I’m not sure where to begin with the incredible experience we had! 

Janus and his team were incredible, attentive and FLEXIBLE with my husband and I. we visited during the “rainy season”, so we had to rearrange and make last minute plans based on the weather. 

First we visited sugar beach. There we had drinks and tapas at reasonable prices. Then Jamal, the in-town driver took us to a variety of restaurants as well as the Castries street party. THIS IS A MUST! It mad our trip!

At the street party is a collection of different ages, nationalities, locals and tourist all having a great time. the following day we went to The Sulphur Springs & Waterfall. ALSO A MUST! 

We had a phenomenal stay that was topped off with CHEF RAMSEY. The abundance of talent this man has in the kitchen is unmatched. 

To say we had a great time is an understatement. The balance of serenity and discover we encountered through Sargas Villa and Janus’ team is a memory forever cherished. 
We will be back.

Wow- amazing time here at the villa in St. Lucia. Highlights were snorkelling the amazing beaches + Dinner at Dasheene. The villa was beyond amazing + exceeded our expectations. We will definitely miss waking up to the beautiful piton views every day.

If you don’t want to spend the money snorkeling, then take boat taxis to Sugar Beach + Anse Chastanet  Beach. Just rent snorkeling gear (or buy your own). Both beaches were beautiful + had great snorkelling. Sugar beach is a white sand beach - Must see it!

Janus was a great host. we could not of had asked for a better stay. we have to come back + stay here again.

Wow! What a perfect way to “Start” our marriage! St Lucia is beautiful, and we couldn’t have stayed in a better Villa than Sargas. We were here during the “off season” so it was very quiet and quite a few places ere actually closed but we still made the best of it. 

Upon arrival we sued one of Janus’ drivers to pick us up from the airport, bring us here, as well as stop for food + a little tour along the way. The next day we had a car rental dropped off at the house for us. We used this almost daily. Every morning + evening we spent on one of the decks or in the pool, gazing over Soufriere. A dip in the pool was always necessary after a long day in the sun. we cooked a lot of meals here. We also had a hard cooler that came with the rental car that was a lifesaver! We were able to bring some hearty snacks, fruits, beers, and waters wherever we went. They do sell cheap soft cooler bags at the grocery store that I’d recommend getting. Even the Netflix came in handy at the end of a long day – when we needed some A/C time. 

Attractions/Food: 

• Botanical Gardens + Diamond Waterfall – We walked here from the Villa – its right past Ruby’s  - it was cheap, pretty, and made for some nice walking, but a little underwhelming. We didn’t utilize a guide. 
• Morne Chouval Horseback Riding + Sulphur Springs  -  $120.00/pp for a private 2 hr. trek up the volcano as well as a guided tour of the springs. A little spendy, but a fun experience. 
• Feel Good Water Taxi – we bartered down to $110 /pp. it was cloudy + rainy but still a beautiful trip – they took us to marigot bay where we stopped for shopping + drinks, then to two snorkeling spots: Anse Cochon(best!) and Anse Chastanet (OK). 
• Pigeon Island + Gros Islet – We drove 1.5 hours here and it was stressful. The roads are rough + windy and there are many more people + tourists around. We had planned to eat at Anse La Raye’s Fish Fry – but were concerned about the dark drive home. Pigeon Island was interesting + beautiful, but the rest of the trip/our stops made us want to get back to + stay in Soufriere. 

Beaches

• Sugar Beach – beautiful…But very much controlled by the resort. We went twice – we paid $25/pp to park our care at the resort, use their shuttle, and then use the $50.00 at their restaurants. food is expensive and so-so…we brought our cooler w/beer + snacks + sat on our towels and were content. 
• Anse Chastanet  + Anse Mamin – Pretty + more “free”. We still brought our cooler w/drinks + food, but invested in 2 lounge chairs for $30.00 total. Easy to drive to and park. Anse Chastanet is the main beach that has a free snorkeling section; Anse Mamin is a 5 minute walk down and is similar but smaller + quieter. 

Food: 

• Private Chef Ramsey – Do it! So delicious ( and Large portions!), he is such a nice, pleasant guy. We had mahi-mahi w/banana BBQ atop veggies from the chefs garden. It was so nice to sit outside + enjoy the sunset while he took care of dinner for us. 
• Ruby’s – NO Pizza on menu + they were out of a lot of things (burgers) but it’s an easy walk. It was very American food (wings,ribs, etc). It tasted fine + service was nice, but we opted not to go back as we wanted more Caribbean – style food. 
• La Petit Peak – right off shore in town. We stopped on our first day for an app + beers + we enjoyed it – we went back again for a delicious + cheap lunch. Their roti is amazing. 6 drinks, 1pp, 2 dishes  = $45. 
• Hotel Chcocolat – Boucan – Highlight! We did the $88.00/pp chocolate tour where we planted a cocoa tree. Made a chocolate bar + then ate + drank at their amazing restaurant. Definitely recommend. 
• Martha’s Tables – stopped on way to sugar beach – very, very good! Full Caribbean meals. Limited hours + small menu, but would recommend. 
• Unnamed Caribbean stand on beach outside pigeon island  - possibly the best Caribbean we ate – so fresh. I had conche for the first time.
