We had a great time in St. Lucia and so much for exploring. We were so grateful for Marcus’ hospitality and being right there for some problems that came up.
Loved the Castries market and got a ton of fish, fruits and veggies for our trip. We cooked nearly every night and loved the fresh food we were able to bring home. The beach by the house is nice but a good walk. The beach at Ti Kaye is also wonderful. Even were able to climb the Piton and go fishing at Mystic Man Tours.

Bocean Villa was a wonderful place to come home to each night during our week stay here on St. Lucia. Marcus was a kind and helpful host. We borrowed a cooler from him and it made a huge difference in our day long traveling around the island to sights and beaches. We were visited everyday by the sweetest neighbouring dogs- bubbles and Cesar. The ocean breeze cooled us down at night and the sunsets were magnificent.

Marcus was an absolute star! We, myself and my two friends, had a lovely stay at the villa. Marcus was quick to help with any problems or queries we had. I would urge everyone to take him up on his recommendation of the St. Lucia Tours and Taxi company. They were absolute gems and their tours are fantastic, value for your money.
Our highlights were Pigeon Island and Tet Paul for the stunning views. Anse Chastnet beach for the postcard like setting, and Rodney Bay for the squeaky white sand. If you are a fan of snorkelling, head over to Sugar Beach for the most stunning coral reef you’ve ever seen!
Ps. Take a 10minute drive right out of the villa to stop off at the cassava bread shop. Chocolate chip and you’re in heaven!

Our stay in the villa has been wonderful. We’ve enjoyed the local area as well as the entire island. The private beach nearby is a must see especially if you have access to a 4-wheel drive car, as the walk is approximately 30minutes along a bumpy track, so preparation is key to making the most of the time there. Marcus was a fab host, always willing to help and share any info we may have needed.
The balcony views are great at sunrise and provide great breezes during the evening, although hearing country and western music takes some getting used to! (from the nearby bar). Overall this makes an excellent rental for the space you get.

We had a wonderful stay home. Marcus was very responsible and friendly. We enjoyed many places in St. Lucia. The Golden Apple Restaurant with ashes as such a friendly person and great cook- was wonderful. She will make a meal for you at your request and it is delicious local faire. The Tet Paul trail was absolutely beautiful! Also, the Botanical Gardens were beautiful- be sure to get a juice. The Hotel Chocolat restaurant was divine. We did the “Bean to Bar” tour and made our own chocolate bars! Marigot Bay was a beautiful quaint little place. All in all, we loved St. Lucia! Thank you, Marcus!!!

We enjoyed our stay, especially loved the 2 pups that so desperately want a home. It is so sad that the locals don’t love them as pets as they do in the US. We left dog food in the microwave as we have been feeding all the strays in our travel.
If you get hungry go to the Golden Apple restaurant up the road and visit Agnes. She will take wonderful care of you. We did lots of exploring but must admit our splurges at Ti Kaye, Ladera and Chocolat Hotel were all worth it.
Hiking Gros Piton is only for the hardy. We are quite fit and still found it dependent on a personal guide which we often didn’t get. Thank you, Marcus for your hospitality.

What a lovely place to spend our first few days here. We did the Soufriere volcano and snorkelling at Anse Chastnet. Be sure to take up Marcus’ offer to arrange a meal at Golden Apple (with the lovely Agnes). The wonderful homemade food, her stories and joyous personality complete a very wonderful supper. Five minutes away!
While I am not a dog person and was very apprehensive about the feral dogs around. There is certainly no need to worry. The dogs are very calm and docile and solve the problem of what to do with excess bacon fat!

We only stayed two nights, but it was wonderful! Marcus was most accommodating (even waited for our arrival an extra hour due to our delayed flight). He referred us to Ms. Agnes at Golden Apple- what an amazing experience! She is such a delight! You must go see her- authentic cooking and the view is beautiful!
The house is beautiful and served our needs perfectly. We loved the dogs and took great care of them like previous guests had (even bought them a large bag of dry dog food- near the propane tank under the counter!).
Due to our short stay we drove north to Marigot Bay- absolutely stunning! There’s a large grocery store as you enter the village (on the right) called Massy’s. “Highly recommend”- be sure to pick up an extra bag of dog food for the pups-ha!

Wow! When one is lost for words to describe an awesome experience, wow seems like a very fitting word. As a local couple staying here, the past few days gave us an opportunity to explore beaches we didn’t know existed, gaze at oceans that lodged a calm spirit within us. The tranquil was alluring and soothing.
Marcus, your villa is well-kept, and the amenities are sufficient for anyone looking to have a complete experience. I really hope to see that pool soon. It may not be there the next time we return because we plan on returning very very soon.

This was our first visit to Bocean Villa and St. Lucia! What a great honeymoon! We recommend renting a car to see things at your own pace as well as taking in any tours that catch your fancy. Try the stewed goat and lamb. The pool was almost completed by the time we left. Hopefully you get to try it out!

The house was perfect for a family of three. It had just the right amount of space and then some. The pool was so nice, a great place to cool off with a beautiful view and to relax in the sun.

The secret beach, although with a very treacherous road down a steep cliff, was also beautiful and a nice secluded get away.

Loved this trip, I recommend chocolate thunder, he has done many fun tours.  Buy groceries and bug spray, as well as lots of sunscreen and calamine lotion. This place is homey.
Feel free to stay in for a day and relax. Make sure to close everything at night when turning on lights. Always keep bedroom doors closed.

Thanks, Marcus for a wonderful stay. We especially enjoyed the wonderful deck + pool as well as the multiple balconies.
St. Lucia is a gem- so lush, green and interesting with its wonderful mountains and coves.
Mark drove all around the island + we enjoyed the botanical gardens, diamond waterfall, rainforest, tour, zipline and multiple beaches (day passes at resorts).

As for restaurants, we loved the Hummingbird and Orlando.

Lovely house, great views. Marcus was a wonderful host. If you like the beaches, I recommend Marigot. You take the free taxi boat to the Doolittle restaurant and also the Ti- Kaye resort is also a nice and quiet beach and the food is good.

Arrived here a little after delays on Liat flight into Castries. Marcus was there to greet us and introduce us to his beautiful home. We had a few days exploring the west coast of St. Lucia before arriving back to watch the sunset from the kitchen area terrace. “Stunning view.”

Soufriere is a good starting point with a walk around the volcanic area with local guide- very funny and very informative. After the walk, a soak and relax in the Sulphur pool- complete with mud bath. A definite visit to the waterfalls just before the volcanic area or the huts- the location is beautiful- sit on the smooth rock below the waterfall and let the warm descending water do the rest. Tip the caretaker as he does a good job of keeping the surrounding area and pool area clean.

The dogs were temporarily adopted by us and of course appreciated the attention and evening meals. A car is a must have.

Unfortunately, we only got to spend two wonderful days in “Bocean”! 

Both were fun and the villa is wonderful! Marcus was a great host as well. Be sure to inquire about the “private” beach 5 minutes away. We hiked the Gros Piton which was challenging but definitely worth the view at the top. In Soufriere, we had dinner @ a restaurant called Dream, which was delicious. Marcus also recommended another place which had good burgers and fries (be sure to try the tartar sauce). Pretty sure my mom’s favourite part of the villa were the dogs + puppies! We fed them all of our leftovers as they do look malnourished! Please feed puppies!

All in all, a great stay! LOVE ST. LUCIA

*If you are looking for a true St. Lucian boat tour with much better prices then be sure to go see Adam down at Canaries beach. Take your snorkels with you and he will show you a couple of shipwrecks. We only chose a couple of hours, but it was amazing. Give him a call on 758723- 7440.

What a pleasure it has been to stay here at Bocean Villa. The house is beautiful and instantly feels like a second home. It’s been incredible relaxing here, enjoying the wonderful views from all of the balconies, and the pleasure of slipping into the pool for a cool down. And of course going across the road to Adeline’s café for iced tea and fruitcake!

This is a wonderful location to either chill out or have as a base to explore the island, and we will certainly look no further should we come again to St. Lucia.

Being able to hire a car along with the villa was an added bonus.

You’re going to love it here! Rent a car from Marcus & explore the island. If you want a break, Marcus can arrange a driver for you. Go across the street & get incredible food from Adeline- she will make something to please even picky eaters and tell her you want cocoa tea for breakfast.

If you want to use a tour company- ask for Isaac at Real St. Lucia Tours. He took us to some of the tourist stuff we wanted to do (don’t miss Tet Paul or the Sulphur Springs), but also to a secret rum tasting (for $4!), a local eatery for bougan, and even a quick pass through his hometown.

Go to the secret beach but skip Ti Kaye. And if you have any questions, Marcus is always available & happy to help.

This place is gorgeous! What a lovely home with lots of space. We enjoyed the place and the island. Marcus was very available for any questions we had. 

We have yet to get in the beautiful pool because we have been so busy exploring. Also make sure to bring your own paper towels, foil, seasonings to cook and kitchen towel as small essentials like these were not available and we did not know that they would not be.

Marcus stopped by and brought us some yummy fresh bread. So courteous of Marcus, other than the noise of people talking every morning outside, this place has been outstanding. Thanks for it all! St. Lucia is a place we’d return to and would stay here again.

We really enjoyed St. Lucia. The house was very beautiful and the owner Marcus was very accommodating. Staying in this house allowed us to explore the island on our own. Jackson and Marcus gave us great advice on local areas and restaurants. The private beach is a must and also check out Botanical garden. When you’re there seek out Alexander the Great. He will give you a great tour at the garden and its history. Today, when we leave we are going to hike the Pitons, so this may be my last. What a gorgeous country!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bocean villa! Came to scuba dive but ended up doing a whole lot more than that (though the diving was incredible).

- Boucan was our favourite restaurant. Easy to get to after doing the botanical gardens.
- The secret beach was a nice walk, though it got a little steep at parts.

- Mourne Coubarille Estate. Interesting guided tour through an old plantation. The views were beautiful and the ziplining was really fun.

- Dove through scuba St. Lucia, which has excellent dive spot right off their beach. Also great for snorkelling. 

Wish we had time to visit Pigeon Point and the mud baths, but that just means we’ll need to come again!

Canaries is really a small village very nice, especially the small bakery near the bridge…what a delight!!! And these accommodations like small corner stores. We had a crush on the beach in Vieux Fort, Anse des Saldes for these waves, white sand and simplicity. The scenery is to cut the breath.

It is important to know that tourists have access to the beaches in Ressort Complex for free! You will simply mention that you came for a swim at the beach. Guests have access to the beach, bar and restaurant.

Our kids especially enjoyed the hospitality of the dog (they affectionately named “Coconut” and his two little puppies, like white “Chamalow” and the little brown “Brownies”) Also have a vehicle to get around is the best way to have freedom to explore the island.

We are pleased to have met this wonderful country! Viva St. Lucia Thank you, Marcus!!
