OMG!!! We loved our stay at Sargas. Janus us the best host we have ever had at an Airbnb. Tet Paul Nature Trail with our guide Jamal was absolutely gorgeous.
The mud baths at Sulphur Springs was a truly magical experience and The Diamond Falls & Botanical Gardens was a fower lovers dream. Alexander the great was so knowledgeable about all the gorgeous flowers. Then to top it off, we had a lovely delicious dinner at De Belle View with our Amazing driver Ian. Thank you St. Lucia for an amazing first two days in your lovely country Bridget & bill 1st part of honeymoon
WOW! What an amazingly perfect way to kick off a honeymoon. We are beyond glad that we opted to stay here instead of a resort, because Janus’s concierge service is even better than any resort could offer. The villa is perfect for relaxing with unparalleled views and centrally located to whatever your’re trying to accomplish on your trip! Day 1 Arrived around 3:30. Ran to grocery store (by car) for some essentials. Had a 7:30 reservation at Mango tree- fun ambiance and live music but would pass on next time. Food was not very good for the price. Day 2 land and sea tour with Solomon. Solomon was amazing. He is able to set you up with any tour you want in St. Lucia. He picks you up in his car to take /escort you to the mud baths ad waterfall and then brings you to his boat for snorkeling at Amse Chastanet and Sugar Beach. All private and all before the crowds! This is truly the best way to see St. Lucia like a local. Can’t recommend Solomon enough! His mom even delivered us dinner later that night! Day 3 lots of fun laying by the pol and relaxing! The views and villa are too amazing not to spend a day or several just enjoying. Walked into town later for a drink at Whispers and dinner at Pier 28. Both were okay- real spot was the new beach bar area. Tons of locals and great casual food on the beach! Janus even came by to bring us fresh coconut! Day 4 Hiked Gros Piton. It is not easy! Very doable. If in good shape but still rigorous. Good hiking shoes and 6l water! Very worth it. Came back to relax at the villa and had Dillon (Janus's driver) take us t Mango tree, groceries, anywhere! St. Lucia Uber) pick us up for Dasheen at Ladera. Our favorite place to eat by far. More on the expensive side but the food was great and views were way worth it. Highly recommend Thank you Janus for everything Bill & Bridget August 2019 Chicago/Dallas Sargas Villa AKA ‘’The Love Villa’’ is the most magnificent, sleek, sexy, picturesque , fabulous and relaxing AirBnb my husband and I have had the pleasure to experience!!
From the moment Ramiah AKA Dillon picked us up from the airport, we knew we were going to have superb service. (we are so glad we opted for the chauffeur service. Janus greeted us at the gate and provided us with an up close and personal tour of the Villa. Janus has an exceptional way of making you feel at home. My Husband and I fell in love all over again. While celebrating our 4th anniversary in this fabulous space. We enjoyed preparing home cooked meals and looking at the Pitons while dining together. The Plunge pool on the deck was amazing. We utilized the pool, twice while listening to our Bluetooth play jazz. We also loved the waterfall shower with the Skylights. We could have easily spent our entire vacation isolated in the villa. LOL!! We are both Nature lovers so being awaken by roosters every morning was delightful. We also enjoyed seeing all the different birds (Hummingbirds etc.) frogs, cats, goats and lizards while sitting on the deck. Our trips Highlights includes:
It has been a rule of thumb that we would never return to the same vacation spot. We are going to break that rule after discovering Sargas Villa and Janus & Team. We truly appreciated the experience you have created Janus. We will be back 😊 Erica & Sonja P. Palm Beach, FL. My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Sargas Villa for our week-long honeymoon. We loved how close Sargas is to all the ‘’need to do’s’’/ We rented a car from Islander cars and the furthest we had to drive was 15 minutes to the Mud baths. Staying there was definitely a memorable experience and we would recommend it to anyone.
Janus was a great and thoughtful host. He met us at Sargas as soon as we arrived to give us a tour and answer all questions. Then he was kind enough to drive us to a local restaurant (pitit Peak) for our first meal in St. Lucia. The restaurant was lovely and had a spectacular view and free wifi, but for a great local experience we recommend trying Fedos. It is within walking distance to the villa and has great local favorite for a low price. We got the chicken roti & grilled fish and fries. Some of our other adventures this week included a guide mountain hike Gros Piton (very strenuous). Going to the beaches. Anse Chastanet & Anse Mamin. We also visited Hotel Chocolat’s Boucan Restaurant and went scuba diving. Scuba diving was the highlight for us but Anse Mamin is the best beach we have ever been to. It was almost empty each time we went. We are so grateful for Janus for providing utilities & supplies at Sargas Villa. We were able to cook many of our own meals and do laundry. On rainy days we were able to relax around the villa in comfort and luxury. Be careful, do not let mosquitoes into the bedroom. Overall, this was a truly amazing experience and wonderful honeymoon. We cannot think of a better start to our marriage. We hope you enjoy your stay. We give it a 5/5 Ryan & Meiling P.s – Chef Ramsey is an amazing cook and is also Janus’ Father. Highly recommend. Wonderful accommodations and very pleasant host. We used Janus’s drivers during our stay and we were very impressed with their knowledge and suggestions for places to visit and to eat. We especially thought Ramiah aka Dillon did a great job.
We didn’t rent a car and we were so glad we didn’t make that decision. We used Janus’s private drivers during our stay and it was so worth it. It made the trips stress-free and so much more relaxed. We felt the WhatsApp was very user friendly. We went to Sugar Beach and loved the beach, snorkeling and lunch. We had a few issues with the security guard at the beach but the other staff member were pleasant. We also went to Tet Pau trail and loved the view. We did this hike before Sugar Beach so both are possible in one day. On another day we booked a private sailboat with Mystic Man. Jonathan and Jay were our Captain and first mate. They were absolutely wonderful to spend the day with and catered to our wishes. We went where we wanted to go and spent as much time in an area as we wanted to spend. The seas were a bit rough that day so you might want to take something before-hand. One of us did get sick and it was a rough few hours. By the way, there is a grocery store at the dock BY Marigot Bay. We also went to Sulphur Springs and enjoyed Mud baths. It was a last minute decision and we were glad we went for the morning. Girls trip 2019 Dana & Joan Honeymoon Our stay at Sargas was an unreal experience, so much so that when I first looked it, my husband thought it was a scam. 5 minutes after meeting Janus and seeing this extraordinary villa, he believed! Janus and his team ensured that we had the best possible experience. The amenities, the views, the service, the accommodation, the friendly faces, the privacy, the location and the convenience and price- all unparalleled. It would be impossible to find a better place to stay in St. Lucia, even when compared to the most expensive resorts. It’s take a novel to document everything we loved but here are few highlights Highlights: 1. Gros Piton & Pitit Piton: don’t let people scare you away from doing Pitit. It’s a worthy climb that is challenging but totally doable as long as your fit and active- by far the best view in St. Lucia! 360 degrees panorama! AMAZING! 2. Sulphur Spring and Volcano: go extra early and do the Mud baths first to avoid the big tours and have the place to yourself. Light mud goes on first. 3. En Bas saut Trail – beautiful, secluded waterfall, that you’re likely to have all to yourself . It’s the biggest in St. Lucia and you go on a beautiful rainforest hike to get there. May even see the St. Lucia’s National Parrot! 4. Anse Chastanet reef- snorkeling in marine reserve to left of dive shop is amazing. We also dived it. Would highly recommend you consider discovering scuba if you’re not certified for an up close encounter with the marina line 5. Sugar Beach : We got lucky and made it to the public side of the beach without the resort staff trying to get us to pay, buy drinks from the local fruit by the reef. Snorkel is great, but if you have to choose, anse chastanet is better. 6. Piton Falls- great secluded mineral falls, perfect stop after a steep climb. 7. Sargas – make sure you enjoy at least one day at the villa. We loved making our own cocktails and reading by the pool looking out at the best view in the town, and cuddling up to watch Netflix after a long day was the perfect way to end the night Restaurants 1. Chef Ramsey : once in a lifetime experience, incredible flavors and great portions. We enjoyed his company. Unforgettable experience (we had the creole fish (made with fresh tuna) 2. Ben’s Favorite. Home style creole cooking for the best prices in town. Also in walking distance. 3. Valelse: get the dried piton beer roti. You wont be sorry. Also funky money cocktail is awesome. Also walking distance. 4. Pitit Peak: down by beach on left. Try the Saltfish appetizers. Good prices 5. Boucan – great as a special night out. Romantic seating with great view. Complementary courses and use of cocoa in menu make this a real dinning experience. 6. Martha’s Tables: neat local spot near pitons. 7. Mango Tree: good but not worth the price for the Thursday Caribbean night (partyl because entertainment get interrupted during the rain ) Thank you Wishing you every blessing and success! The Heplers Krista B. – Portlan, OR
Can’t say enough about my stay here. Janus and staff (Alton) were incredible and made sure as a solo traveler I felt, safe, secure & thoroughly happy. Here are some of my favorite things on island: Sugar Beach: Absolutely beautiful beach with wonderful snorkeling, esp. in the early morning but beware of the jellyfish. See Blake on the far right by the snorkel area for incredible affordable drinks. Anse Chastanet: Lovely beach w/great snorkeling. I’d suggest heading to Anse Mamin beach down on the right along the path. The burgers are spot on! Sulphur Springs: Just go early, avoid the groups and you’ll enjoy! Tet paul Nature Trail: Easy hike w/ incredible views! Definitely worth it!! Hotel Chocolat: Incredible views from this restaurant & the food was quite good. Now for this incredible villa. The atmosphere here has saved my holiday as my previous hotel villa was quite awful. Can’t thank Janus & his team for making my stay here effortless. I must say as an American from Portland, or I was terrified of the thought of driving on the left. After choosing to push myself, it was a wonderful experience & quite fan I might add. Islander cars was excellent to work with & the delivery & pickup of the vehicle was a serious Bonus!!! So sad to be leaving…enjoy everyone!!! Krista We booked Sargas Villa for latter half of our honeymoon and couldn’t have loved it more! We spent the first portion of our time at Sandals Up in Castries which my husband dubbed ‘’THE BEAUTIFUL PRISON’’ Needless to say we were so excited to be at Sargas to feel a little more freedom and enjoy the beautiful town of Soufriere.
When we were met at the villa by Janus, we were speechless with the beauty of the view. The villa was perfect and exactly what we needed to end our time in St. Lucia with. We are impressed with what Janus has built here and he catered to our every need. We used his car service and it was convenient and all of the drivers were fantastic. We learned something new about the island and its people each time we got a ride. When we were picked up at Sandals By Janus driver (terrible with names ☹) I got a little car sick with the turns so he kindly took the turns super slowly and put me in the front. He showed great kindness and stopped for my husband to get pitons prior to starting the drive. We cannot express just how relaxing and enjoyable our 4 days stay has been. We did the below which is similar to what has already been written but we found this little gem of a book to be so helpful!! We ate:- we did lots of cooking done but… Fedos- inexpensive and a piece of local flavor. Roti was delicious. Hotel Chocolat Boucan- By far our favorite. We ate there twice. The concept is unique and the property is beautiful. TRY IT!! Ladera- we went before Boucan one night for apps and drinks. The view was worth the cost of the drinks. It was gorgeous. Get there around 5 to take advantage of ‘’Happy Hour’’ and watch the sun set. Snacks were yummy! Mango tree- Great recommendation by Janus! Although they lost our reservation, they got us a great table. Food was delicious! We got chef Ramsey our first evening and it was so worth it. He is so kind and whipped us up a huge meal which we even had left overs from so we were able to enjoy twice. Totally do this. Things we did: Took one of Janus’s Tours of Soufriere and Tet Paul Nature Trail. Jamal was our guide and he was the perfect mix of Island laid back and knowledgeable . W e went to the waterfall to rinse off and the whole trip has documented by Jamal. We were the only 2. Highly recommend. Walked down town twice, one to go get coffee at Zaka’s (yum) And go to the botanical gardens. The gardens are walkable. The second time we walked to town we got to see Soufriere’s Carnival and flinty of rum. Glad we got to see it. They did start their partying at 3:00am so that was a surprise HA! Lastly we visited Anse Chastanet Beach one day. Unfortunately it was pouring that day and we got stuck under their umbrella we rented. It was still beautiful and lunch wasn’t bad but although pricey. There was another event at the neighboring beach so we weren’t able to visit that but we hear they have great burgers. Please go have one for us! Overall our stay was magical. We drank coffee on the deck every day and swam at least once enjoying the beautiful view. Janus was extremely responsive and our stay was 20x more special because we chose to stay here We will absolutely be back! Couldn’t recommend it more. Chris & Amy Charlotte, NC We booked Sargas Villa almost a year in advance and eagerly awaited our trip to St. Lucia. This was our long-wait honeymoon (we got married almost 2 years ago) and with a 2 year baby girl at home this was our first time spent alone since she was born. This week was everything we had hoped it would be and more. Sargas villa was every bit of Luxurious as a 5 star resort- with the freedom to explore the local life which we took advantage of. We were able to explore the town at our leisure, visit the locals and learn about St. Lucian Culture and history. We experienced the mineral Baths waterfall as well at the Sulphur Springs and mud baths. We flew through the air above the tree tops at a Zipl Lining adventure (Tree top Canopy, highly recommended) and hike (more like climb) the Gros Piton. We snorkeled, toured around the Island by sea, visited beaches with spectacular views and go so so sooooo sunburned . Each excursions or experience brought a new perspective and brought us closer together as a couple. The Pinnacle of our trip, however was sitting outside on the beautiful deck of Sargas, with Pitons In hands, talking and marveling at the incredible view. The sunsets are gorgeous and the moon is spectacular. One night we sat outside and watched the moon all night until is set over the water, huge and orange and the sun came up. This was the best thing we did all week and Sargas provided the perfect Vintage point to see Soufriere by moonlight and watch the village come to life. As Parents we barely get to have soo much still, uninterrupted time together and it was a magical way to reaffirm our bond and be so appreciated of the life we have/ continues to build together. Janus and his team go absolutely above and beyond to ensure every comfort and desire is met. It is wonderful to see someone’s passion come to life and Janus should be very proud of the experience he has created. We are so grateful to have seen this island from this perspective. We will be back to Sargas and will recommend to everyone we know! Thank you so much to Janus and everyone who helped make this an unforgettable honeymoon! P.s – Boucan was sour favorite Restaurant by far! Chef Ramsey was amazing! We hired him one night and we wished we would have done more dinners with him
Brandon & Chelsea Dallas, TX IN A HURRY? Quick Summary: The Best Things to Do While at Sargas VIlla
What an incredible way to kick your honeymoon! Sargas you are quite the beauty with the most charming location and view in Soufriere. From the moment we arrived Janus was at the villa to greet us. His smile makes you feel right at home. Everything you could need is right here at your fingertips but keep it simple, you're on island time. Our favorite part of every day was sitting in the balcony with Chairmans Reserve Rum (can be bought at local supermarket) and Piton beers and a speaker with some local tunes really sets the mood. We also spent a lot of time near or in the pool just admiring the view in the sun with the surprisingly calming sounds of all the local roosters and pups. Now despite all the relaxing we also took advantage of the amazing activities. Call Janus, ask for the 4-5 hour private tour and go enjoy the stunning Tet Paul Nature Trail, Sulphur Springs, mud baths and botanical gardens. Jamal our guide was the perfect combination of informative, laid back and personal paparazzi. Take full advantage of the Sulphur Springs and dive into the waterfall, incredible experiences. Now if youre ready to get your body moving, go hike that Gros Piton. We were able to complete it in just under 3 hours. It is incredibly challenging but so worth it. Take careful steps one at a time and go. We thought it was symbolically an amazing challenge to overcome together as a newly married couple. We also highly recommend dinner at boucan for awesome food and even better views. Every dish or drink is made with cocoa but isn’t obvious at all. An amazing and relaxing day we had at Anse Chastanet Beach. It is a beautiful cove beach and a short walk away (10 minutes tops) is Anse Mamin. A quiet, bigger and stunning beach. As per in town, we walked into town about once per day and really enjoyed Gen;s mwens on the water for delicious drinks (cheap!) We were often the only ones there. In all of the activities that were mentioned we utilized Janus Chauffeur service. We opted against renting a car, and each driver through Janus was prompt, safe and passionate in sharing information about their beautiful country. Thank you Sargas and Janus for the most wonderful start of our honeymoon and Married life. Oh and thank you Janus for the delivery of the best Mangoes we’ve ever had. We cant wait to come back.
