DAY 1 - Arrived around 5pm, walked down to town around 6pm. Had the beef burgers with fries & 2 pitons @ Pier28 - good dinner, reasonable prices - $15 EC for a burger, piton beer $6 EC, so dinner for 2 ran $52.00 EC (under $20.00 US!)
The walk into town isn’t bad but after a long day of travel it was a little tiresome walking back up that hill in the dark….and a flashlight is a good idea!
DAY 2 – First full day was amazing! Breakfast and coffee on the porch is the right way to start the day. We packed a lot into one day…Anse Chastanet/Anse Mamin: great snorkeling! We brought our own gear so we didn’t have to rent the equipment. We enjoyed snorkeling in Anse Chastanet but Anse Mamin was much better, and it is a short walk from Chastanet. Had lunch at the Jungle Grill in Anse Mamin, it was good, but you’re paying resort prices ($70.00 for two burgers and some beers, us Dollars). Better to save your money and go elsewhere for a burger. Service was excellent though.
Day 3 - I’m going to miss the mangoes…and breakfast on the porch! Went to Sugar Beach – The 14 cocktail is worth the shuttle back up the hill! Very pretty view of the Pitons but it is definitely a resort setting.
Day 4 – went down to Zaka’s for coffee and smoothies, very good fun atmosphere, nice people. Will go back. We also picked up some of their artwork to take home. We went back to Anse Mamin for more snorkeling. It was by far our favorite place to go. Took a little swim in the lagoon there soo.
Day 5 – Gros Piton – we tried it, but with last nights dinner disaster we coly made it to the halfway point before turning back. Guide was excellent, views were good, but from as far as we go, Tet Paul was better for views. The extra $1.00 for walking stick was worth it. Somethings to note
• It is not an easy hike
• You will be climbing up very rocky areas
• You will soak your clothes in sweat
• The path is pretty narrow
• The cardio is intense (that’s what got us, not the climbing up the rocks).
We came home and hung out in the pool here at the Villa. Then took a nap. Spent the evening in due to rain, but thoroughly enjoyed the villa!
Day 6 – going home! We loved our time at Serrana Villa and Saint Lucia.
My favorites: Anse Mamin, the mud baths and tet paul, the Gardens.
My Husbands Favorites: Anse Mamin and De Belle View Restaurant.
Enjoy your stay – we know you will!

After 4 amazing days at Serrana Villa we’ve pieced together some highlights and suggestions for those who follow us…
Number One: You’re already here!! Lucky, lucky you!! Serrana Villa is simply incredible! You are so close to everything, the views are breathtaking. The plunge pool refreshing. And you have JANUS!! Know you will be well taken care of by this guy. He’s warm friendly and oh so helpful. By the time you leave you’ll feel you have a forever friend in him.
As for other recommendations:
Restaurant / Bars
Overall – Don’t be intimidated or hesitant to wander into any local establishment. Those little hole in the wall places had some of the most fun, friendly people we met. In some, we had locals buying us a round before we were even fully seated. Use basic common sense and you couldn’t be safer!
Janus – From the bottom of our hearts. Thank you!! We wish we could of stay forever! Come to California + we’ll gladly take you to google – your mecca!!
We’re going to be keeping an eye on your new project in hopes of one day darkening your door there! Much love to you, friend!

Day 1- We finally made it to the Beautiful St Lucia Villa around 6pm. We stopped on the way to pick-up some groceries and cooked dinner.
Day 2- Sugar Beach was our first stop. U.S $50.00 per chair. It was a very beautiful and relaxing beach. It is not a bad drive from the villa, we also made it into town to ZAKA’s coffee shop. It’s delicious, their smoothies are a must try! For dinner, we tried Ruby’s. Apparently, their stove was broken so they were not able to make pizza. We ended up having Mahi-mahi and a burger. The fish was great and not to badly priced..
Day 3- We stopped at Zaka’s coffee store once more. I love the atmosphere. After stopping for our morning coffee, we headed to Jade Mountain. Only US$33 to rent chairs. The road to Anse Chastanet is a bit frightening but well worth the drive. We ate at the restaurant by the beach and had a few drinks. And there was a beautiful rainbow after a light shower.
Day 4 – We went on a snorkeling adventure through Mystic Man. Bradley was a great tour guide. It was a private tour which made it even better. We ended up taking a lil nap and chilled for the rest of the day.
Day 5- We woke up early to go fishing. My wife and I made breakfast, ate and took a Dramamine about 1 hour before we pushed off for good measures. Despite our efforts, my wife got sea sick. She and both spent a lot of our lives on the water, but her more so on smooth lakes while I spend a lot on the ocean. She was a trooper though, encouraging us to keep trolling despite her sea sickness. We came back into port earlier. Even so, we fished for close to four hours and caught nothing. A mix of rain and fog reduced visibility to a few thousand meters, making it difficult to spot birds for fishing spots. Regardless of our poor fortune, Bradley and the rest of the crew from Mystic Man Tours was phenomenal. We came back to villa Serrana, had a snooze then went to Ruby’s again for dinner. Kenny our waiter that night and also fist night, we went to ruby’s was fantastic. The man has had the job for three weeks. He is 18, this is his first job and one day wants to earn his B.S in computer Science/ Engineering. We got home after 10 and watched some Netflix before bed.
Day 6- Our last full day! My Husband and I decided to take it easy. We woke up early went into town to Zaka’s We spend most of our day by the pool. Janus has been an amazing host. It was great getting to know some of the locals. We had an amazing Honeymoon
