​We were a little uneasy at first, but this is a land of beauty and people full of love and respect. 
I would be hard pressed at home to walk home from town and be greeted by every person along the way. 

Janus is a fantastic host and helps in every way possible to make you feel at home. 
We took his advice on car rental, snorkel tour with Mystic Man and dive lessons at Anse Chastanet. 
This location is perfect for getting to many beautiful places. The view is so incredible you may not want to leave! 

Settle in and relax, you will have a great time!

• Hiking Gros Piton – Don’t be afraid to do Petit Piton, better views. 
• Snorkel tour with Mystic Man

• Dinner at Hummingbird Resort at Sunset. 
• Dinner at Mangot Tree with Steel Drums. 
• Scuba Lessons at Anse Chastanet with Dave. 
• Snorkeling on our own at Hummingbird and Anse Chastanet. 
• Buy Gorceries at Erolines and start weach day with breakfast on your balcony. 

The balcony each morning and evening is unforgettable!

Thanks! This is a wonderful apartment. 

We walked to the stores in the town and were greeted by friendly residents every time. we went to Ruby’s, Pier 28, and one place on the Pier – we thin it is Petit Peaks – we had wonderful meals and enjoyed everything. We came for a wedding and sampled amazing food at Orlando’s. The Chef was a terrific host. 

Janus has the best drivers on the island! Shane is a great tour guide for the whole expo tour. 
We have enjoyed fruits and rum each day and then have the joy of returning to the view of the Pitons and Soufriere.

Chester Action dive by hummingbird resort is reasonable and excellent for snorkeling – patient with young and old novices. 

The mystic man sunset cruise was the perfect end to a magical week. We were once again blessed to savor coffee on the balcony before departing home!

Janus is an amazing host and his hospitality is second to none. He made us feel so welcomed!

For snorkeling we would recommend Anse Chastanet & Malgretoute (go to the left hand side of the beach) Both beach were diverted when we went and the water was crystal clear with plenty of fish…and a turtle!

Not for the hardened walker but the Tet Paul Nature trail and Diamond Botanical Gardens are pleasant walks with the T.P.N.T providing some amazing views of the Pitons.

The Sulphur Springs Mud Baths Is a must! Great fun and the museum and guided tour of the volcano were interesting.

Went to Castries Saturday Market. Lots of market seller pushing the hard sell and little variety between their wares – wouldn’t recommend going

Great Apartment and great location. Rent a car and discover the island. Roads are kinds crazy but with 4x4 you will be fine. Janus is awesome and always available if you need him

We stayed 7 days in Sapphire 1 and 4 days in Sapphire 2 both places are great but the balcony here is breathtaking.

Recommend:

Anse Mamin beach- right next to Anse Chastanet beach instead of Sugar Beach, no people, beautiful beach, cheaper sun beds

Snorkel @ Anse Chastanet Beach – WOW!!!

Hike Pitit Piton.

Go zip lining with rain forest adventures up north

Visit Marigot Bay

Hike to En Bas Saut waterfall but be aware of snakes. We met 1,5m boa snake

Mud Baths and drive-in Volcano- your skin get so soft.

Hike Tet Paul Trail- short but great view.

Do not go to Sugar Beach- to expensive and crowded

The little ‘’UNKNOWN’’ beach under the pitons is so nice and secluded

Beware of all the local hustlers- they will try to charge you for everything- direction etc.

Eat at The Mango Tree- beautiful view and amazing food and good prices (book in advance)

Eat at Martha’s Tables- great local cuisine and nice people

​We could have easily spent every moment here on the balcony, but we didn't.

This apartment is so convenient to so many places to walk...
-Botanical Gardens
-Restaurants downtown
-Hummingbird beach( the best afternoon place to swim & relax)

We rented a car through Janus' recommended rental. It was delivered to the apartment and we dropped it off at the airport when we left. While driving some of the narrower roads in town was challenging, The drive north for the day and the views of the Caribbean were well worth it!

Highly recommend dinner at Boucan at Hotel Chocolat. A short drive south of town and a wonderful meal.

We also visited Fond Doux Plantation & did their "snack" tour. Great to learn more about the native plants, how cocoa is harvested and to tour the beautiful grounds.

We will miss this beautiful island & the people of Soufriere.

After 1 week of sailing from Rodney Bay to Tobago Cays and back, we settled into Sapphire 2 for 2 nights. Janus met us promptly with a warm smile and open hands, helping us with our luggage and getting us settled in. 

2 nights is not really enough time to explore the beauty of Soufriere. We had a lot of food left over from the sailing trip, so didn’t explore the restaurants. 

We hiked Gros Piton with the help of a guide and it was a great hike. A little harder than expected. 

We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the patio late into the evening. Things we didn’t get to do/see: The Botanical Gardens, Sulfur Hot Springs. 

Net time our place is to sail from Florida to Grenada – 1 way. With longer stops along the way. The people of St. Lucia are very friendly and we would love to visit again.

On my arrival in St. Lucia for the very first time along with my family of 3 including myself. We started our tour the following day by going to the following places.

1. Botanical Garden
2. Mud Bath
3. Volcano Site
4. Dada Mountain Beach 
5. Two Beautiful Waterfalls

We were driven around the town of Soufriere by Leroy our driver who was very nice and informative. Later in our stay at the apartment we were able to walk in the town to the Supermarket and the local market. We attended a great cricket match down the street from the apartment. We had knowledge of the game because we were born in Jamaica, now live in the USA. The people were very nice and friendly, we felt at home. 

One of our stays we wanted to tour another side of the Island so Jamal, another driver took us to Castries and Rodney Beach. We had a lot of fun and hope to be back soon.

Janus is a great guy and he will take care of you.

The apartment itself is beautiful, modern and spacious. Child friendly balcony, however due to the location a car is a must. We hired a car during our stay and couldn’t have managed without it. Especially as our daughters are very young and both in push chairs.

Places we visited:

Sugar Beach- We drove there and pain$100 US dollars to go into the resort which included a meal, but we were quickly thrown off the resort side of the beach as hiring sun loungers (from the hotel) would have been another $100 US dollars! There is a public area to the beach which is free (including no charge for sun beds) and we were advised that you can get to Sugar Beach via water taxi from Soufriere sea front (opposite the police station) for about $20 US dollars. If we’d been there longer we would have gone back this way and saved a lot of money! It’s a beautiful beach, good for swimming and worth the visit.

Botanical Gardens- Only a short drive away, 7 US dollars each and pleasant place to visit and walk around.

Drive in Volcano- Very interesting to learn about the history of the volcano and reasonably priced.
It’s also possible to have a mud bath while you’re there but we were unable to do this as the children were too young.

Places to eat:

• Ruby’s 
• Fedo’s- very close to the apartment
• Martha’s Tables (beautiful views on the road leading to Sugar Beach)
• Café Creole- Upstairs on the sea front

We would recommend all the above places and enjoyed all the food. 
 
We would love to come back to St. Lucia one day for 2 weeks (this holiday was supposed to be 2 weeks, but we missed our flight because of the snow ☹

This was our first time to St. Lucia but hopefully not our last.

The view from Sapphire 2 has been amazing. Janus and Jamal has taken great care of us.

We did a private boat and  land tour with captain cliff that I would highly recommend. Our tour guide took us to Sulphur Springs, a waterfall & Marigot Bay.

Tet Paul Nature Trail is a must see!!

Janus and his people are amazing. If you need anything just ask him.

1. Get small US bills if you are using them
2. Eroline’s Supermarket is close by!
3. Walk to Cagney’s Bar
4. Taxi a water taxi over to Anse Chastanet
5. Hang with the local- bbq is yummy

Janus: Really enjoyed the condo, All the needed tools were here for us to make this vacation absolutely enjoyable. Your maintenance team was on the ball for our every need this includes you!! 

Future Guests – we recommended: 

Captain for the day – you drive the boat. Great way to see St. Lucia. They will accommodate your every practical request. Ask for Dane and Cornell. 

Water Taxis to Beaches and other locations. Don’t be shy about battering the prices. You should get the price “YOU” feel is fair. 

Sugar Beach  - great snorkeling for every one, this is a tourist beach so there are many excursions that stop here. 

The gift shop sells the cheapest beer. 

Ruby’s Pizza – We enjoyed the Pizza over their other offerings. Unfortunately they are inconsistent. The pizza chef is on their own schedule. 

We did a lot of the tourist attractions. Botanical gardens, Mud Baths, etc. not overly priced and you can decide to do these at your own pace or pay for added tour.

There is a lot to see and do, enjoy your stay!
