: don’t get the tour, just do the bath. Sugar Beach: Beautiful! Fond Doux Holiday Plantation: excellent food and so beaufitul! Ruby’s Pizza: Decent food, slow service Thank you! Josh and Ajala Dear Janus, Thank you for making this experience possible for us. Also please thank Marvin, Hyginus, Jamal and Swam for guiding us around the island. Activities: Kai Belte Spa at Anse Chastanet -We had an aromatherapy massage treatment in an open air room over the sea at sun set. What a great way to start the week! It’s expensive, but worthwhile if you are bringing a lot of stress and tension with you here. They also have express massage for $50. Sunset Pirate Cruise at Rodney Bay Marina -Highly recommended! It gets a little rowdy, especially after multiple refills of complementary drinks. Hilarious! Tree Top Adventure Park near Dennery Even though it rained, we loved zipping through the rain forest. They have 12 zip lines, the highest and fastest in St. Lucia. Sulphur Springs, Waterfall and Tet Paul Tour Loved seeing the plants and high views of the island! The mud and ‘’powerwash’’ treatment was more fun than I anticipated and it’s a good way to soothe itchy bug bites. We couldn’t have done it without our driver Jamal. Also enjoyed a Piton beer under the Petit Piton and lunch at Fedo’s. Restaurants:
-Dasheen at Ladera- -Fine Dining and Views. Jade Mountain Club- -Very fine dining and Views and Celebrity treatment. Petit Peak- -Casual spot. Dinner is not served until 6pm. Tables by the windows are reserved. Food was good. Whispers- -Casual local bar. Orlando’s- -The vibe was off when we went. Food was great. Beach Bar at Anse Chastanet- -Views! Fedo’s- -Great local spot. Ruby’s- -Loved this place! Best burgers and a nice owner. TreeHouse at Anse Chastanet- -One of the favorites! Fine dining in the trees and a courage with live music. Shout out to Teddy St. James. Maria & Geoff Boston Thank you Janus for facilitating everything and creating this amazing villa. It was truly a little piece of heaven on earth. We loved waking up to the amazing views and the privacy that the villa offered. Also, (Maybe one day they’ll return to read this). Huge thank you to all of the previous guests who took the time to offer suggestions! Here are our take-aways: Activities Climbing the Gros Piton: One of the most amazing, most challenging, and rewarding experiences. Our guide wasn’t very chatty but he was relatively patient with our slew of questions and constant stops to recover. My husband and I are relatively fit people and this climb still kicked our butts! We went around 12pm and skipped all of the hotel traffic and guests. Sulphur Springs: Super cool experience! We went after 5pm and beat the crowds; the water is very hot (100 degrees.) So enjoy at your own risk…totally worth it though! Diamond Waterfall & Botanical Garden: very neat experience. We didn’t pay for a guide and just wondered around at our own leisure. Very quaint and relaxing experience. Snorkelling at Anse Chastanet: we loved it so much that we went twice! It was $22USD each time but such a great experience! The coral diversity is breathtaking! Tet Paul Nature Trail: Bring your cameras! The views are absolutely amazing! Our guide was great! Doesn’t take very long to walk but we took our time and really soaked it all in. Drove around entire island: Took us 5 hours! The drive up to Gros Islet are beautiful but roads are dangerous. We never got out of the car but it was quite an adventure! Meals Mango Tree Restaurant at Stonefield: The views are mesmerising but the food is okay. We went for lunch and enjoyed the service. Martha’s Table: The best lunch we had on the entire island. You must go! Jade Mountain: Oh my god! The service, the food, the experience was so amazing. Totally worth every penny ($350USD). We can’t wait to come back with more time and more money our experience was indescribable! Absolutely loved our time here! Albery & Angel
New York, NY As promised: To Janus and guests: My recipe for Pina Colada ½ cup of Malibu coconut rum ½ cup of bounty rum (Dark) ½ can coconut cream 1 ½ cup of Pineapple juice ¼ cup of condensed milk plenty of ice Sip & & enjoy |
WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
