After 4 amazing days at Serrana Villa we’ve pieced together some highlights and suggestions for those who follow us…

Number One: You’re already here!! Lucky, lucky you!! Serrana Villa is simply incredible! You are so close to everything, the views are breathtaking. The plunge pool refreshing. And you have JANUS!! Know you will be well taken care of by this guy. He’s warm friendly and oh so helpful. By the time you leave you’ll feel you have a forever friend in him. 

As for other recommendations: 

Attractions

• Tet Paul Nature Trail – Hard to imagine better views from anywhere else on the island. Lisa + Fluffy were great guides. MUST DO!! Go Early! 
• Diamond Falls/Toraille Falls. Both so close! At Diamond falls we had Alexander the Great  - what a character, but full of knowledge about the area. Both falls were very pretty. Go early before the tours get there. We had them all to ourselves!! 
• Sulphur Springs mud bath – Wow!! We were very skeptical but became to believers very quickly. You’ll be amazed at what it does for you skin. Go later in the day – 4:30 or 5pm. Tours are gone + you can visit with locals who tend to go then. 

Beaches 

• Humming beach – Surprisingly fun, local beach. Not too touristy. We actually loved this laid back beach a lot. 
• Sugar Beach – Absolutely beautiful little beach nestled between the pitons. Let the resort personnel at the gate  know you’re going tdown for cocktail/snack and they’ll shuttle you down. Then actually have that cocktail (delicious) save your receipt + head to the beach . great snorkeling and again breathtaking views. 
• Anse Chastanet/Anse Mamin Both Beautiful but the short walk to Anse Mamin is so worth it. We had it to ourselves much of the day. GET THE BURGER +  cocoloco! Mmm!! Good snorkeling but watch out for the current. 

Restaurant / Bars

• Ruby’s  - very very good+ nice atmosphere. No pizza when we went. 
• Petit peak – went twice, good food + fantastic location. 
• Martha’s Tables – our hands down favorite. She’s not open on weekends, but it’s a great place for lunch (open 12-3) on your way to sugar beach! Startup a conversation with Martha – She’s amazing + the food was Delish!! 
• Water Front Belle View – Loved This place and had a great meal nice people! 
• Fedos – Skip it!!! 
• Mambo Bar – our absolute favorite bar. Say “Hi to Barbara, the owner for us!! Strike up a conversation with her + you’ll see why we love this place so much. 

Overall – Don’t be intimidated or hesitant to wander into any local establishment. Those little hole in the wall places had some of the most fun, friendly people we met. In some, we had locals buying us a round before we were even fully seated. Use basic common sense and you couldn’t be safer!
