Swimming in the infinity pool overlooking Soufriere while listening to Mr. Lionel Richie….What could be better? Literally nothing. This Saint Lucia Vacation has been absolutely perfect.
The food has been utterly delightful, the views breathtaking and service the best ever. Shane was beyond helpful and truly the backbone of this experience, we could never have planned a vacation so organized and problem free. My mom likes to call him our “Super Man” as he kept us on schedule and organized throughout. Shane boy went above and beyond every single day and always had a smile on his face. The food recommendations were excellent and we especially loved Hotel Chocolat, Ladera Resort and our favourite, Chef Ramsey. While Hotel Chocolat & Ladera had undoubtedly some of the best views ever, nothing compared to Chef Ramsey’s Creole Chicken. The delicious meal had been waiting for us after our long flight with chicken so good that the only natural response was to have it again a couple nights later. I will be dreaming of that Chicken. Yesterday we hiked the Gros Piton, a real challenge. My dad was convinced we could beat the four hour time, we could not (we came close). The views were unimaginable (as was the leg pain) and the feeling of accomplishment was like no other. The morning we gave our legs a break and went on the ATV tour. The guides were so kind and knowledgeable and we had a great time. They took us to a private black sand beach that was truly pictureseque. My dad had a great time and lived his young self’s fantasy, he definitely felt cool and young again, definitely his highlight of the last few days. We also did the mud baths which were super fun although it was quite busy. Also, I will never stop raving about St. Lucia Cucumbers, you must try! In summary, it has been a fantastic short stay. - The Johnsons #sabavilla #stluciaairbnb #airbnb #stluciavillarentals #caribbean Dear Janus & Saba Team,
This villa…is IT!!! A-1, Top Notch, the absolute best! From the drivers to the Doctors & every friendly face in between, y’all treated us like family and made us feel like royalty. One of us (Jasmin) was skeptical about not staying at a resort, but your hospitality and friendliness won us over. Shane planned everything smoothly and always exceeded our expectations (kept that rum punch coming) We loved learning some history with Lawrence on our driver and has the best time hanging out with Liam. Y’all are truly the BEST! We spent the first couple of days relaxing listening to the sounds of the village and marveling at the sight of the pitons. The villa itself is beautiful and we enjoyed hanging back and taking in the views. On day 3, we went to the beach, which is now our favorite beach of all time. The view and peacefulness and cool water had us planning a trip back on sight. Also the deadly zombies lives up to their name. We made a trip back to the beach a few days later because we enjoyed it so much. After a bit more lounging we spent a day at the drive-in volcano, the sulphur springs, the waterfall, all for about us$50, you cant beat it. Lastly, shane arranged dinner at the Mango tree resort and we had a lovely dinner with amazing view! We will look fondly on our honeymoon for the rest of our lives and it is all thanks to you guys! We know the pandemic was rough for St. Lucia, but we just want to urge you guys to keep pushing because what you have here is 100% unique and amazing. We know for sure that we’ll be back and we’re sending all of ATL too 😊 to the next guests, you will not be disappointed The Merritts Atlanta, GA Justin & Jasmin, the Atlien This has truly been a trip of a lifetime in the midst of a crazy year. Day 4: Today we decided to walk into town for lunch at Fedos which was lovely and cheap! Shane then coordinated a private boat for 3 hours for snorkeling! It was truly magical! We walked down to Anse Mamain which was the most relaxing & tranquil beach. We went back home and Jermal booked us a sunset reservation at Rabot Hotel. We arrived early for some drinks and now- they were delicious. Service, food, views and dessert were incredible and well worth the cost Today was pack-up and leave. This has been the most amazing vacation of our lives! Jermal is amazing and takes care of everything to make our stay special. Our first night my husband and I went to have dinner at Ladera. It had a spectacular view and the food was delicious. The next day we did the Jermal tour of Soufriere. We had breakfast mango tree and went off on the tour.It was one of my favorite days on the island. Jermal is also an amazing Photographer. The pictures at the mud baths and waterfall looked like it was taken by a professional. He also took us to eat lunch at a local restaurant “The Dream Bar” it is a must go if you want to experience local food. At night we went back to Mango tree for dinner. On day 2, we decided to be brave and climb Gros Piton. It was tougher than we thought. I am still sore by the time im writing this. After that we had lunch and Piton here by the beach. At night we had chef Ramsey come and cook for us. The food was great and chef is a very upbeat guy. You cannot go wrong with him. On day 3, we took it easy since we were so tire from the hike on the previous day. We went to the Botanical Gardens and it was beautiful! The waterfall takes your breath away. Also the mineral bath was pretty good for our Sore muscles. We went to the Paradise hotel beach after. There is this boat juice bar and their Pina colada is a must! Beat Pina Colada ever!!! We had a magical 5 day in Soufriere thanks to this beautiful island, the kind people and the breathtaking villa! Huge thank you to Janus for making our stay completely effortless and making us feel like VIP’s. Everything we wanted to do was easily arrange for us by Janus, Jermal or Shane who were so kind, patient and considerate. Day 1:- we got in, in the afternoon. Shane took us to buy groceries on the way in (his recommendation) and Jermal brought us food from a local restaurant to the villa. We read and enjoyed the spectacular view on the Patio. Day 2:- We hiked Gros Piton in the morning, after making a quick breakfast. Jermal took us to the right spot, handed us over to a guide who walked up with us. Definitely recommend the hike! It’s a well paved trail with beautiful views. It feels like walking up a long staircase. We did it in closer to 3 hours with some stops along the way. The Jermal took us to Malgretoute beach which is the only beach open to tourist because of COVID. It was really relaxing, food was good and water was super clear. We ended up going twice. The View of Pitit Piton is Beautiful while you swim. Day 3:- We were sore! Janus took us to see some of his other incredible villas and we made brunch at home and swam in the pool. Later we went for a walk along the coast towards Jade Mountain and Chef Ramsey met us at home and cooked us a delicious meal! It was $$$ was absolutely delicious and felt like a private restaurant. Definitely the best food we’ve had on the island. Day 4 :- we went diving with Chester off Hummingbird beach. Chester was amazing. The son of a fisherman who now plants coral and is a dive master. We saw coral we’ve never seen before and we have been to the great Bamia reef. We grabbed food at Blue Anchor and Orlandos (both delicious) and head home for a swim. We ate left over from Chef Ramsey and cooked dinner @ home. Day 5:- We did the Tet Paul Nature trail. It was incredible to learn about the farming community that sustains and is sustained by the fruit and vegetables that grow there. The Pineapples were adorable. The view between the Pitons is unbeatable. Don’t miss it! Then we went back to Malgretoute beach for our last swim and fish burgers. There is also a little fruit boat where we got fresh coconuts. He has a blender on the boat to make cocktails. Jermal hooked us up with a dinner reservation at Ladera. They put us at the best seat with spectacular views and sunset. The food was delicious! Staying with Janus is the way to go! Everything was taken care of and people treated us like royalty Thank you Janus, Jermal & Shane Gros Piton Diving with Chester Tet Paul Nature Trail Malgretoute Beach Chef Ramsey Ladera Restaurant We’ll Be Back! We ordered carry out for dinner, hang out by the pool and relaxed, went to the market got food for the house. Day 2- Went to the beach -Malgretoute beach.
