FAHRENKRUH HONEYMOONERS
Day 1 We flew into St. Lucia arriving at 4:00pm. Janus had a driver (his brother! 😊) waiting for us with our names and confirmation code to confirm he was the driver. This was a very smooth process, so I recommend setting up transportation with Janus beforehand. Although there are many taxi drivers eager for business, so even if you don’t you’ll find a ride, but I can’t say for what price. It was $60 USD through Janus for the 1-hour drive to Sargas. It’s a very reasonable price confidently the driver answers all your questions, basically gives a little tour on the way and stops at the market if you ask. Our driver came in with us to help us out even! Super nice and helpful! Our first night here we were super tired from traveling & decided to stay in & get comfortable. Like everyone stated the house is better than expected so we took our time soaking in it. Day 2- 03/15/18 Today we got an early start & decided to just start walking! We found the Botanical Gardens which was pretty. By the time we left it was getting heavy with tourists. We got there before they opened so we went up to the road just a little to the “Marie's” to get a morning cocktail (Really Good). They opened at 9am & the gardens at 10am. Then we went to Torielle Falls which was fun to go under the waterfall, for $3 USD. We made our way after to Fedo’s for lunch. Very reasonable prices! We thought the food was ok at Fedo’s. I got a burger and fries my husband got a fish meal and 2 piton beers for $USD18. Went back to the Villa, enjoyed the pool. Later for dinner we went to Ruby’s which is a short walk. We REALLY enjoyed this meal! We ordered the “Catch of the Day” (Mahi-Mahi)- so good and tried some rum punch! total cost was $66USD. The environment was cool (dark settings) & very friendly staff. DAY 3 03/16/18 We woke up & made a big breakfast, we planned to hike Gros Piton today! Janus had a driver (Steven) pick us up at 7am. We got to the piton and started climbing a little after 8am. Go as early as you can!! I couldn’t imagine going mid-day with the heat. The cooler, the better. A lot of the trail is shaded but you would be drenched in sweat, bring a small towel (we used one from the kitchen) to wipe the sweat. The way up can be tough in some areas, honestly, we struggled more on the way down hah! Heavy breathing on the way up, shaky legs on the way down. Very good experience!! On our way back, we stopped at the market again for some more bananas 😊 and sun bathing by the pool. Later we walked to Ponty Pizza (Very Good) You order pizza from the cook and drinks at the bar and pay each person accordingly just an FYI. Very good prices for tasty food ($4 USD for 2 pitons, $20 for 1 small and one medium pizza). We continued and went for another drink at “Whispers” next door. Very cool experiences at both places if you want an authentic St. Lucia feel. Very loud music at any bar you pass! We continued walking and were approached by “Charlie” giving his “Shpeal” about his tour. We decided to bite this time actually! We gave his $60 USD deposit for our ticket for our tour on Monday I guess. We headed back home after that we’re trying to budget the best way we can…... so we discontinued our hunt for some rum punch. Day 4 3/17/18 Today we booked a massage at Anse Chastenet & planned to spend a day at their beach. Massage was very expensive ($275 USD) but we don’t do it a lot, so we thought why not?! Then we headed to the beach for the rest of the day. The beach was very nice relaxing and peaceful! We stayed to the right side when looking out the ocean. We walked over to the sister beach, “Anse Mamin” which was also nice, a little less busy but we didn’t think the main beach was too busy either. We ended up taking a water taxi back to Soufriere. They asked $40 USD for the both of us …. My husband bargained and got them down to $20 USD 😊. Then we started walking too town again. We stopped at side road BBQ (there are lots of them around) and purchased food. They filled up our plates! $7 USD for the chicken plate, $10 USD for the seafood plate. Very good got a couple pitons from a bar and made our way back home! 😊 Day 5 3/18/19 Stayed at the Villa to relax and enjoying last day at this pool. Day 6 3/19/18 Today is our last morning at SARGAS before we transfer to the Serena villa that Janus has. We’re getting packed and ready for the day. Today we meet Charlie down town for our day out on the boat. Again, we’re hoping it’s what he says it is (on a boat, Sulphur Springs Snorkeling, Batcave, Sugar Beach, Sandals Resort, 30min Jet Ski, and lunch at his Aunts with Creole food, water, pitons, rum punch, included for the day). We bit at $250 USD for the two of us together. We read reviews & apparently, he’ll drop to $100 USD/person. If it’s everything he said…. $250 is a great deal! - this place is everything everyone says! We have two more days at Serena before we sadly head home. Thanks Janus for our comfortable stay! I already have friends back home asking for the info of your place, ill happily and confidently refer them😊 Zack & Jannie Janus is by far the best host we’ve ever had, the house is beautiful with a breathtaking view.3/14/2018
Though we’ve only been here for 4 days, it’s been a wonderful experience. The house is beautiful with a breathtaking view. Janus is by far the best host we’ve ever had, extremely helpful and super welcoming. We’ve been enjoying the pool and it’s been relaxing having our own space. We went to Sugar Beach and it was very nice, it is a good place to relax and lunch there was light and fresh. Our first night, a private chef came upon request to cook us dinner, it was great not to have left the Villa especially being so tired on the first night. The chef was sweet and cooked us a scrumptious meal that filled us up. All in all, Villa Sargas was the perfect place to stay and thank you to Janus for everything. Ashley + Oliver New York While we spent one night here, we wish we could have stayed more! Janus is amazing and this house is breathtaking!
We are here on our honeymoon and wanted to see all of the island. From the airport we drove up the west coast all the way to Rodney Bay where we visited “Secret Beach” pigeon island, and the marina. From there we traveled to canaries, stopping at Anse Cochon along the way. While there, we snorkeled and lounged on the beach. It was $10 USD per person to get in but you could use that money toward lunch (which was very tasty) while there. We stayed two nights in canaries where we visited a private beach which was well worth the hike to get a cove all to yourself the entire day and we watched the sunset over the ocean after taking a stroll through the small town – that may have been my favorite memory so far. The past two nights have been spent here in Soufriere. So far we have explored the volcano, walked through Tete Paul, took a mud bath and spent time snorkeling and sunbathing Anse Chastanet. We’re planning to check out sugar beach today and have plenty of exploring left to do. Of all the places we’ve stayed while here, this is by far the nicest and most comfortable. We really do hope to come back and spend more time here in the future! The Haghursts Our two days were amazing! It was hard getting out of the house because the view is too beautiful!3/10/2018

We went to Marigot Bay which was beautiful and did the Tet Paul trail which gives you an amazing view of the pitons! The restaurant at Boucan Resort was amazing, highly recommend. Janus was an amazing host and is always available for any questions or requests that you may have. We had a blast and must come back soon!! Val and JP NB, Canada Richard + Jenna
10 Year Anniversary Canadian Our week has been amazing, this house is beyond beautiful. The view is like nothing we have seen before. We spent most of our time relaxing at the villa by the pool. Our favorite getaways:
We highly recommend going to Orlando’s for dinner there are two options, both 5 course meals. Best food we had our entire trip. Also had live music that was great. Janus was an amazing host he responded back right away and was always able to set up a driver for us. All his staff here are great. We could not have asked a better place to celebrate our Ten-Year Anniversary. We will never forget this place and the spectacular view. Thanks Janus! Richard+ Jenna |
