Sargas villa was the perfect place for our honeymoon. The house is spectacular!! Janus was so accommodating  - we arrived on a holiday so the grocery stores were closed. Janus had some food already in the fridge and the next day we had fresh bread delivered to the house…Thanks Janus 
We tried Ruby’s down the street on our first night. We found it so-so. We also at at the Bamboo restaurant twice since it had such great reviews. The first time was awesome the second night not so much. 

We also had Chef Ramsey cook for us one night and the meal was phenomenal! We definitely recommend it. 

As for beaches go, Anse Chastanet had great snorkeling. You can rent two chairs and an umbrella for US$33.00. we found the beach to be quite busy so we tried Anse Mamin, just a one mile walk off Anse Chatanet. We totally recommend this beach. Both days we arrived about 9:30 and virtually had the entire beach to ourselves for hours. The snorkeling is good as well, just not quite as nice. We rented two chairs, an umbrella, waters and two towels for US$55.00. totally worth it!

We arrived here in St. Lucia after having spent 5 nights in the Sandals Regency La Toc near Castries and were very happy when we saw Sargas Villa. Janus welcomed us and showed us all the facilities. The views from every window and terraces are spectacular--- The best views in St. Lucia without a doubt! After all the eating, drinking and nose at Sandals we relished the peace and quiet and normality at Sargas. We decided not to hire a car during our stay and arranged a taxi from Sandals through Janus. His brother drove us and stopped at one of the larger supermarkets on the way so that we could stock up on essentials that we might need for our stay.

We walked down to Soufriere town on a couple of occasions but coming back up proved a challenge for me (an unfit 65-year-old woman!) as there is an unbelievably steep hill just below the villa. We were going to visit the botanical gardens and Mineral Baths but Chris got a nasty bite on his leg which developed into a large rash, so we decided to relax at the villa most days and avail of the gorgeous views, the lovely pool and of course the world cup football matches.

Tip: If you need to change any money the bank insists that you provide 2 forms of identification. 
We didn’t realize this on our first trip to the bank and had to make a second visit to get some Eastern Caribbean Dollar.

We ate at Ruby’s Restaurant, down to the left from Sargas Villa. It’s about a 10mins walk from the Villa. It has a good menu, very nice food, not expensive prices in ECD and excellent welcoming staff.

After eating and drinking too much during our stay at Sandals we were happy to cook for ourselves at the Villa and enjoyed the fresh fruit and vegetables which were brought from the street traders.
