We have been in St. Lucia for almost 2 weeks and have divided our time between 3 locations (Rodney Bay in the north at Bay Gardens Beach Resort) Marigot Bay _Marigot Palms Guest House and last was definitely not least, Serrana Villa (2 nights as that is all we could get and today moving to Sapphire Apt. # 2, also owned by Super Host Janus. Janus is a Unique Rising Star- very hard working and great manager/organizer for his staff. We were welcomed into the villas as if it was our own – enjoyed the fruit and bread delivery from Janus! Thanks so much! We’ve only been in Soufriere for a couple of days, so we weren’t experts on the area but we did visit the Sulphur Springs/Mud Baths late yesterday afternoon (lots of fun). And got a takeaway from fedos to enjoy at the villa for supper (they close at 5:00pm). We also plan to visit Anse Chastanet, Anse Mamin, Sugar Beach and Tet Pail Nature Trail. We walked from the villa into Soufriere yesterday and enjoyed getting a flavor of the local people and their way of life. We’ve rented a vehicle from Islander Car (Marcus Antoine) on Janus’s Suggestion. Were glad to have the extra clearance on vehicle, especially for roads in the town (back roads); The ‘’highway’’ wasn’t as scary as we’d been told. We are used to mountains and windy roads where we live but have fewer potholes. We love the location of the villa, backing onto the jungle, watching the bats and fire flies at night was something we had not experienced in a long time, the infinite pool is awesome and we will really miss it ! Loved the beautiful view from this location and all the features of the villa. Appreciate having the laundry facility after being away from home for 2 weeks. We loved our stay in St. Lucia, It’s warm, friendly people, the gorgeous and beautiful water to swim/snorkel in (went to Anse Couchon while staying in Marigot Bay) get snorkeling and nice lunch at Ti- Kaye Resort. Rented flippers there but brought our own mask. We also spent some time at Pigeon Island in the north, nice little family oriented beach and walked up to the top where the cannons are located, beautiful view from that vintage point.
Thank you so much Janus for all your help and hospitality. We really hope to stay longer at the villa next time. Bev & Bruce Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada (Vancouver Island). Comments are closed.
