Dear Janus and his Team (future Guest!!)
How do we describe how much we loved our stay at Saba Villa? I guess it goes without saying, as this is our second trip here in a year! We last stayed in February 2020 right before Covid Pandemic really hit hard in the US, to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary as well as our babymoon!! We knew this was the perfect place to relax and unwind during a pandemic, as everything you need is right there in the villa! We haven’t left once!! We’ve literally spent all day laying by the pool admiring the magnificent view of the Pitons, swimming, cooking and watching movies on Netflix in the evening. As per our previous experience here, we knew that if there was anything we needed, Janus would make sure to arrange it for us. Staying with Janus, you get all the luxuries of an expensive resort, with an unbelievably low price tag. We already knew we would be coming back soon and are already planning on sending other Family members to stay at Janus’ properties. Thank you so much, Again for such an unforgettable stay! Sincerely Your loyal customers, Sarah & David NY,NY Words cannot describe how amazing our week in St. Lucia has been amidst the Pandemic, our escape at the villa was just what we needed- a week of relaxation, breathtaking views, sunshine and delicious foods.
Janus made sure our trip was unbelievable. He was the most hospitable host! Even though most of the island was shut down due to Covid, our time in Soufriere was nothing short of incredible. -Malie picked us up promptly from the airport, and was so gracious in grabbing us groceries, dinner etc. throughout our stay! -Shane treated is to an amazing day touring Soufriere- even though many places were closed, we still had a great day! -Ramiah- dropped off take out from Many local eateries we would have gone hungry without him! -Chef Ramsey came twice and prepared some spectacular dishes for us, our favorite being the cod and green banana! -The dream was our favorite restaurant for authentic local cuisine. The best jerk chicken and chicken roti! Thank you, Janus for a trip we will never forget. Your kindness and graciousness did not go unnoticed. We cannot wait to come back soon. Best Tara & Cameron Boston MA. Perfectly timed retreat!!
1.23.21 While everything is changing around us at a pace that is tough to keep up with. Saba Villa is a perfect resting spot in a beautiful country. When I say beautiful it goes so much deeper than the amazing view of the Pitons, warm weather and sunshine to bask in. it also refers to the friendly people we have encountered, the charming roosters all over town letting you know its morning time and the rambunctious goats providing a good laugh. Most of all though- Saba allows you to take a few breaths and relax, rest your mind and get back on the path you intend it to be. Janus Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with is for the week and best of luck in all your ventures. I cannot wait for our paths to cross again. Please send our love to Chef Ramsey as well. He was phenomenal!! To all Guest- take it in. Every second of it, because I promise you, as you leave you are going to instantly miss it! Enjoy your stay. Cheers to a happy and prosperous 2021 and every year there-after! Jen & Bryan JANUS IS THE MAN!!!!!! We Came to St. Lucia to celebrate our recent engagement and my 30th birthday. We arrived in Rodney Bay on Monday night only to find out there was a mix up with our reservation and we had to downgrade our hotel. A few days later covid-19 was announced to be a world wide pandemic. Although the Rodney Bay beaches is nice , the whole experience was weh! Luckily Janus saved our trip. We were able to leave Rodney Bay sooner and come to the lovely Soufriere.. From the time Ian picked us up the trip continued to get better and better. Things we saw and recommend in Soufriere:- Tet Paul Nature Trail, Botanical Gardens/Diamond waterfall, torille waterfall and Mud Baths. Anse Mamin Beach was our favorite. We stayed there all day and watched the sun set, we highly recommend this – burgers on the beach were delicious, we had the fish burgers. Pier 28 for late night food. We walked there on Friday night and enjoyed the fries and chicken wings, very cheap and delicious. Today we plan on spending the day at the villa and enjoying the view We can’t thank Janus enough for his generosity. He has played a major role on planning our trip memorable. We are looking forward to sharing our pictures and recommending janus’ place to our family & friends. We typically like to travel to different places but we might have to come back here. Once again thank you Janus Austyna & John from Canada P.S -If covid-19 makes us stay in St. Lucia for another week we won’t be so upset about it We love Soufriere Thank you for having us at wonderful Sab, we could not have been happier with our stay. The views and pool were much appreciated. We cooked a nice meal and then sat on the deck into the night. Janus was so kind and funny upon arrival, he made us very welcome, nothing has gone unnoticed, we plan on coming back. Thanks so much. John, Shannon, Marsha -Kentucky We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here in St. Lucia staying in Beautiful Saba Villa. Most of our stay has been here at the villa relaxing and decompressing from the hussle and bussle of our lives back home.
We had dinner at Sugar Beach between the 2 Pitons at Viceroy Resort, the views of the sunset there was spectacular! We had Jamal take us to Rodney Bay for a day trip, shopping along the way. For some great photos, sampled some cassava bread and rum tasting at the side of the road. Walked Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin beaches and got some amazing pictures. Stopped at the Blue Anchor Café near the Gazevo at Soufriere Beach Park, the chicken Penini’s were amazing!!! Went on a hike on Tet Paul Nature Trail, got ot see some incredible sightes and had some great Photos takes by our guide, drove into the volcano and ended the day at Torille Waterfall, it was beautiful, so powerful and refreshing!! We have enjoyed our first trip to St. Lucia to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. Thank you to sherek and Jamal for being great guides and taking some awesome pictures for us to enjoy for years to come Cathy & Dustin Plymouth, MA LET ME BEGIN BY SAYING YOU TRULY HAVE MADE THIS HONEYMOON A MEMORY THAT WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

GERMAL PICKED US UP FROM THE AIRPORT AND TOOK US ON A GUIDED TOUR AT THE VILLA, SO KNOWLEDGABLE AND FRIENDLY. STOPPED @ LOCAL MARKET AND PICK UP FOOD FOR THE NIGHT. YOU SAVED OUR HONEYMOON, THANK YOU JANUS ,, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTING, KNOWELEDGE ABOUT THE ISLAND AND ALL THE PERSONAL TOUCHES MADE SO OUR STAY WAS AMAZING . LOVE THE MARCUMS Dear Janus ( + his team ) & Future guests
Where do we start? First off, this is the one of the best properties to rent on the island! The view of the pitons, Soufriere and the ocean is appareled! you feel as if this is one of your own private high end resort, with all the amenities (Infinity pools, huge balconies, lounge chairs , smart tvs in every room rainfall and shower ) with all the comfort and luxuries of home . we never wanted to leave! you would notice day by day intentions was to stay spot here. Now Janus is a phenomenal host! our first day in just so happened to be independence on the island and most things were closed, he went and stocked our fridges with home essentials so we won’t be hungry our first night! He is incredibly reasonable and is very passionate about the cares of his guests in all his properties. When we got there, he met us in person to go over everything! Now for our day to day itinerary: • Night – Got dinner at petit peaks because it was the only place open. Food was good but a bit overpriced. I’m sure during the day when you can enjoy the view, its more worth it! came back to the villa, opened all the sliding doors to let in the Caribbean breeze and did come late night swimming. • Day 2 – Full relaxing day at the villa, there is really no reason to leave …dinner with chef Ramsey! Delicious! An absolute must! We really enjoyed this and had we been there earlier we would have booked him again! • Day 3 – Went to Anse Chastnet beach for 2.5hrs which is 10-15 mins away. We realize we like staying out at the villa better so we came back and spent the rest of the day there! , having a full kitchen was amazing as we really enjoyed cooking most of our meals there ! • Day 4 – Another crazy/ relaxing day at the villa. we took the sunset cruise through mystic man cruise (janus recommendation). its $60 USD per person and so worth it! • Last day – We were already in the pool dreading leaving. we are at the ladera for the next four days but would stay here if we could get our deposit back from ladera ! We absolutely loved SABA VILLA and JANUS and will recommend his properties to anyone! Love Sarah and David from new York Janus, Team, & Future Guests,
We only stayed at Saba for 3 nights after spending our first 5 nights at Sandals la Toc in Castries. It was great and all but very crowded and full of a lot of other newlyweds trying to do the same things as us. It was great meeting new people from other places in the U.S, but we quickly got tired of all the employees constantly coming up to us and asking us to spend more money on things we were not interested in. we rented a car and drove from Castries to Soufriere the drive was pretty and longer than expected due to the windy roads. We finally arrived to this beautiful, bustling town and become more and more amazing at its beauty as we went up the hill to Saba. As soon as we opened the doors to this gorgeous home our jaws dropped. The clean lines and simplicity of Saba is so refreshing, relaxing, and comforting. As we looked around, we opened the patio doors and sat in awe of the beautiful view and the quaint infinity pool. I love the sounds outside of the nature , the animals, and the relaxing town. Such a cool, unique mix of the heart of St. Lucia. Shortly after arriving, Janus came by to meet us, show us around, and make sure we had what we needed. He arranged a driver to take us to the market, which was so helpful! Once we returned, we took a dip in the pool, so relaxing. We were hungry so we drove down to the beach bar area, which a lot of things were closed, and a young man came up to us and showed us around. He ended up walking us to a place our driver told us about – Pier 28. The Bahama mama was so good! The chicken wrap & potato wedges were very yummy, we even got some to go. Day 2 Spent the morning with Coffee by the pool, listened to music and took in the amazing view. At 1pm we were picked up to go to our lunch reservations at Jade Mountain. WOW it’s hands down, the best, most magical view on the island! The food was AMAZING! If you have the chance, do this! We took tons of pics, and walked around before coming back. We were so full we lounged at the pool the rest of the day. Day 3 Janus arranged a driver to take us to the Tet Paul Trail – so pretty, nice 30 minute walk and some amazing views from different angels of the hillside. There are beautiful flowers and the view of the pitons is so cool because the trail goes in between them. After the trail we went to the Sulphur springs to the volcano, smelly, but pretty cool to see. Pretty crazy to say you’ve stood at the edge of a crater in an active volcano! Next we went to the Toraille Waterfall, $3USD to go, worth it. It’s a bit chilly but felt so refreshing after the hike and the volcano. Our driver, Dylan was so helpful at taking us to exactly where we wanted, he was fast and efficient. We wanted to have plenty of time in the afternoon to be in the pool, so he was awesome telling us the things that were worth out rime and money. He took great pics of us and was so nice. On the way back, he took us to a local place to get some lunch BBQ chicken, pork, mac n cheese and potato salad was so yummy! Thank Dylan. To finish our last day, we chilled at the pool, drank Red Strip beer and listened to music. It was so nice to have some quiet time with just us two, one of the things we have loved about being at Saba! For dinner last night we had Chef Ramsey come make the creole chicken, wow he was so awesome, and the best meal we’ve had here! He was so nice, friendly, prompt, he made our meal so quick, and cleaned everything up even quicker. The fresh, local ingredients in our meal were amazing! We have truly enjoyed trying the local, authentic food here. Chef Ramsey is a MUST while staying here! Thank you ! 😊 We are now packing as we get ready to leave, it’s a bittersweet feeling. This place has been incredible for our honeymoon, we are so thankful to have gotten the chance to stay at Saba! It has been such a unique experience we will never forget! Janus, this home is beautiful, I love your team and the direction your business is going. First class! We love the professionalism, organization and class we have experienced while being here with your team. Saba gave us the flexibility to do what we wanted, while still being able to have quality time to relax as newlyweds and still get to be adventurous– a win in our book! We will definitely be back! Thank you again for the hospitality! -Jake & Abby Minyen OKC, OK, USA! Go Thunder & GO Pokes! Jess & James – Honeymoon Janus current and future guests Saba Villa is an absolutes dream come true. I discovered Janus Villa while searching for our honeymoon before our wedding in May. I was blown away that something so amazing could be so affordable. So I dug deeper to make sure it wasn’t too good to be true. What I found were amazing reviews from real people, not only about the villa its self but about Janus as a host and his entire team. We were debating between St. Lucia and Aruba/Curacao and ultimately Janus villa became the ultimate factor- we couldn’t pass it up! In fact In researching future trip locations In other countries I’m having trouble in finding anything that comes close to the level of service and quality that Janus and his team provided. We actually had booked Serrana and Saba but had to change our travel dates and were able to snug 3 nights at Saba. Janus was great about the change! Our trip started on Nov. 30th at Sandals La Toc. Janus set up a driver to come pick us up which made it so convenient! You know when you see something online and it looks amazing and you see it in person and it doesn’t live up so we’re disappointed? Yeah Saba villa is the complete opposite of that. Pictures don’t do this place justice. You have to come experience it for yourself. We wake up the next morning to see the incredible view in the daylight for the first time and it was absolutely unreal. Every detail in tis villa is incredible. Janus, this place is brilliant!! From the architecture, the clean lines, industrial style, minimalist vibe, the pops of greenery and those doors that open wide and the infinity pool! Also loved how we could still keep the doors open and sit outside y=under the covered areas when it rained- that was genius. I could go on and on about this place. Our St. Lucia Trip OverviewNov. 30th, Day 1 – RDU – ATL- UVF- SANDALS LA TOC . Our Shuttle driver stopped on the roadside on the trip. James tried the spiced rum and we got the first taste of the incredible views St. Lucia has to offer. ate at the Pitons at La Toc- great food. Dec. 1st, Day 2- spend the morning at Sandals La Toc, then took the shuttle to Sandals Grande (gorgeous) Basically spent the day swimming in the ocean, eating and watching the sunset from the beach at the Grande. Dec. 2nd , Day 3- Spent the morning at Sandals La Toc. Met Sara from the son of Man Tours and booked a tour. She is awesome and so friendly! Stopped by Sandals Halcyon for lunch but the ocean was rough that day so we went back to the Grande for the beach party. Dancers and fire breathers were great. Dec,. 3rd, Day 4 – Spent the day at Sandals La Toc. Went Kayaking Do this if you get the chance. Had a great dinner at kimanos at La Toc. Regular reservations. Packed up to prepare to leave Sandals The Next day. Dec. 4th, Day 5- Our busiest Day! Check out at Sandals- they held onto our bags I the front lobby since we didn’t plan on leaving until the night. We met Sara on the beach at 8:45am for the 9am tour. We originally planned on doing some of the activities once we got to Soufriere but this end up working out for us to. Gabby our tour guide was great, kept up the energy and taught us about the island. The boat tour included swimming in the Torile waterfall, visiting the mud baths, lunch at Mama’s (sara’s aunty) house (authentic home cooked meals ), snorkel at Sugar Beach (a must!) and drinks on the boat ride back where they also showed us the tunnel of love and Marigot Bay. Oh, we also stopped in Soufriere for shopping which was nice to get a taste before coming to the villa! Went back to the resort to relax and after dinner got picked up and brought to villa (see notes from first page) Dec. 5th, Day 6- woke up to the incredible sunrise at Saba Villa. We opened the doors and spent the morning relaxing, swimming and enjoying the villa after a long day the prior day. Marie showed and Surprised us with bread. Sent Janus a text through whatsapp and he arranged a driver to take us to the ATM and store to get some groceries. Our driver Kirhil was great and answered all of our questions. After we got back we decided the villa was too nice to leave and Janus arranged to have chef Ramsey come to cook us dinner. Do not pass up this opportunity. Seriously! We had the curried chicken and it was out of this world. We immediately booked him for the next night even though we had originally planned on going to Jade Mountain for dinner. Where Chef Ramsey used to work! Dec. 6tht, Day 7 – Spent the morning relaxing, cooked breakfast and swam in the pool. Janus arranged to have Jamal pick us up to take us to Tet Paul Nature Trail (must do!) and along the way explained the bilding around us. Tet Paul Nature trail was well worth the U.S$10.00pp entrance fee. As other have said the guide does a great job explaining the plants, trees and crops along the way. Views are absolutely incredible expecially for such a short hike. After Jamal took us to the ATM, the store then back to the villa. We relaxed the rest of the afternoon and watched the sun set while chef Ramsey cooked us grilled pork with Pineapple and banana in batter (Yum) We’re now spending the rest of the night relaxing and eating ice cream while writing this sitting next to the pool Dec. 7th, Day 8 – Our plan is to check out or be picked up at 11:00am, then head to Hotel Chocolat for lunch on the way to the airport. We’re so sad to have to say goodbye to this place but feel so luck to have the opportunity to stay here. Janus- huge thanks to you and your team for the incredible stay and experience. We haven’t even left and we already want to come back. Much Love Jess and James Majewski Raleigh, North Carolina P.S – Nothing against Sandals but having this time to ourselves in this incredible villa, the ease and convenience of the drivers and the amazing meal coming to us has been the most relaxing this ever and super romantic to just focus on one another during our honeymoon vs being surround by a ton of other couples trying to do the same thing, Thank you for that. WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
While most places in the world have four well-defined seasons, its proximity to the equator means that this is not really the case for the island of St. Lucia. Archives
