Hello!!!
We did a lot of activities already listed in the guide, so in an effort to save time I’ll just list some tips that you may find helpful

• Boucan by Hotel Chocolat: this is our favorite restaurant we tried on the island. Everything you order will have some aspect of cocoa or chocolate-even the butter. It is $100us for 2 people (including a drink and desert) but definitely worth it. Even though there are more than enough places to not repeat meals during your vacation, we liked it so much we ate there twice. (if you arrive there after dark, rear left after you pull into the driveway…unless you feel like driving into an active volcano. P.S -They also have a spa with Chocolate inspired treatments that ill be visiting tomorrow.

• Beware of the restaurant hours. Martha’s Tables is only open until 3pm daily and many places close early (before dinner) on Monday & Tuesday.

• Piton Falls. Torille is also nice, but quite small, so visit after 3pm to avoid the tour crowds.

• Snorkeling/Beaches- we didn’t find great off-the-beach snorkeling on the island. Of the places we went (Sugar Beach, Anse Mamin and Pigeon Island), Sugar Beach was the best. Most of the other beaches is reserved for resort guests, but there is a public area to the right of the boat dock. Swim to the rocks to find lots of fish. The beach itself is very pretty

Driving: driving around the island is fun, challenging and essential if you want to be on your own schedule to visit the attractions. If you’ve just arrived and didn’t rent a car, we recommend getting one at least for a couple of days. Text Janus to help organize. Keep in mind that many activities, like waterfalls and hikes have pretty cheap entrance fees. You can actually save money by avoiding organized tour costs.

Honking here isn’t rude. Its your way of communicating with other drivers. Honk when going around blind corners to let other know you are coming and put your flashers on if you want the person behind you to pass. You will get passed-local drivers fast on curvy roads
