We booked Sargas Villa for latter half of our honeymoon and couldn’t have loved it more! We spent the first portion of our time at Sandals Up in Castries which my husband dubbed ‘’THE BEAUTIFUL PRISON’’ Needless to say we were so excited to be at Sargas to feel a little more freedom and enjoy the beautiful town of Soufriere.
When we were met at the villa by Janus, we were speechless with the beauty of the view. The villa was perfect and exactly what we needed to end our time in St. Lucia with. We are impressed with what Janus has built here and he catered to our every need. We used his car service and it was convenient and all of the drivers were fantastic. We learned something new about the island and its people each time we got a ride. When we were picked up at Sandals By Janus driver (terrible with names ☹) I got a little car sick with the turns so he kindly took the turns super slowly and put me in the front. He showed great kindness and stopped for my husband to get pitons prior to starting the drive. We cannot express just how relaxing and enjoyable our 4 days stay has been. We did the below which is similar to what has already been written but we found this little gem of a book to be so helpful!! We ate:- we did lots of cooking done but… Fedos- inexpensive and a piece of local flavor. Roti was delicious. Hotel Chocolat Boucan- By far our favorite. We ate there twice. The concept is unique and the property is beautiful. TRY IT!! Ladera- we went before Boucan one night for apps and drinks. The view was worth the cost of the drinks. It was gorgeous. Get there around 5 to take advantage of ‘’Happy Hour’’ and watch the sun set. Snacks were yummy! Mango tree- Great recommendation by Janus! Although they lost our reservation, they got us a great table. Food was delicious! We got chef Ramsey our first evening and it was so worth it. He is so kind and whipped us up a huge meal which we even had left overs from so we were able to enjoy twice. Totally do this. Things we did: Took one of Janus’s Tours of Soufriere and Tet Paul Nature Trail. Jamal was our guide and he was the perfect mix of Island laid back and knowledgeable . W e went to the waterfall to rinse off and the whole trip has documented by Jamal. We were the only 2. Highly recommend. Walked down town twice, one to go get coffee at Zaka’s (yum) And go to the botanical gardens. The gardens are walkable. The second time we walked to town we got to see Soufriere’s Carnival and flinty of rum. Glad we got to see it. They did start their partying at 3:00am so that was a surprise HA! Lastly we visited Anse Chastanet Beach one day. Unfortunately it was pouring that day and we got stuck under their umbrella we rented. It was still beautiful and lunch wasn’t bad but although pricey. There was another event at the neighboring beach so we weren’t able to visit that but we hear they have great burgers. Please go have one for us! Overall our stay was magical. We drank coffee on the deck every day and swam at least once enjoying the beautiful view. Janus was extremely responsive and our stay was 20x more special because we chose to stay here We will absolutely be back! Couldn’t recommend it more. Chris & Amy Charlotte, NC We booked Sargas Villa almost a year in advance and eagerly awaited our trip to St. Lucia. This was our long-wait honeymoon (we got married almost 2 years ago) and with a 2 year baby girl at home this was our first time spent alone since she was born. This week was everything we had hoped it would be and more. Sargas villa was every bit of Luxurious as a 5 star resort- with the freedom to explore the local life which we took advantage of. We were able to explore the town at our leisure, visit the locals and learn about St. Lucian Culture and history. We experienced the mineral Baths waterfall as well at the Sulphur Springs and mud baths. We flew through the air above the tree tops at a Zipl Lining adventure (Tree top Canopy, highly recommended) and hike (more like climb) the Gros Piton. We snorkeled, toured around the Island by sea, visited beaches with spectacular views and go so so sooooo sunburned . Each excursions or experience brought a new perspective and brought us closer together as a couple. The Pinnacle of our trip, however was sitting outside on the beautiful deck of Sargas, with Pitons In hands, talking and marveling at the incredible view. The sunsets are gorgeous and the moon is spectacular. One night we sat outside and watched the moon all night until is set over the water, huge and orange and the sun came up. This was the best thing we did all week and Sargas provided the perfect Vintage point to see Soufriere by moonlight and watch the village come to life. As Parents we barely get to have soo much still, uninterrupted time together and it was a magical way to reaffirm our bond and be so appreciated of the life we have/ continues to build together. Janus and his team go absolutely above and beyond to ensure every comfort and desire is met. It is wonderful to see someone’s passion come to life and Janus should be very proud of the experience he has created. We are so grateful to have seen this island from this perspective. We will be back to Sargas and will recommend to everyone we know! Thank you so much to Janus and everyone who helped make this an unforgettable honeymoon! P.s – Boucan was sour favorite Restaurant by far! Chef Ramsey was amazing! We hired him one night and we wished we would have done more dinners with him
Brandon & Chelsea Dallas, TX IN A HURRY? Quick Summary: The Best Things to Do While at Sargas VIlla
What an incredible way to kick your honeymoon! Sargas you are quite the beauty with the most charming location and view in Soufriere. From the moment we arrived Janus was at the villa to greet us. His smile makes you feel right at home. Everything you could need is right here at your fingertips but keep it simple, you're on island time. Our favorite part of every day was sitting in the balcony with Chairmans Reserve Rum (can be bought at local supermarket) and Piton beers and a speaker with some local tunes really sets the mood. We also spent a lot of time near or in the pool just admiring the view in the sun with the surprisingly calming sounds of all the local roosters and pups. Now despite all the relaxing we also took advantage of the amazing activities. Call Janus, ask for the 4-5 hour private tour and go enjoy the stunning Tet Paul Nature Trail, Sulphur Springs, mud baths and botanical gardens. Jamal our guide was the perfect combination of informative, laid back and personal paparazzi. Take full advantage of the Sulphur Springs and dive into the waterfall, incredible experiences. Now if youre ready to get your body moving, go hike that Gros Piton. We were able to complete it in just under 3 hours. It is incredibly challenging but so worth it. Take careful steps one at a time and go. We thought it was symbolically an amazing challenge to overcome together as a newly married couple. We also highly recommend dinner at boucan for awesome food and even better views. Every dish or drink is made with cocoa but isn’t obvious at all. An amazing and relaxing day we had at Anse Chastanet Beach. It is a beautiful cove beach and a short walk away (10 minutes tops) is Anse Mamin. A quiet, bigger and stunning beach. As per in town, we walked into town about once per day and really enjoyed Gen;s mwens on the water for delicious drinks (cheap!) We were often the only ones there. In all of the activities that were mentioned we utilized Janus Chauffeur service. We opted against renting a car, and each driver through Janus was prompt, safe and passionate in sharing information about their beautiful country. Thank you Sargas and Janus for the most wonderful start of our honeymoon and Married life. Oh and thank you Janus for the delivery of the best Mangoes we’ve ever had. We cant wait to come back.
