We took day one for some much needed rest and recovery after 9 hard months of wedding planning10/25/2021
What a beautiful place! The view was gorgeous, the pool was refreshing, the food was incredible and the people are unbelievably nice!
Since this was our honeymoon, we decided not to pack so much as we could into our days, but believe me when I say, if you wanted to you absolutely could. There is so much to do around this fantastic coastal city, that we have already decided that a second time around is necessary. With that being said, we took day one for some much needed rest and recovery after 9 hard months of wedding planning. We stopped at massy supermarket the night before and stocked up on supplies so we could utilize the amazing kitchen to cook our own meals. We spent most of day one basking in the view separated by intermittent dips in the pool. In the evening we finally decided to step out of our villa and made a sunset dinner reservation at Hotel Chocolat (rabot restaurant). The food was AMAZING and the view was even better. The entire restaurant is open air and displays a picturesque view of the Pitit Piton. Night/day 2, was comprised of a bit more, compared to our previous day of relaxation. We were awaked by one of Janus’ assistants at the door to deliver a fresh loaf of warm bread. I then made breakfast and coffee for my beautiful wife and we ate on the upstairs balcony overlooking the city. After we had finished, she and I had a quick workout on the pool deck and swam an d finalized out agenda for the day. First we stopped that the bank to exchange some of our USD to ECD. Then we travelled south of Mineral falls. Mineral falls consist of a short hike where you are met by two mineral pools and a relaxing hot spring. This is a must see in your book. My wife and I then drove over to Sulphur Springs. After a quick tour we went down to the highly acclaimed mud that’s. It felt wonderful! Finally, on our was home, we stopped at fedos and grabbed some delicious, dare I say best food of the trip, to take back to saba villa. We finished our day with a movie and a couple card games, before heading to bed for an early rise. Day 3, our last day before we head north for Castries, was short but sweet. We got up early, had a quick breakfast, then walked down to the bus terminal market. Those selling were extremely nice and welcoming! Lastly, we walked back to the villa and took a quick dip before pack-up. Thank you to Janus and company for your incredible hospitality. Although we didn’t utilize your services, a ton, you were incredibly helpful when we did ask for recommendations. We will surely be back with friends Matthias & Amanda |
