We booked Sargas Villa for latter half of our honeymoon and couldn’t have loved it more! We spent the first portion of our time at Sandals Up in Castries which my husband dubbed ‘’THE BEAUTIFUL PRISON’’ Needless to say we were so excited to be at Sargas to feel a little more freedom and enjoy the beautiful town of Soufriere.
When we were met at the villa by Janus, we were speechless with the beauty of the view. The villa was perfect and exactly what we needed to end our time in St. Lucia with. We are impressed with what Janus has built here and he catered to our every need. We used his car service and it was convenient and all of the drivers were fantastic. We learned something new about the island and its people each time we got a ride. When we were picked up at Sandals By Janus driver (terrible with names ☹) I got a little car sick with the turns so he kindly took the turns super slowly and put me in the front. He showed great kindness and stopped for my husband to get pitons prior to starting the drive. We cannot express just how relaxing and enjoyable our 4 days stay has been. We did the below which is similar to what has already been written but we found this little gem of a book to be so helpful!! We ate:- we did lots of cooking done but… Fedos- inexpensive and a piece of local flavor. Roti was delicious. Hotel Chocolat Boucan- By far our favorite. We ate there twice. The concept is unique and the property is beautiful. TRY IT!! Ladera- we went before Boucan one night for apps and drinks. The view was worth the cost of the drinks. It was gorgeous. Get there around 5 to take advantage of ‘’Happy Hour’’ and watch the sun set. Snacks were yummy! Mango tree- Great recommendation by Janus! Although they lost our reservation, they got us a great table. Food was delicious! We got chef Ramsey our first evening and it was so worth it. He is so kind and whipped us up a huge meal which we even had left overs from so we were able to enjoy twice. Totally do this. Things we did: Took one of Janus’s Tours of Soufriere and Tet Paul Nature Trail. Jamal was our guide and he was the perfect mix of Island laid back and knowledgeable . W e went to the waterfall to rinse off and the whole trip has documented by Jamal. We were the only 2. Highly recommend. Walked down town twice, one to go get coffee at Zaka’s (yum) And go to the botanical gardens. The gardens are walkable. The second time we walked to town we got to see Soufriere’s Carnival and flinty of rum. Glad we got to see it. They did start their partying at 3:00am so that was a surprise HA! Lastly we visited Anse Chastanet Beach one day. Unfortunately it was pouring that day and we got stuck under their umbrella we rented. It was still beautiful and lunch wasn’t bad but although pricey. There was another event at the neighboring beach so we weren’t able to visit that but we hear they have great burgers. Please go have one for us! Overall our stay was magical. We drank coffee on the deck every day and swam at least once enjoying the beautiful view. Janus was extremely responsive and our stay was 20x more special because we chose to stay here We will absolutely be back! Couldn’t recommend it more. Chris & Amy Charlotte, NC Comments are closed.
