First off, thanks to Janus and his crew for making our St. Lucia honeymoon an incredible and unforgettable experience!

First off, thanks to Janus and his crew for making our St. Lucia honeymoon an incredible and unforgettable experience! While we stayed at the villa longer than most others, we did many of the things as our predecessors, so we can’t elaborate on those beyond our personal experiences and opinions.

Attractions
  • Toraille Waterfall: make sure you go with a bathing suit. It’s beautiful but there is nothing to do other than go for a dip.
  • Diamond Botanical Gardens: a must stop, lots of beautiful flora to take in at our own pace or have yourself a guide for the full experience.
  • Tet Paul Nature Trail – it was closed while we were here due to a landslide, can’t speak to it and we’re disappointed we missed out.
  • Sulphur Springs: go for the bath and the tour. While the tour is too short it was quite informative. The mud baths were great but they will leave you smelling like Sulphur for a day or two. Wear you least favorite bathing suit! So relax and enjoy!

*Note: ALL OF THE ABOVE CAN BE DONE IN ONE DAY!
  • Pigeon Island : great national park to do some hiking and learn about the British/French occupation. There is a beach next to the entrance so bring your swimsuit if you foray a deep.
  • Soufriere: The people are nice and there are lots of nice little gems to discover. Don’t be intimidated; go for a walk in town, be mindful of your belongings and be firm if you reject local offers for water taxis, “Bob Marley” and whatever else.
  • Castries: everyone says it’s not worth going to the “Big City” and they’re right. Pit stop on your way to pigeon island and Antillies Brewery or Point Seraphine make some delicious craft beer, otherwise it’s a hard pass.
  • Marigot Bay: beautiful but not much to do unless you’re staying at one of the resorts. Still worth the stop on your way north.
  • Rodney Bay: worth checking out the mall if you wish to do some shopping. Otherwise it’s tourist central on the island.
  • Sugar Beach: beautiful beach run by a resort out to make money. The view is incredible. The sand is near pristine and the water is cool. Other than that, the tepas lunch was pricey, the drinks likewise and the shuttle unnecessary if you are undaunted by a walk up the hill.
  • Anse Chastanet Beach: the beach and the views is less than at Sugar Beach and non-guest are herded in the local area. However, lunch options were better and we found that the staff were more polite than at sugar beach despite us not being guests at the resort.
  • Enbas Saut: a fantastic walk through the rainforest with a forestry office guide. There were torrential downpours the morning of so we unfortunately could not go down all the way to the waterfall. Still a great experience, enjoyed some fresh fruit along the way.

Eats
  • Martha’s Tables: a quaint restaurant with decent eats but there are better ($$)
  • Fedos: the place to go for homemade meals, delicious ($)
  • Bell View: are on par with Fedo’s, their national dish is fantastic ($)
  • Skipper’s : no-frills buffet, decent enough for our first creole meal on vacation ($)
  • Dasheene: you can’t beat the view and our meals were top-notch, but you pay for it ($$$)
  • Boucan: another killer resort meal and their deserts were to die for (everything chocolate) ($$$)
  • Petit Peak: a bit more pricey than similar restaurants but the rotis are killer ($)
  • Jade Mountain Club: by for our most expensive meal but what an experience. Loved it ($$$$)

All in all, a wonderful vacation full of unforgettable experiences. a special shout out to Janus, Fabian and Marvin for being wonderful hosts and guides. St. Lucia hasn’t seen the last of US!

******Last minute Addition***

Morne Coubaril Historical Adventure Park: after a few rainy days spent at the villa, we decided to end our vacation with a bang. We booked a zipline adventure last minute, and wow! It was amazing. The estate is beautiful and we were the only ones there. The zipline team was awesome. Omiah and Murphy were so much fun, and informative. He caught every moment of our adventure, it was worth it!!!

    WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
While most places in the world have four well-defined seasons, its proximity to the equator means that this is not really the case for the island of St. Lucia.
