We did get passed by what seemed to be a marathon/mountain climbing body building couple as they ran up the piton…+ back down before we got to the top….so good for them.

We stayed the 1st two nights @ Bay Gardens Resort in Rodney Bay (Top of Island), you’re not missing much, don’t bother going up. 

-Soufriere Recommendations. 

• Go to Zaka’s Art Café get the iced coffee. Also, look at all his art pieces; wood with painted face + Soufriere attractions. Zaka will be the older guy in the corner doing book work or painting…with a “Fatty” rolled up smoking…He’s super funny…make sure to say “Hi”

 

• Go to skippers + order a peanut punch! It’s like dessert in a glass. We also got the fish + chips…they were good ! the fish was not deep fried ……grille to perfection. 

 

• Simon Says Tours: we went to the sulfur mud baths + waterfalls, snorkeling + Gros Piton through him. You can trust his tours and the more you do with him…the better he “understands” what you want. 

Go Walk Around! As 2 girls on vacation, we never felt UN-safe. All the locals said hi + asked if we were having a good time. talk to them…you’ll get good “local” info and just some good laughs at the least 😊 
Let us inform you about …

The “Gros Piton Hike” we both are hikers from Washington state. We have hiked a section of the pacific northwest trail (PCF) 72 miles, in 6 days 5 nights. We would classify ourselves as great hikers. Now keep in mind….it’s still the “off-season” back at home for us…but this 4 mile hike/climb kicked our ass!!

So if you go on this hike/climb….consider taking Advil before you leave and after….while also making sure to get the local ice cream + more cold water at the bottom once you return down the Piton 😊 Recommend having an Ice Cold Piton + Kit Kat Bar while jumping in your amazing infinity pool back at Serrana…..actually, don’t jump….the sign says not to…just slowly lower yourself in and say aawwww 😊 
P.S yes, we made it to the top in less than the average time.
