Thanks! This is a wonderful apartment.
We walked to the stores in the town and were greeted by friendly residents every time. we went to Ruby’s, Pier 28, and one place on the Pier – we thin it is Petit Peaks – we had wonderful meals and enjoyed everything. We came for a wedding and sampled amazing food at Orlando’s. The Chef was a terrific host. Janus has the best drivers on the island! Shane is a great tour guide for the whole expo tour. We have enjoyed fruits and rum each day and then have the joy of returning to the view of the Pitons and Soufriere. Chester Action dive by hummingbird resort is reasonable and excellent for snorkeling – patient with young and old novices. The mystic man sunset cruise was the perfect end to a magical week. We were once again blessed to savor coffee on the balcony before departing home! Sandy and Don

Balcony - The best location in town
Beds - Comfy & cool Showers - Refreshing! Kitchen - All that you need on vacation Living Room - Perfect Way better than a hotel folks! Your host Janus, is the most gracious and understanding owner of a vacation property you will encounter! Jermal, our tour driver ( and 1st night dinner delivery person) is kind, informative, safe driver. What a gem! It rained off & on and we even enjoyed watching the rain from sapphire apartment 2. Enjoy! M. Gray & R. Anderson Calgary Alberta, Canada After 1 week of sailing from Rodney Bay to Tobago Cays and back, we settled into Sapphire 2 for 2 nights. Janus met us promptly with a warm smile and open hands, helping us with our luggage and getting us settled in.
2 nights is not really enough time to explore the beauty of Soufriere. We had a lot of food left over from the sailing trip, so didn’t explore the restaurants. We hiked Gros Piton with the help of a guide and it was a great hike. A little harder than expected. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the patio late into the evening. Things we didn’t get to do/see: The Botanical Gardens, Sulfur Hot Springs. Net time our place is to sail from Florida to Grenada – 1 way. With longer stops along the way. The people of St. Lucia are very friendly and we would love to visit again. Thank you, Tania & Chuck On my arrival in St. Lucia for the very first time along with my family of 3 including myself. We started our tour the following day by going to the following places.
1. Botanical Garden 2. Mud Bath 3. Volcano Site 4. Dada Mountain Beach 5. Two Beautiful Waterfalls We were driven around the town of Soufriere by Leroy our driver who was very nice and informative. Later in our stay at the apartment we were able to walk in the town to the Supermarket and the local market. We attended a great cricket match down the street from the apartment. We had knowledge of the game because we were born in Jamaica, now live in the USA. The people were very nice and friendly, we felt at home. One of our stays we wanted to tour another side of the Island so Jamal, another driver took us to Castries and Rodney Beach. We had a lot of fun and hope to be back soon. Janus is a great guy and he will take care of you. -Ray IL.USA 06-11-2018 15-22 March 2018
The apartment itself is beautiful, modern and spacious. Child friendly balcony, however due to the location a car is a must. We hired a car during our stay and couldn’t have managed without it. Especially as our daughters are very young and both in push chairs. Places we visited: Sugar Beach- We drove there and pain$100 US dollars to go into the resort which included a meal, but we were quickly thrown off the resort side of the beach as hiring sun loungers (from the hotel) would have been another $100 US dollars! There is a public area to the beach which is free (including no charge for sun beds) and we were advised that you can get to Sugar Beach via water taxi from Soufriere sea front (opposite the police station) for about $20 US dollars. If we’d been there longer we would have gone back this way and saved a lot of money! It’s a beautiful beach, good for swimming and worth the visit. Botanical Gardens- Only a short drive away, 7 US dollars each and pleasant place to visit and walk around. Drive in Volcano- Very interesting to learn about the history of the volcano and reasonably priced. It’s also possible to have a mud bath while you’re there but we were unable to do this as the children were too young. Places to eat:
We would love to come back to St. Lucia one day for 2 weeks (this holiday was supposed to be 2 weeks, but we missed our flight because of the snow ☹ Paul, Caroline, Ruby and Poppy Haggath Middlesbrough, UK Janus: Really enjoyed the condo, All the needed tools were here for us to make this vacation absolutely enjoyable. Your maintenance team was on the ball for our every need this includes you!!
Future Guests – we recommended: Captain for the day – you drive the boat. Great way to see St. Lucia. They will accommodate your every practical request. Ask for Dane and Cornell. Water Taxis to Beaches and other locations. Don’t be shy about battering the prices. You should get the price “YOU” feel is fair. Sugar Beach - great snorkeling for every one, this is a tourist beach so there are many excursions that stop here. The gift shop sells the cheapest beer. Ruby’s Pizza – We enjoyed the Pizza over their other offerings. Unfortunately they are inconsistent. The pizza chef is on their own schedule. We did a lot of the tourist attractions. Botanical gardens, Mud Baths, etc. not overly priced and you can decide to do these at your own pace or pay for added tour. There is a lot to see and do, enjoy your stay! Janus thank you again for the Fresh bread and Fruits that were left for us. Kevin, Kaven, Rick and Joanne. My sister and her husband will have been here 3 weeks+. We totally loved the condos and spent most early mornings and evenings enjoying the Million Dollar view on the balcony. Every day was an adventure here and we are so happy that we chose this area as it is close to all of the main attractions. We walk everywhere for the adventure and the workout.
We walked to the following attraction: Anse Chastanet + Anse Mamin beaches. Enjoyed the snorkeling @ Anse Chastanet but there were a lot of boats coming in and out. Lazy walk, great workout. Botanical gardens Jerusalem falls- this is a hidden gem on your way to Torille waterfall in Soufriere. A little trail on the right, take you to the hot, warm and cool mineral baths-went twice as enjoyed immensely. Walked to Torille falls – water is cool, but falls are beautiful. Walked to Sugar Beach after getting off of the local bus. It is a long walk, mostly uphill. The beach and views are beautiful. May got again tomorrow but by taxi arranged by our awesome host Janus. Today we climbed Gros Piton. It was an amazing experience + it was challenging. Coming down was slippery. Overall an amazing experience. Sulphur Springs/Mud Baths- after climbing Gros Piton, we were happy to relax in the hot water and do Mud baths- very unique and enjoyable. We also took a local bus to Castries and Rodney Bay. Oh, what a ride from here to Castries! Very windy road and well hell of a scary damage…lol but we made it back in one piece. We had lunch in Rodney Bay at Spinnakers in Reduit Beach, but the food was very bland and nothing to talk about. Roti at Fedos-had it a few times. Lunch at Anse Chastanet was great Had drinks at Pitit Peak restaurant at reasonable price We did our groceries at Massy’s on our way from the airport and at the local grocery store in Soufriere. Janus made all our transportation arrangements easy and our driver Stephen was an excellent and very accommodating driver. Dec. 19th – had a great day at Sugar Beach and had our lunch there (mini burger and jerk chicken) Amazing day!!! Tomorrow we move to unit #1 for 2 days = we’ll miss this Balcony and the two bedrooms/bathrooms!!! Brigitte Arrived at apartment after spending the first four days of our holiday in Choc (other end of island). Had a great time at that and of the island.
Janus had someone come down to the town to guide us to the Apartment. I was attached to the apartment after viewing it online and was very pleased with my choice of accommodation because the apartment was exactly as seen online. (which don’t always happen). Janus was the bomb for a host. It was very easy communication with him before the visit. He made sure that I know all that I wanted to know and always responded to my messages. He visited on the second day to make sure that we were comfortable and settled in. I made a request for a couple of soft pillows and by evening he had them delivered to the apartment. He also had some local bread delivered to the apartment for us and advice on some places to visit. During our visit t this side of the Island. We visited the Volcano, the town and did some sightseeing as we had our own rented vehicle. This was very interesting. Enjoyable. We enjoyed the time (3 days) we spent at the apartment, but sitting on the balcony and taking in that fantastic, unbeatable view of the hills, the town, the Pitons and the ocean, a picture of God’s Creation. That was worth coming to see the experience. Great Visit! Thanks Janus! P.N- will surely recommend to my fellow barbadians. Hello from Megan (Canadian) & Andrew (brit)
We spent four nights at Sapphire – it was meant to be six but hurricane Irma had us grounded in Martinique for two extra days, because of that we had to be satisfied with a little less time and thus fewer sights and activities. In our 4 nights/five days we did: 1.)De Belle View Restaurant - Very down to earth & friendly -Good Carribbean food 2.)Beach by Hummingbird Resort- Not a showstopper, but walk able and quiet -Definitely not touristy! 3.) Sulphur Springs – Our skin felt super soft after 4.)Torille waterfall – Just that – a waterfall -Nice and cool after mud bath 5.) Pitit Peak Restarant – Great fish – Creole fish pianie was excellent -Nice atmosphere on waterfront with cross-breeze 6.) Anse Chastanet -took a water taxi and spent the day -Beach is lovely, snorkeling is decent -Drinks are pricey Things we didn’t do but wanted to : Gros Piton – It was a million degrees and we were short on time, but looks amazing Suba Diving – We made the mistake of believing the guidebooks and websites (risky, but especially so row season) rather than calling and then arriving to discover the excursions weren’t running -Boooo! We really enjoyed the condo here at Sapphire Apt. # 2. Janus and his staff were excellent with their service and follow ups during our stay. We went snorkeling at Anse Chastanet and Sugar Beach which is nice and safe. The snorkeling area is all roped off.
We had Pizza from Ruby’s Pizzaria and a roti from Fedos which was all very good. We hike up Gros Piton which was a long hike but the views were worth the hike. The hiking trail is well maintained. The Condo here at Sapphire Apt. #2 is well laid out, very comfortable and lots of kitchen appliances. Janus, you should vet a vegetable peeler. The views from the deck are excellent, we enjoyed a lot of mornings and evenings. Loved our time in Saint Lucia Robert & Shannon Nova Scotia, Canada |
