Geoff & Niomi May 2021
We had a magical 5 day in Soufriere thanks to this beautiful island, the kind people and the breathtaking villa! Huge thank you to Janus for making our stay completely effortless and making us feel like VIP’s. Everything we wanted to do was easily arrange for us by Janus, Jermal or Shane who were so kind, patient and considerate. Day 1:- we got in, in the afternoon. Shane took us to buy groceries on the way in (his recommendation) and Jermal brought us food from a local restaurant to the villa. We read and enjoyed the spectacular view on the Patio. Day 2:- We hiked Gros Piton in the morning, after making a quick breakfast. Jermal took us to the right spot, handed us over to a guide who walked up with us. Definitely recommend the hike! It’s a well paved trail with beautiful views. It feels like walking up a long staircase. We did it in closer to 3 hours with some stops along the way. The Jermal took us to Malgretoute beach which is the only beach open to tourist because of COVID. It was really relaxing, food was good and water was super clear. We ended up going twice. The View of Pitit Piton is Beautiful while you swim. Day 3:- We were sore! Janus took us to see some of his other incredible villas and we made brunch at home and swam in the pool. Later we went for a walk along the coast towards Jade Mountain and Chef Ramsey met us at home and cooked us a delicious meal! It was $$$ was absolutely delicious and felt like a private restaurant. Definitely the best food we’ve had on the island. Day 4 :- we went diving with Chester off Hummingbird beach. Chester was amazing. The son of a fisherman who now plants coral and is a dive master. We saw coral we’ve never seen before and we have been to the great Bamia reef. We grabbed food at Blue Anchor and Orlandos (both delicious) and head home for a swim. We ate left over from Chef Ramsey and cooked dinner @ home. Day 5:- We did the Tet Paul Nature trail. It was incredible to learn about the farming community that sustains and is sustained by the fruit and vegetables that grow there. The Pineapples were adorable. The view between the Pitons is unbeatable. Don’t miss it! Then we went back to Malgretoute beach for our last swim and fish burgers. There is also a little fruit boat where we got fresh coconuts. He has a blender on the boat to make cocktails. Jermal hooked us up with a dinner reservation at Ladera. They put us at the best seat with spectacular views and sunset. The food was delicious! Staying with Janus is the way to go! Everything was taken care of and people treated us like royalty Thank you Janus, Jermal & Shane Gros Piton Diving with Chester Tet Paul Nature Trail Malgretoute Beach Chef Ramsey Ladera Restaurant We’ll Be Back! WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
While most places in the world have four well-defined seasons, its proximity to the equator means that this is not really the case for the island of St. Lucia. Archives
