Thank you, Marcus for sharing your lovely house with us and for the advice and guidance on making our holiday in St. Lucia one to remember.
St. Lucia is a beautiful island that needs to be explored; a car is essential to really “see” the island. The Tet Paul nature trail is a great, easy walk with stunning views of the Pitons. Down in Canaries next to the bridge is a little bakery that sells very cheap bread and pastries that are very tasty! The Tree Top Adventure (ziplining) in Dennery (east coast of the island) is good fun. Book online a few days in advance for a reduced entrance fee (about $5.00 per person). Pigeon Island is a very nice place to visit and walk with an interesting history. There is a small ‘outside bar’ near the entrance that serves good food too. Soufriere is a very interesting town with lots of character and is worth a visit. Be prepared, however to be approached by young lads wanting money for a small model made of grass/ weeds. And also a few beggars roam the streets. In Soufriere there is a restaurant on the coast called Petit Peak, which serves good food at an excellent price. And just around the corner from Petit Peak is an Art Café, which sells very good iced coffee! It’s a colourful café, you can’t miss it! Finally, we’d like to mention the dogs that lime locally. They are extremely friendly and would often be there on the balcony in the morning to say hello. They just want to be petted! There is a very shy puppy with the pack that gained some trust with us after about five days. Be careful with the pup as he is quite weak and has very weak back legs. So, this lovely house with great sea views also comes with very friendly local arrivals! We hope this information is useful and that you also have a great holiday here on St. Lucia! -Mike & Sophie (UK) Nottingham Comments are closed.
