A gorgeous and impressive place which we will remember as a special part of our honeymoon.12/30/2017
On HoneyMoon (wooho!!)
Following a week’s stay at a basic apartment in the Center of Soufriere Town (honeymooners on a budget!) We wanted to spend our final night in St. Lucia Somewhere special. Well, we found it!! Although Sargas was ours for one night only we definitely made the most of it! Sargas had everything we could dream of and much more, meaning we could spend the afternoon lazing by the pool, the evening cooking a delicious meal to enjoy as the sun went down, and the morning sipping coffee on the balcony looking at the town and the beautiful Pitons. Janus not only accepted our short and last minute booking, but picked is up from town, entertained us with a tour of the property and arranged for us to be dropped off in the town again the next day. A gorgeous and impressive place which we will remember as a special part of our honeymoon. Thank you Janus! 😊 Nicola & Joe from Bristol, UK Sargas Villa was just incredible! Janus has done a wonderful job on creating a beautiful, modern home with an out-of-this-world view and in a quiet location (close to some of the islands biggest attractions) The mud baths at the volcano was very cool!
We ate Christmas Eve dinner at Chocolat Boucan. Get there before dark & have a cocktail to enjoy the view. The food was excellent- everything that we got! We had brunch at the restaurant at the Viceroy Sugar Beach & it was delicious! So… So much food so go hungry. It is very pricey but yummy! (U.S $140.00 per person) Beaches: Anse Chastanet- we thought the best snorkeling was here. You can rent chairs here from the scuba/dive shop through the hotel. Anse Mamin- smaller, more secluded beach about 15 minute-walk down from Anse Chastanet. Nice beach, not crowded, not really good snorkeling, best just for swimming & relaxing. Get 2 burgers for lunch here- the burgers were excellent. Can rent chairs here!! Anse Des Piton/Sugar Beach- we were having brunch at the restaurant at the Viceroy, so we were able to park here because of that. Otherwise, I think some places offer a shuttle to here. Beach was beautiful, nestled between the Pitons. The shallow water is rocky, so it is a little uncomfortable going in. The snorkeling is good here but not great. Great round rafts anchored down in the water are a great place to spend an afternoon. You can rent chairs here (not sure is that was because we ate there though) but it will cost (U.S $50.00 per chair) On the right side of the beach I think these are free or much cheaper… there is a little boutique on Sugar Beach with Beautiful swimsuits, cover-ups etc. Thank you Janus for everything! Your attention to details and professionalism are obvious and much appreciated Bryan, Ashley, Brandon & Ben Burke Edmund, Oklahoma, U.S I’m not even sure where to start. The Sargas Villa blew us out of the water. It’s modern yet welcoming feel had our jaws drop the first night we walked in. Janus and his team were more than accommodating.
So knowledgeable of the island, so friendly and tilling to do anything we needed! We really enjoyed the fact that we were actually in the town of Soufriere, rather than being sheltered on a resort down the beach. Almost everything we needed was in walking distance (Groceries, food, botanical gardens) and when it wasn’t, Janus was so helpful in making sure we had a ride to and from wherever we needed to go. Everybody in town were incredibly friendly and very approachable. He made us feel comfortable traveling to a country we had never been to. The views from the villa were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up every morning seeing the Pitons (we did the hike, challenging yet fulfilling), then watching the sunset right from our balcony. All in all, I would rate this vacation and all that came with it a 5/5. I wouldn’t have change anything about it other than our departure date because neither of us want to go home. Thank you so much Janus for everything that you did for us while we were here. I will never forget this vacation and I can’t wait until we can come back!! 😊 Lindsay & Michael Janus is a great owner and host! Our four days stay at Sargas was everything we were looking for. Villa is beautiful and I also utterly loved modern build of the property.
First day here after going to market and doing some grocery shopping we settled in and had a chance to enjoy sundown. Second day we spent enjoying the pool and soaking in the sun. Words cannot describe how breathtaking the view is. Well, no need to wonder just look outside😊 On the third day we called up Janus to get us a driver so that we can hike up Gros Piton. Although it was somewhat of a short notice we made it happen. Steven, our driver was professional and friendly. It took us four hours to do the hike. It was challenging but well worth it. To anyone wondering, I say it is a MUST DO while in Saint Lucia. Last day at Sargas we saved for total relaxation at Sugar Beach. Filled with snorkeling, tanning and adoring the view of pitons. We were extremely delighted with our stay. Saint Lucia is an island like no other. Justin and Anastasia |
