Janus, Team, & Future Guests,
We only stayed at Saba for 3 nights after spending our first 5 nights at Sandals la Toc in Castries. It was great and all but very crowded and full of a lot of other newlyweds trying to do the same things as us. It was great meeting new people from other places in the U.S, but we quickly got tired of all the employees constantly coming up to us and asking us to spend more money on things we were not interested in. we rented a car and drove from Castries to Soufriere the drive was pretty and longer than expected due to the windy roads. We finally arrived to this beautiful, bustling town and become more and more amazing at its beauty as we went up the hill to Saba. As soon as we opened the doors to this gorgeous home our jaws dropped. The clean lines and simplicity of Saba is so refreshing, relaxing, and comforting. As we looked around, we opened the patio doors and sat in awe of the beautiful view and the quaint infinity pool. I love the sounds outside of the nature , the animals, and the relaxing town. Such a cool, unique mix of the heart of St. Lucia. Shortly after arriving, Janus came by to meet us, show us around, and make sure we had what we needed. He arranged a driver to take us to the market, which was so helpful! Once we returned, we took a dip in the pool, so relaxing. We were hungry so we drove down to the beach bar area, which a lot of things were closed, and a young man came up to us and showed us around. He ended up walking us to a place our driver told us about – Pier 28. The Bahama mama was so good! The chicken wrap & potato wedges were very yummy, we even got some to go. Day 2 Spent the morning with Coffee by the pool, listened to music and took in the amazing view. At 1pm we were picked up to go to our lunch reservations at Jade Mountain. WOW it’s hands down, the best, most magical view on the island! The food was AMAZING! If you have the chance, do this! We took tons of pics, and walked around before coming back. We were so full we lounged at the pool the rest of the day. Day 3 Janus arranged a driver to take us to the Tet Paul Trail – so pretty, nice 30 minute walk and some amazing views from different angels of the hillside. There are beautiful flowers and the view of the pitons is so cool because the trail goes in between them. After the trail we went to the Sulphur springs to the volcano, smelly, but pretty cool to see. Pretty crazy to say you’ve stood at the edge of a crater in an active volcano! Next we went to the Toraille Waterfall, $3USD to go, worth it. It’s a bit chilly but felt so refreshing after the hike and the volcano. Our driver, Dylan was so helpful at taking us to exactly where we wanted, he was fast and efficient. We wanted to have plenty of time in the afternoon to be in the pool, so he was awesome telling us the things that were worth out rime and money. He took great pics of us and was so nice. On the way back, he took us to a local place to get some lunch BBQ chicken, pork, mac n cheese and potato salad was so yummy! Thank Dylan. To finish our last day, we chilled at the pool, drank Red Strip beer and listened to music. It was so nice to have some quiet time with just us two, one of the things we have loved about being at Saba! For dinner last night we had Chef Ramsey come make the creole chicken, wow he was so awesome, and the best meal we’ve had here! He was so nice, friendly, prompt, he made our meal so quick, and cleaned everything up even quicker. The fresh, local ingredients in our meal were amazing! We have truly enjoyed trying the local, authentic food here. Chef Ramsey is a MUST while staying here! Thank you ! 😊 We are now packing as we get ready to leave, it’s a bittersweet feeling. This place has been incredible for our honeymoon, we are so thankful to have gotten the chance to stay at Saba! It has been such a unique experience we will never forget! Janus, this home is beautiful, I love your team and the direction your business is going. First class! We love the professionalism, organization and class we have experienced while being here with your team. Saba gave us the flexibility to do what we wanted, while still being able to have quality time to relax as newlyweds and still get to be adventurous– a win in our book! We will definitely be back! Thank you again for the hospitality! -Jake & Abby Minyen OKC, OK, USA! Go Thunder & GO Pokes! Comments are closed.
