Dear Janus & Future Guests,
Everyone in this journal talked about the good and no one mentions the bad…. because there is no bad! Janus & his team are amazing and the villa provides everything that comes to mind when you think of relaxation and luxury. We spent the majority of our time soaking in the breath taking views from the pool patio while enjoying some nice piton beer. Chef Ramsey was a must do and the pork is out of this world. Jamal and Alton are the best! The Soufriere tour was so much fun and gives you a great variety experiences and local food. We went to The Hummingbird for dinner and drinks. It was amazing. TheTreetop Ziplining tour was a must do. It is a long ride but you get to take in the beautiful views on the way. Thank you so much!! We will definitely be back!! Cody & Michelle Atlantic Beach, Florida. ASHMEER Thank you Janus, Jermal, Chef Ramsey & all of the helpful beautiful people of St. Lucia. Sept. 24- Hey, This is Sean, if you’re reading this, I want you to know that I am such a home body, we have constantly been flooded & amazed at everything. We called Janus and he basically guided us by car & food on a tour of Soufriere (not sure how to spell it) When we walked into the building, the view literally took our breath away. We had planned to climb the Gros Piton the first day but after getting into the pool, we melted into Saba and couldn’t help but relax. Janus called for us (Jermal) who too us to Pitit Peak (a restaurant in Soufriere Bay) and to get Ice Cream. We came back and Chef Ramsey arrived. He booked an amazing dish and served us right at the table. He bought all fresh ingredients and made everything from Scratch. A genuinely good cook and nice guy. After dinner we just watched the sun set over Pitit Piton and the Beautiful Caribbean Sea. Sept. 25- We drove to Marigot Bay for an all-day Catamaran Cruise which took us Zipling in Morne Coubaril Estate, Sulphur Spring & Diamond Falls. We also went snorkeling on the way. I drove and let me tell you ‘’ Listen to Janus’’. He will organize a driver to take you wherever you want to go. Coming back in town, Jermal organized a private sunset boat tour at the coast. We saw the bat caves, sugar beach & Anse Chastanet Beach. We saw the sunset and the most stars that I have ever seen in my life. We got Ice-cream again, went to the grocery store and I cooked my girlfriend dinner. We drunk rum & listened to music all night. Sept. 26- We finally slept in. We took time & ate breakfast. We then embarked on a hike to the Gro Piton. It was super fun & super freaking tiring. The views we saw from the mountains were absolutely amazing. We then drove down to Sugar Beach & Kayaked between the Pitons. It felt like I was living in a postcard. Please snorkel at Sugar Beach, beautiful fish, beautiful Coral. We had dinner at Jade Mountain under the stars. We got engaged there under the stars 9/26/2019 – I LOVE YOU ASHMEER We then embarked on a hike to the Gro Piton. It was super fun & super freaking tiring. Sept 27 – im sitting poolside writing to you. Good Luck Friend Disclaimer – I am a doctor, forgive my hand writing. ASHMEER Bea & Kira We have too many good things to say about our stay at Saba Villa! The professionalism and organization from the moment we were picked up from the airport, to the moment we left, was exceptional. And every person we have met during our stay has been friendly and welcoming. Our first full day was jam packed with activities led by @realstluciatours. This included a visit to Tet paul Nature Trail, The Sulphur Springs and Toraille Waterfall! We also had the pleasure of meeting the happiest chef in the world who cooked us the most amazing fish platter. We also wanted to hike Petit Piton after hearing so many things about it, and so the amazing Janus organized an early morning hike (That nearly killed us) but the views were phenomenal! It is hard to put into words how special this villa is and how amazing our stay was, but we would like to especially thank Janus for being THE most incredible host. We hopt to return very soon.
Thank you ! Bea & Kira Janus & Team, Thank you for the wonderful accommodation with amazing views and always friendly service Pick-up from the airport was very smooth and was great to be able to pop into the supermarket for the essentials on the way. Straight into the pool on arrival to help acclimatized to the leak. Started to arrange all the activities we wanted to do whilst here. walked into Soufriere to see the town and the little beach. The walked to the botanical Gardens ( not really that far but it was very warm and sweaty affair) Saw our first Hummingbird in the wild and the largest caterpillar we’ve ever encountered. ATV tour around and about Mount Gimme. Go real fun and saved on the cost by sharing a bike, doing lay of the driving all so we could have take pictures. Arranging the pick-up and collection was really easy and gave us enough time to jump under the nearby Torille waterfall before we came back. Took a day off to just enjoy the villa and pool and relax. Walk up to the treetop Restaurant for dinner (another on time very friendly taxi trip) the treetop restaurant only currently offer a tasting menu but it is an amazingly beautiful place with great views. Boat trip from Hummingbird to Castries to see the capital with feel good tours. The gave us info, stopped off for lunch at Marigot Bay and we did some snorkeling along the way. a large amount of rain which caused a power outage, so decided to stay put and enjoy the sounds and sights of the rain passing over. Booked a dinner at Dasheene restaurant at the Ladera Resort. Another good taxi trip and meal and of course more great views too! Zip Line at Mourne Coubaril estate. We really enjoyed flying through the trees even though it was still pouring with rain. They did a nice buffet lunch there too! quick Whatsapp last night to get a car to go to the Sulphur Springs (v. smelly) to enjoy the mud and decided to walk over to the Hotel chocolat as we had booked the tree and bar experience (v. steep climb) had cocktails, grafted our own cocoa plants and made our own chocolate bars (v. hard work) pick-up was arranged when we were dropped off and was timed perfectly. Time to go home. Flight is not until 9:00pm so Janus has kindly aggreed to hold onto our bags at the Sapphire Apt. until we go to the airport so we could spend the day at Sugar Beach via day passes. Everyone has been so friendly and accommodating that we’ve always got where we wanted to go. Plus love the aircon in the bedroom! K+S Hello!
We began our trip at Sapphire 3 property (the blue coloured one you can see out the kitchen window) We soon decided that we needed a pool and Janus moved us to the Beautiful Saba Villa. What a beautiful place!! Day 1 Tet Paul Nature Trail- Must do!! About a 20 minutes hike to the top. $10USD per person including a guide- Take your time and enjoy the views along the way. After the guided tour we went back to the top on our own and had a Piton Beer to take in the gorgeous view. There is also a small restaurant by the parking lot. We then had one on Janus Drivers take us to the Sulphur Springs and mud baths. Really cool!! Jamal Picked us up and brought us back to the villa. He picked us up an hour later and dropped us off at Valelse for dinner. We had Mahi Mahi- okay and red snapper- good flavor but mind the bones. Day 2 Hang out at the villa relaxing in the morning, then Jamal took us to Diamond Falls & Botanical Gardens- they were beautiful but not everything blooming this time of year. Best to go early in the day- it was really hot when we went. Enjoyed the pool until dinner time when we scheduled Chef Ramsey to make a private dinner for us! He rocked the creole shrimp! So delicious we tried to have him come again the next night but he was already booked. Day 3 Called Janus (by the way anything you want to do, he can make it happen ) to arrange a driver to take us up to Castries and Hike Pigeon Island. The roads are very winding traveling up and back. Ian was a great guide- $140USD for the tour for the 2 of us . Chillaxed when we got back, then called janus. We wanted Fedo’s but they were closed (on the island, Sunday is church and family day, so many places are closed) We asked for curry chicken and an appetizer and it magically showed up at our door less than an hour later. Turns out Sunday was a good day to go up to Castries. It’s much more commercial up there and there are lots of traffic during the week. We really enjoyed our visit here! Such an unbelievable day. It’s hard to leave Thank you Janus & Team. We’ll be back Carol & John Minneapolis, MN Dear Janus & Guest Aug. 23rd, 2019
This is the best place to stay at on the whole island. You are around all the best attractions and get to see a beautiful view every morning. 1. Dasheene restaurant & Bay located at Ladera resort, has the most amazing view. Must go & food is awesome. 2. Diamond falls & Botanical Gardens 3. Sugar Beach- so beautiful, relaxing and clear water. Must get ride down from front entrance and back up because it is a long walk. 4. Sulphur Springs 5. Eat at Fedos- cheap and authentic 6. anse-chastanet-st-lucia.htmlAnse Chastanet beach bar- you can see a beautiful sunset but food is not good and way more priced 7. Marigot Bay- its about 1 hour away but lots of activities and wonderful restaurants. Go at Chateau Mygo restaurant and get the deep fried shrimp. XOXO Jeff Atlanta, GA Dear Janus & Team
We had the best time in lovely St. Lucia. Thanks to you. The villa is just marvelous, it’s more than we hoped for, with it’s gorgeous view of Soufriere and the Pitons. It was the very best place to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We had a blast during the Soufriere tour, enjoying the Tet Paul Trail and mud baths. Jamal took the best pics. Let’s not forget about scrumptious finger licking food Chef Ramsey cooked for us. Its probably part of our top 3 culinary experiences ever!! Thanks for the warm welcome, the great accommodation and the peace and quiet we’ve been able to enjoy here Pamela & Sebastien Paris, France (land from the neighboring island, Guadeloupe. If you are reading this you will see how great a host Janus is. His whole team does an outstanding job and Janus has his finger on the pulse of everything that goes on. Janus, thank you so much for an outstanding vacation. All of your people were a pleasure to deal with. Jamal was like a concierge arranging everything we could think of and let me tell you he will enjoy a break because of how many times we texted him with questions. He’s too nice of a guy to say if but I’m sure we drove him crazy. The snorkeling was amazing everywhere. Feel good water taxi and tours took us. There were plenty of fish and interesting rock formations (not like other islands, where to pay to go to see fish but more are to be found, Bahama’s, you hear that) Amazing tour and Captain Daniel and first mate Levi, were very accommodating. When we told Captain Daniel we already snorkeled sugar beach he said ‘’No Problem’’ and moved the speed boat to a near location. The day with Jamal was fantastic. He does a fantastic job and knows how to take the best souvenir pictures. He knows where to get the best deals of soaps, rum and food. Our first night, Jamal took us to Valelse, a place that had just opened four months ago. We had the best meal and service. The waitress was really sweet and enjoyed the curry chicken, oxtail and pork loin very much that 2 days later we overdues 5 orders of curry chicken to take back to the villa. All of Jamal’s food recommendations were great. The ones we liked the most were: Sugar Beach- Tapas were great Boucan- for dinner Ladera- for drinks De Belle Vue- for lunch Valelse As mentioned before and last but not least a traditional home cooked finner with Chef Ramsey- He was great!! All in all we loved Villa. The view is to die for. Many friends were asking where we were. Family in Europe were amazed at the beauty. Everything is clean ad we had everything we needed. Sometimes even some special delivery to surprise us at the door. We look forward to many more vacations here. We get to relax and kick back and enjoy ‘’The Island Time’’ Thank you Janus The brugger Family, longsland, NY Lionel & Lynda Jarred & Thalia Dear Janus
This place is amazing!!! This view is by far the best I have ever seen. We cannot stop staring outside. The pool, the landscape, the floor, overall design is spectacular. We finished off our trip by staying here fore a few days and we were so glad we did. Day 1- sat by the pool and enjoyed the view This place is every bit as beautiful as the photos online. We booked our stay while Saba was still under construction and crossed our fingers that it would come out half as nice as the drawings, it far exceeded that!! Hope everyone enjoyed their stay as much as we did (but maybe for more than a few days) Brittany & DJ Stanford, CT Thankful to have come across this beautiful villa and Janus. We arrived to celebrate my 40th Birthday and it was the best birthday I’ve ever had.
We arrived with friends and did the volcano mud baths along with the waterfall, both are a must do! The in house chef Ramsey was so sweet, cooked amazing food as we ate dinner by the pool. Our last day ended with thunder and lightning but I’ll never forget this vacation. Thank you Janus for everything you are really amazing, smart and this is genius!!! Will be back to visit the newer villas. Sorry about the glass table. I guess we wanted to go our with a bang! Lots of love Jessica & George South Bronx, NY Day 1: arrived in the afternoon. Our driver brought us to the supermarket where we picked up supplies for our stay. We then made the beautiful drive to Saba. Our Jaws dropped when we saw it. We ended up eating in and enjoying our new home for the evening. Day 2: Woke up and decided to walk to town and walk and explore. It was fun swooning the bustling town. We returned and got a driver to take us to Anse Chastanet. We Sunbathed, swam and drunk all day. Beautiful beach. When we returned we went and eat at Pitit Peak. Great food and right on the water. Day 3: Walked to the market. Take the way that goes to town. We returned and got a ride to Sugar Beach. Absolutely stunning. There is an entry charge but it goes towards food and drinks at the bar. We then went to the mud baths. All of it was awesome. P.S Thank you Janus for the Mangoes and bread! WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
While most places in the world have four well-defined seasons, its proximity to the equator means that this is not really the case for the island of St. Lucia. Archives
