Marco & Ally - San Francisco, CA
Sargas was the perfect place to start our honeymoon! We stayed 7 nights and rented a car through islander cars. Arriving at the airport getting our care was quick and easy. Plus they will pick it up from us in Castries when we move on to the second part of our trip. Sargas is perfectly located close to most activities & adventure on the island. Janus was the best Airbnb Host! He greeted us upon arrival to Soufriere, was quick to answer questions during our stay, sent local bread a couple morning. Activities Hiked Gros Piton – As everyone recommends, go early to avoid the heat. $50.00 USD Per person, but if you’re in shape, worth it for the incredible views. Our guide even took us to both side at the top for views of Soufriere. Took us around 3hrs; 4 is normal. Sugar Beach - $50.00 US per person but can be used as a voucher for food/drink on the beach. The Tapas restaurant was amazing. There were some locals off to the side of the beach making pina coladas & other drinks. Really delicious & cheaper than drinks at the bar. The service & shuttle down to the beach was generous. The beach offers great views of the pitons, but is man made w/ white sand. Anse Chastanet/Anse Mamin – Great snorkeling at Anse Chastanet, we are glad we followed other travelers advice & walked to Anse Mamin – the beach was quiet, beautiful, the burgers at the restaurant are amazing. Our favorite beach so we went twice. New Jerusalem Mineral Bather: $3 USD PP, was refreshing & quiet, hardly any tourist. Was worth seeing but didn’t stay long. We opted to do this instead of the mud bath because we didn’t want to bathe in mud. Torialle Falls: $3 USD PP. beautiful, right off the road. Makes for great photos. Bateau Mygo Charter Soul: this was our big honeymoon blow out, we chartered a catamaran for the day to snorkel & watch the sunset. The charter included a captain, first mate, lunch at Marigot Bay (which was some of the best fish iv’e ever eaten), unlimited drinks & 2 appetizers. Worth it to see a customized, leisurely tour of the island. Fond Doux Plantation - $25 pp USD for 1.5 hr. tour w/snacks. We didn’t stay for lunch, but during the tour we tasted their chocolate (amazing!) the guide picked fresh fruit for us to try. Highly recommend this tour. Food Jade Mountain Club: HIGHLY RECOMMEND, if it fits in your budtet. $95 USD pp for 4 course meal, menu changes daily. Food was phenomeneal and service was outstanding. They let you get to the resort early to watch the sunset from the rooftop w/a cocktail. Must make a reservation (which took each of us calling for a week before. They were hard to get a hold of, but worth it). Pier 28: loved it, went here twice. The chicken dishes are outstanding! Fedos: Great fro lunch, a lot of locals. Favorite. Beware chicken roti has bones. Beach Anse Mamin: amazing, Burgers Sugar Bech: The Tapas are delicious Chateau Mygo (Marigot Bay): the most tender flavorful mahi mahi I’ve had. Chef Ramsey: Having Chef Ramsey cook for us the second night was a treat! His food was incredible & he is so friendly. His dish of the Seafood Trio w/creamy mushroom sauce, vegies from his garden. Orlando’s : Amazing local food for a night out . Orlando goes above and beyond to welcome you & you can feel his passion for cooking. Thanks again for a wonderful stay! Comments are closed.
