This has truly been a trip of a lifetime in the midst of a crazy year. We can’t imagine a more perfect destination plus service! Thank you to all who made it such a great stay, Janus, Jermal, Liam, Shane & Chef Ramsey!
Day 1: arrive to the island and promptly picked up by Dillon who was so friendly and cheerful. Stopped to load up on Groceries, especially Piton beers, Chairman’s rum and fresh fruit! Dillon then drove us through Soufriere to point out great local spots. We arrived at Saba and our breath was taken away by the view. We swam and enjoyed the evening. The perfect end to our day - chef Ramsey! The food was amazing and chef Ramsey was a delight!
Day 2: we started our day with coffee and breakfast on our balcony and then were greeted by Liam for out Soufriere Day tour. Liam Truly brough the laughter and Energy. We began with a hike at Tet Paul with a spectacular 360 degree view, followed by the drive-in Volcano tour & Mud Baths. We then visited the waterfall to rinse off. To top it all off we sipped on amazing rum punch and followed by a truly amazing lunch at the beacon. Views were crazy! We ended our day with dinner at Ladera which was yummy, had great live music!
Day 3: Today was supposed to be rainy but ended up sunny! We made last minute plans with Jermal to visit paradise beach which was beautiful. Drinks was great but lunch was the main highlight. Get the Mahi Lunch special. After a day at the beach we came home to watch the sun set and Jermal arranged dinner at Mango Tree.
Day 4: Today we decided to walk into town for lunch at Fedos which was lovely and cheap! Shane then coordinated a private boat for 3 hours for snorkeling! It was truly magical! We ended the day with dinner at tree top for Indian Caribbean fusion. Wow- this place was the true hidden gem 3 course set sharing menu with custom cocktails made by hamilton. Service, food and ambiance, make this a must try.
Day 5: Our last full day in Paradise. We Jam pack a lot into this day to make the most of our time. Spent the whole day at Anse Chastanet beach, drank lots of yummy cocktails (mango mojita was the best) and had a delicious lunch at the beach. We walked down to Anse Mamain which was the most relaxing & tranquil beach. We went back home and Jermal booked us a sunset reservation at Rabot Hotel. We arrived early for some drinks and now- they were delicious. Service, food, views and dessert were incredible and well worth the cost
Today was pack-up and leave. We are feeling truly blessed to have visited St. Lucia, had so many beautiful experiences. Met so many great people and felt so much hospitality. We will definitely be back to Saba Villa!
Sarah & Ryan from South Carolina
Just like the many couples who wrote in this book before us, we had an amazing experience in St. Lucia for our honeymoon. Thanks to the full range of hospitality that comes wit renting this incredible villa.
When choosing where we would stay on the island we both thought it would be adventurous, but also secluded & romantic to have a place all to ourselves. Thank god we made it that choice.
We enjoyed having on-on one conversations with our drivers and local guides. We enjoyed snorkeling and ziplining during our stay as well as the into tour that took us to the sulphur springs, a waterfall and the Tet Paul Nature Trail. At each step of the way we saw the huge bus filled with people staying at resorts or big boats filled with them. I was so relaxed and enjoyed to be with my wife at these places and not have to stand in a line to wait our turn. We got the attention (and photography skills!) of our driver/guide and got to soak up every experience.
Food wise on the island, we enjoyed about half our meals in the villa- cooking food from the local massy store and also having chef ramsey make us a wonderful meal. We got grab and go foods from local spots like the dream, whispers & fedos. All very tasty but what impressed us most was the 2 nights we dined out at Dasheen & Orlandos. Talk about a true culinary experience! Dasheene has the best view & frozen drinks but orlandos certainly had the best food, served 5 or 6 courses with no menu, just what is fresh and good that day. The chef even comes around to the tables as though you are a friend or house guest, telling you a bit more about what he’s put on the plate.
From early morning waking up to gorgeous Pitons and the view of Soufriere to evenings spent relaxing in the pool, watching the colors of the sky fade away, we have had the time of our lives here at Saba villa and in the beautiful town, meeting so many kind St. Lucian Natives.
We feel absolutely blessed to have been here for our first trip to St. Lucia. We pray that one day we can return.
Thank you to all our wonderful drivers, guides and Janus’ staff for making our time here so special and giving us many memories and perspectives to take home with us!
NO PRESSURE…NO PROBLEM
With love and thanks

WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
While most places in the world have four well-defined seasons, its proximity to the equator means that this is not really the case for the island of St. Lucia.
