Janus, I don’t know where to start. Our overall stay was amazing! The view and the privacy was just what we were looking for and your team made it fun and adventurous despite all the Covid- 19 restrictions. This was an amazing vacation and everything we needed after a year of not travelling. I will make sure to share the word to my Family. Okay To Travelers, if you are brave enough to take the trip we want you to enjoy your stay. Things to do Stopping at the grocery store and getting breakfast food and liquor are one of the best moves. We made a big pitcher of Rum Punch for the pool and breakfast food! Take the Private Soufriere Tour (Janus will help you set it up). Sulphur Springs, great view, waterfalls as well as drinks! Go to roots and try their fresh juice made every day if you have time! Dream has a rum cheesecake that is also made every day Malgretoute Beach was a great hideaway beach with drinks and meals Hotel Chocolat Restaurant!!! Last But Note Least CHEF RAMSEY!!!! We booked Chef Ramsey as our chef TWICE!! The food was fresh and amazing both times that he came and cooked for us!! He went the extra mile and went all out to find Lobster and fresh red snapper! It is our last morning. I’ve been finishing the rum punch Have a great stay at Sargas Villa! Lynn & Brian
Colombia Ohio. This was amazing here. Sadly a lot was shut down because of COVID restrictions but Janus made sure we had everything we needed. He made sure our meals were taken care of. Day 1- Stopped at Massy Supermarket on the way to Villa from Airport. Driver was so nice. Janus made sure we had something to drink. Day 2- Malie was our driver today and took us Hiking on The Tet Paul trail, poured us some Rum punch then took us to get carry out lunch. Gave us a nice tour of Soufriere. Relaxed until the evening. Day 3- Could only go to Malgretoute Beach, was okay but nice. We had drinks and food there. Ramiah was our driver, again they catch to all our needs. He even dropped us off and came back with rum punch. Day 4- Went on boat excursion with Daniel at Feel good tours. He took us to Marigot Bay. We hang on the beach and was able to get drinks. We did the rope swing. A lot of fun!. He also took us snorkeling in different places. These guys were great. You must do this!! Day 5- Day to go to town at Hosputal to get Covid Test to go home. Also took a couple hours. Stopped to get lunch, stayed at villa the whole day. Chef Ramsey came around 5:30. He made us an awesome dinner and desert!! We had a nice bottle of wine also Day 6- Enjoyed the villa, and Janus picked us up to show us his new property. We were able to see the other villas. Janus has a really great thing going on here. He has a great vision and and will make that happen. Really enjoyed our time with him. We actually made our own dinner this evening and just hang low. Day 7- So sad its our last full day here. Called Daniel from Feel good tour so see if we could just go out to snorkel today. He said sure and is only charging us $100us because we have been out with him before. They gave us rum punch which is delicious here. We drank it all week. Stopped and picked up lunch. We stayed at the villa all evening. Day 8- Spent morning at villa swam in pool (as it was so beautiful today) Very hard to leave. 1. Be sure to enjoy rum punch 2. Do feel good tours 3. Chef Ramsey Thanks to Ramiah, Malie, Tarik and the other drivers. They were the best. Felt like royalty and will miss being called “My Lady” Janus is the best, he met all our needs!!! We will be back Kelsey & Nick 1.9.21-1.14.21
Boston MA, United states Dear Janus I want to start off this note by saying this villa is pure bliss!! Then to add you and your teams hospitality and welcoming is second to none! I have truly felt like royalty the entire time we stayed here. Your team is beyond incredible, the kindest people I have ever met, full of beautiful stories and their love for this island. I was so grateful we were able to celebrate our 2 years anniversary here- we could not have asked for a more relaxing and gorgeous getaway!! Thank you for absolutely everything!! Now for some recommendation for the lucky travelers that get to stay in Sargas Villa after us… Day 1: we arrived on Saturday and thanks to Janus incredible hospitality we were easily accommodated to get a ride from the airport. Laurence picked us up and we got a beautiful tour of the island on the way to Soufriere. He even stopped to pick-up some Piton Beers- the local one- you have to try. We knew that the villa was gorgeous from the pictures but we were both absolutely speechless when we arrived. Not only janus smiling and welcoming face there to greet us and gave us a tour, but we could not believe this entire villa was ours. I honestly may never stay at a resort again. We stopped at the local market on our way to the villa so we made an easy meal in the kitchen with a nice bottle of red! Day 2: Villa and pool day!!! We wanted to spend the day relaxing by the pool and sipping on some drinks. So that is exactly what we did. Started off the morning making delicious eggs and jamming to some Caribbean tunes. We used the blender to make some rum drinks- the local juices works perfectly for this, someone accidentally grabbed the adapter but thanks to janus being an incredible host even came by the villa with one and shampoo. Hes the best. He gave us a recommendation to go to Mango Tree restaurant for dinner. We used his private drivers and had the car in on time. The food was delicious. Definitely recommend and also try to catch sunset while you’re there. Day 3:We decided the night before we wanted to do a private tour through Janus (islander tours) this was super easy to book through Janus. We had a driver at the villa at 9:00am and were ready to see what Soufriere had to offer. So glad we got Shane. He was the best tour guide and bumped some sweet tunes the whole way. The first part of the tour we did a hike- Tet Paul Nature Trail. Highly recommend the views are stunning. You see the Pitons from another perspective. It is also an easy hike if you don’t want to do the Pitons. Nest we went to the Volcano + Sulphur Springs (the famous mud bath) My boyfriend was hesitant to do the mud baths but thanks to Laurence and shane they convinced him it was worth it. The drive-In volcano was super cool, but the mud baths was awesome!! Make sure to wear dark bathing suites so you don’t stain it. They told us wed feel 10 years younger it worked. Lat on tour was the torille waterfall. This was perfect after the mud baths. Refreshing way to rinse off and truly beautiful. You have the option to add lunch to the tour so we said why not. Shane brought us to a local spot called ‘’The Dream’’ and it was absolutely delicious. The only thing I wish I added to this day was the Botanical Gardens, still best tour ever and it was so nice having it be exclusively to us!! Rest of the day we sat by the pool, read and drank some more rum! Day 4: This was basically a repeat day of day 2, you are on vacation, you have this amazing villa make sure to enjoy it!. We heard amazing things reading this guide book about this ‘’private chef experience’’ – so we knew we had to try it. Let me tell you- Ramsey DID NOT disappoint. We loved learning that Ramsey is actually Janus’ Dad. We went for the grilled seafood. It was mouth-watering to say the best. Grateful we got to have this experience. We also planned to do it on our last night just to give you an idea of how amazing he is. Amazing 2 year anniversary dinner Day 5:We were torn between a boat tour and Marigot Bay and decided on Marigot Bay once again. Janus set us up with a driver- this time Ramiah- he was awesome! The drive to Marigot Bay was stunning, all of it, but what was even cooler was that we had the entire bay to ourselves (bc you know covid) it was so peaceful and felt completely excluded! A local came up to us and offered coconut rum drinks (def. try it). Also his name was sunny which Is even better. Another local came up to us and offered us fruit and the banana ketchup. We cant wait to try it. We ate at Doolittles and did take-outs on the beach- super yummy. To wrap up our beautiful beach day we had another drink on the docks before Ramiah picked us back up. Once we got back to the villa, we took a shower (rain showers are the best), watched the sunset and walked to whispers for dinner. This was a local recommendation by Janus and a few others! Lastly, stopped at the local pizza shop near there to have some bites for tomorrow! Now its off to Serrana Villa for the rest of our trip Thank you Janus and your team for the most incredible trip. We love you and your team. XO Kels & Nick We had a great stay at Sargas. The villa is amazing! The view is breathtaking. We could stare at it forever. We enjoyed the fresh breeze that swam through the villa.
Having afternoon tea overlooking the Pitons, while watching the sun set, was truly an unforgettable experience. I recommend some Earl grey tea or coffee with some “rosemary” Pastry from Ma Kirby’s Bakery for afternoon tea. Thank you, Janus for allowing us to have an amazing stay at Villa Sargas. The memories are unforgettable. We will definitely be back! Cheers Alden & Candace Day 1- arrived in St. Lucia at 2:30pm and had no problems with airport transfer. Malie was great and answered all our questions. He even stopped at a local bar for drinks and introduced us to some locals. It was thanks giving in St. Lucia so all the stores were closed, but we got some essentials at the gas station.. Hang out in the villa and took a relaxing tip in the pool. Day 2-Alton picked us up for our Soufriere tour. Volcano, Tet Paul, Botanical Gardens & Waterfall were all amazing. Alton took us for lunch at Belle View which was fantastic.. Try their rum punch. Its great!! Janus dropped off some fresh mangoes too!! Got ready then went for dinner at Dasheene at Ladera. Reservation was for 6 but we arrived at 5:15pm (do this). Had the place to ourselves for cocktails and best seats. The food and people were amazing would definitely go back. Day 3- One of our favorite days. Had pre-booked the romance rituals massage at Kaile belte spa At Anse Chastanet resort. The massage was very good and was nice as it was air conditioned. Afterwards we looked around the resort and decided to walk down to Anse Mamin. (it was an easy walk and worth it!) W e were one of 4 couples on the entire beach and got the beach package (chair & umbrella) Super quiet and staff was extremely friendly. Best burgers on the Island. Day 4- Villa Day!!! Relaxed by the pool. And relaxed at the wonderful Sargas. Got to tour Saba with and to hear about his top secret plans. Tried to go to Fedos for lunch but it was closed so went to Valelse instead and it was well worth the 2 extra blocks. Try the chicken roti. Got to know some locals. Came back to get ready for Chef Ramsey. He came at 6:00pm and he was extremely friendly and even shared a drink with us. The seafood trio was extremely tasty in the privacy of our own home. Day 5- Made the trip to Sugar Beach. Much different from Anse Mamin. Busier, white sand bit more ritzy. People were great and we had no problems at all. The snorkeling was fantastic. Beautiful views in between the Pitons. Cleared up from the beach and headed to Jade Mountain for dinner. This was by far our very best experience in St. Lucia. Pricey but well worth it! Alton dropped us at the bottom gate, we took a shuttle to the top (great dinner) were greeted by first name by 3 people at the top. We were the only ones there to start. Bartender took pictures of us and gave us free appetizers . After cocktails we got seated at table under the stars and tried both the regular lobster tasting menus. Junior one server was incredible. We would come back to St. Lucia for this meal alone. Day 6- back to Anse Mamin for a Maxing last day with beach burgers. Came home to spend some last time and have some drinks and pool time. Day 7- Pack-up and left Important tips
Thank you for everything Janus!! Love Yury & Vincent
Thank you St. Lucia Dec. 2- Dec. 7 2019 Came here to celebrate our 10th year anniversary and could not be any happier that I chose this place. Janus was awesome on assisting in anything we needed ”Super Host” for real. Things to do Soufriere Tour- Volcano mud baths , Diamon Falls or Garden , Tet Paul Nature Trail Anse Mamin Beach – Took professional pictures there “Soul O’ Bliss” the name of the company Chef- Must do was awesome Fedos – local place to eat and around the corner, very reasonable prices Hummingbird – nice for dinner, Wednesday nights band, pricey but food is good Ti Tak – nice souvenirs place and awesome ice coffee, the best Petit Peak- took a 20 minute walk to explore the island, infront of the beach, good food. There is so much to do and write. The Villa, a beautiful home Love Yury & Vincent We made a last-minute decision to extend our honeymoon when we had to postpone our wedding because of COVID-19. Let me tell you, we made some lemonade out of lemons. Janus was super responsive and helpful, allowed us to book the day before we arrived. Janus’s brother picked us up at the airport and took us to the grocery store which made everything super easy and stress free. He was available any time after that as well. We booked chef Ramsey not once but twice. He was that good!!!! Everything about our stay at Sargas has been 5 star. We will for sure be back!!! Our favorite things were the beaches and the food. We spent 2 days at Anse Chastante/Anse Mamin.3/14/2020
Kristen & Michelle I’m not sure what I can say that hasn’t been said. The villa is beautiful. We were worried it wouldn’t live up to the photos online, but it absolutely does. The view from the patio is gorgeous and we loved sitting out there in the morning with our coffee. Janus and his team are wonderful!! They are always friendly and accommodating, whether it is a last minute stop at the grocery store or a change in pick-up time, they were able to help us out. Our favorite things were the beaches and the food. We spent 2 days at Anse Chastante/Anse Mamin. They have big beach umbrella to rent, snorkeling and drink service. It was very relaxing!!! On to the food. I highly recommend requesting chef Ramsey at least one night. The food was amazing and some of the ingredients came from his own garden. Its great for a day relaxing at the villa. The Mango Tree Restaurant has a great lunch and incredible view. Our favorite was Boucan at Hotel Chocolat. Great views again but incredible food, try the tuna! Thank you Janus for being a great host and making our stay so relaxing. I would 10/10 recommend to others We stayed 3 nights to explore the area of Soufriere. Janus is very friendly and happy to be having travelers and providing. it’s so nice to have a great host.
We travelled with our 3 young boys. the Sulphur springs and mud baths was a favorite, soaking in the warm mineral water and covering in mud really did seem to be good for the skin and was fun for the boys also! helped my husband’s psoriasis. Sugar beach is beautiful, and worth a visit but maybe by water taxi is better if you want to drive there its $50us. At the beach, they make you stay in a small little patch of sand – 90% of the beach is for viceroy guests only and they patrol to make sure you abide. We walked down to have an adventure out of it. It was a long hot walk down a steep road and we were regretful of the choice when it was time to come back. paid $10us to park in a private parking at the top. if you are a hiker and in shape it’s no different than hiking to the beach, if you want to save the money. if you plan a day of it and plan to eat there then it is worth it to pay $50us because it is a credit toward food and drink, their way of ensuring you spend some money there! We were not much impressed with the waterfalls. they are all very small and tourist traps, not like what we have enjoyed on other islands and you must pay on entry to each one; we were expecting rainforest and swimming in the falls. Mango tree was awesome for dinner, wish we had gotten there before sunset as the view likely would have been incredible! very pricey but it was the best meal we had here, worth the treat. Soufriere is a stunning area, candy for the eyes. we stayed north of the island for the first half of our trip in Castries. It is a different vibe. we enjoyed Margot bay and taking the water taxi to the picturesque bay beach. Also, did the Tet Paul natural hike. it is a very easy tour, not much walking, and was easy for the kids. Nice to get a guide to show you native flora fauna. the photos you’ll take at the top view point are totally worth the trip there. People will tell you your photos are too good to be real! Sargas is a beautiful villa, views are stunning! location is great. beds are comfy, kids loved the pool. Thank you Janus for your vision and for bringing this home to travelers appreciate not staying at a overpriced resorts and having beautiful private accommodations. We would highly recommend to anyone traveling to St Lucia. Melissa, Phil , Owen, alder, & Wyland Saratoga , NY usa Springs Nick & Salena Garber, north East, Maryland USA
Day 1 Monday Celebrating Salena’s 40th BDay! At the airport we were greeted by Kendel to get our rental SUV. He was kind and thorough. He gave us directions to the grocery store and even met us there so we could follow him to Sargas. I was surprised at the lack of fresh foods. We spent a lot of money so we could pack picnic lunches and make dinner. We bought their entire stock of Perrier! Janus met us at the house and was extremely gracious! This house is exactly what we needed. The pool, decks, views, full kitchen was perfect! Day 2 Tuesday We were pumped to hike Gros Piton. I was still nervous while driving due to the cliffs and narrow roads. My husband loves driving here already! The low speed limits keep everyone safe. We paid 50 USD each to hike Gros Piton. We did not anticipate having to pay and having the assistance of a guide. Charles was great! He has been a hiking guide for 19 years. This seemed like a fantastic job until we actually got to the top. Then I understand why Charles had knee pain. We loved the challenge and highly recommend this adventure! We went to Mango Tree for a sunset dinner. The view and ambiance was incredible. Our food was amazing and pricey. The passion fruit crème Brule was better than the mano cheesecake. Enjoy watching the hummingbirds from the upstairs deck! Day 3 Wednesday We packed a picnic lunch and went to Anse Chastanet. We wanted to snorkel here. We got a weird vibe like we were trespassing. We were not going to rent chairs and were supposed to sit below the high waster mark on beach. There were many scuba boats right off the beach too. This was not for us. We walked down to Anse Mamin Beach. THIS IS THE SPOT! It was private and simply gorgeous. There are trees for shade and no music coming from the bar. You simply enjoy the sounds of the waves and birds. In Soufriere, we stopped at the bus termina/market. We were looking for fresh fish/veg. There was plenty of produce only. We bought fruits and veggies (I cannot remember their names). We cooked the potato like veg with fresh turmeric root. It was delicious. DAY 4 THURSDAY We went to the Sulphur Springs volcano. It was neat to hear about the history of this volcano island. We were not interested in the mud baths because there were other adventures to do. Next we went to the Tet Paul Nature Trail. Jamal was our guide and he was excellent. He was from the nearby village and was super informative about their agricultural practices and plants. We had lunch there and it was amazing! It included rice, lentils, fig salad, dasheen, chicken wings and salad for $5 USD. Then we went to the diamond botanical garden + Waterfall. If you are really into plants (like me) you will love this. We did not opt to bathe in the hot spring tubs. The waterfall is lovely. We spent the afternoon at the villa reading by the pool. Chef Ramsey mad us the best meal we have had on the island! We had the seafood trio. Everything was cooked to perfection and his company was great. This is a must! Tonight was the last full moon of the decade! DAY 5 FRIDAY We went back to Anse Mamin Beach to relax on our last full day. The road there was a breeze this time. I am finally used to these steep, narrow roads! Again, we took a sheet because we were not going to pay to rent chairs. We snorkeled beyond the large, protruding rock from the beach. It still amazes us how deep this water gets so quickly! There were tons of different species of fish along with coral. I highly recommend doing this. You don’t realize you are surrounded by fish until you put your face in the water! We had lunch there and both go fish sandwiches. They were great. We came back to the villa to read by the pool. It kept raining on and off but its great you can simply pull your chair back to keep your book dry. When the sun comes back out, you hop in the pool. We love this place! Hummingbird Restaurant for dinner – we do not recommend this place. The service was poor and the food was the worst we have had on the island. It was expensive and not worth it. The view was nice though. We had an adventure of a lifetime and hope to return to Soufriere + Sargas Our Stay at Janus was 20/10 experience! We were at Sapphire 4 and Sargas for 4 days and were blown away by the hospitality and service. We were in Castries for 3 days prior (Rodney Bay, pigeon Island, Marigot Bay ) but hands down Soufriere is our favorite!! Definitely book the all-day tour with Jamal. You’ll get complete control of what activities to do and time. we skipped Sugar Beach to check out the cocoa plantation! The next day we went to Sugar beach 😊 to snorkel, but our ALL TIME FAV BEACH WAS ANSE CHASTANET (Black Sand!) Be sure to book a private chef. (we got Grilled Seafood) this was the best meal we had on island. Janus’ Taxi drivers are hands down amazing and its better than uber eats. They’re 24/7 and all very friendly and reliable. Follow Joesephine on Instagram @joeseqhine 😊 Love, Joesephine & Nick Andrew & Meghan - Aka America’s Sweetheat- Aka the lazy lovebirdsMost important!! One of the outdoor tables is also a cooler! We left 4 ‘’ICEPACKS’’ in the freezer (water bottles & lays tax) This will save you several trips upstairs for cold drinks when you are in the pool. If you don’t know what to drink to order rum punch will never let you down. Buy more water than you think. If you need anything Janus is extremely helpful and prompt Have an amazing time P.S – you will hear certain things being aphrodisiacs- this may actually be true (especially the spice rum) Journal of Events
Day 1- Janus greet us as we arrived. We were stocked up on groceries from our airport driver! Being the classy bunch we are we drank all day by the pool and made mac & cheese & frozen pizza for dinner. Day 2- essentially a repeat of day 1 Day 3- tour of St. Lucia with Jamal! Do it! The views were great. We got younger at the Volcano/mud baths and ate local fave. We also asked to stop at a bar- we were brought to the bar at Soufriere Beach-3 Piton for 5usd! Day 4- walked into town. Went to Pitit Peak for lunch. You will get approached a lot! Just politely say no! We walked back up and while we were very hot it was much needed exercise (if you’re into that sorta thing) Day 5- Janus arranged a pick-up for us to go to a beautiful beach! Check out Anse Chastanet- Fancy (well kept beaches/ picturesque – nearly private) we ate at the burger restaurant – a bit pricey but good (Anse Mamin) The car ride is buts!! Day 6- we out! |
