SERRANA VILLA JOURNAL

Explore all the Trailblazers. They’ll put you on the right path.

Our stay was Fantastic.  Unbelievable accommodations. We wouldn’t do it any other way!

7/5/2017

  • Day 1: We few in on a late flight, and went to the Supermarket, so we didn’t get to Serrana Villa until 5. Janus was there to welcome us and give us the grand tour. The Villa was everything we expected and more. After the tour we went down, we went to the water front for dinner at Pitit Peak. Food was good, view was great. After dinner, we came back to the Villa and had a few drinks on the Patio.

  • Day 2: We got up planning on going to the Botanical Gardens, but we got over there and it didn’t open until 10:00am. So, we decided to try Sugar Beach instead. This place is AMAZING! Even though we got there way too early (US$30) We first tried sitting on the chairs but that was a no go. They wanted $100 for two chairs. So, we just put our towels down on the sand. At first, we thought the drinks prices were over pricey, but soon realized that’s just how they are at the resorts. I will say they are very strange and they will shuttle you back to the parking lot when you show your receipt. (hill to the packing area is very steep) For lunch we went to Martha’s Tables. It was so good. (just don’t pet the cats they will scratch you!) Highly recommend. After lunch, we came back to the Villa, swam and took a nap. For dinner, we went to Ruby’s on the corner. Pizza was very good and great service.

  • Day 3: Was a pretty rainy Day. We got up and went to Tet Paul Nature Trail. Views were amazing. Bring your Camera. Trail was very easy and short (45 mins) There were lots of steps so wear shoes. Cost US$10            per person. After that we went to the drive-in Volcano. This was very neat. Loved hearing the history. We came back to the Villa for lunch then went to Anse Chastanet depite the rain. We had drinks and food at the beach bar hoping the rain would clear. After one drink, we walked around the corner to Anse Mamin. This place is absolutely amazing. There were no people only us. We rented chairs (U.S $55 for 2) Even though it rained off and on it was still great. For dinner, we went to Pounty’s Pizza. Best Pizza on the Island. Only open on Weekends but so worth it!

  • Day 4: We got up early planned on going to Pigeon Island but it was so pretty out we didn’t want to spend the day in the car. We decided to go back to Sugar Beach restaurant and it was amazing. We spent the day lounging and swimming. That evening when we were trying to find where to eat we quickly realize that most restaurants were closed because it was Sunday. The ones that weren’t were being used for Family functions. We finally found Whispers. We really were not impressed. There were only two options, fried chicken or fried fish. Just not what we wanted to spend $35 on.

  • Day 5: we woke up early to make the drive to Pigeon Island ($10 per person). It took up a little under two hours to get there. We really loved pigeon Island if you don’t mind a little drive it’s a pretty neat place. It probably took us 1 ½ hours to explore the entire trail system. Very beautiful views. After exploring we went to reduit beach. This beach was pretty but you do get harassed by vendors. We ate lunch at spinnakers on the beach. Good food for a decent price. We then went to the mall and got souvenirs before heading back. That night we decided to make pasta home.

  • Day 6: We got up made breakfast and went up to Anse Chastanet to Snorkel. Highly recommended. There were so many fish and beautiful reef and only U.S $22 for both of us. After that we walked back to Anse Mamin and split a burger that was U.S $30. Very good but pricey. At that afternoon we came back home and spent the rest of the day making rum drinks by the pool

Best Beaches:
  1. Sugar Beach – for views
  2. Anse Mamin – for privacy
  3. Anse Chastanet – for snorkeling
  4. Reduit beach – pretty beach but not really our scene (crowded and a bit trashed. Many vendors)

Our stay was Fantastic.  Unbelievable accommodations. We wouldn’t do it any other way!
Thanks

    WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
While most places in the world have four well-defined seasons, its proximity to the equator means that this is not really the case for the island of St. Lucia.
