Sally & Nick
Thanks to Janus and the previous guests for their advice. We had variable weather – wet and very wet! But between the showers the beaches are all good.
For all attractions avoid 11:30-14:30 especially if the cruise ship are in dock. Eat Out Ruby’s down the road is great, really great. Magdalena looked after us well and prices are good. Hotel Chocolat- a much visit restaurant, not as expensive as feared , and the view- Breathtaking. Fedos is ok – very cheap tasty and friendly. Now open 9-5- including breakfast. Knock if the door is closed. Hammingbird good for breakfast but not that good value- nice coffee. ‘’Happy’’- by the football ground entrance, red & yellow building. Didn’t eat there but the scottish manager of botanical gardens spoke very favorably about it. AVOID : Deja Vous – aweful breakfast, Pitit peak- ridiculously expensive and possibly the worst meal we had. Tried a couple of bars in town- both very friendly, cheap and enjoyed chatting with the locals. Orlando’s- good food but at U.S $60.00 + 20% it should have been better – Hotel Chocolat was Far more impressive and is Ruby’s!!! Katba and Kat
First, thank you for renting us this amazing apartment! You can go anywhere – all places are so beautiful here! But top places for us are: Laborie – Small village with nice beach without tourists. We had lobsters and coconuts with locals there and it was amazing. Sugar Beach - Best snorkeling. You have to go there by water taxi but it’s really fast, just 10 minutes. There is a lot of tourist but the beach is really nice. Football watch in Soufriere – you don’t have to be a football fan to go there. So many people and everybody had fun. Perfect experience. Edmund Forest Reserve – Beautiful trail in the rainforest! The road isn’t in a good condition but you can do it, don’t be afraid. We did a whole trail in 2.5 hrs. there is a lot of stairs and it’s slippery. Take good shoes. If you like wild nature you have to see it! We saw there 2 meter long snake, it was so cool! Beer with the locals – Local people are so lovely!! They are really friendly and enjoy chatting with tourist. In the city is lot of nice bars with amazing atmosphere. You can just go there and meet new people and make friends. Tourist Guide – there are many tourist guides but we had the best! If you will need a water taxi or guide call Simon Pascal or Brian from Giddy Up company. And say hi to from Katba and Katba |
WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
While most places in the world have four well-defined seasons, its proximity to the equator means that this is not really the case for the island of St. Lucia. Archives
