If you enjoy the island’s waterfalls, Toraille is not to be missed. With an incredibly low entry fee, the waterfall is strong enough to feel like a gentle massage as you allow the rushing water to cascade over you. The pool is three and a half feet deep at the deepest point, which makes is a great place to swim while still providing safety for older children. In addition, travelers find that Toraille offers a number of absolutely astounding photo opportunities for memories that will last a lifetime. While these waterfalls are not recommended for people with difficulty walking, they can be a great alternative to busier mud baths for people looking to experience a dip in volcanic mud without the crowds. There are a few pools to choose from, and there are a number of fruit and nut trees to see. While the baths are the primary reason to visit, the friendly attendants are reviewed as highly as the destination itself!
Sulphur Springs is one of the most popular destinations on the island of St. Lucia and also holds the unique distinction of being home to the world’s only drive-in volcano. The smell of sulphur in the air is so strong that you can often smell it as far away as the center of Soufriere, but locals and visitors alike tout the mud baths as offering relaxing and even healing properties. Even if you decide not to take a dip in the mud pools, the destination is a must-see, and for those who are worried about being covered in mud, a warm waterfall allows you to easily rinse off afterwards, giving you the chance to see just how smooth your skin feels after a soak in the mud. A little history... Another of the more remote beaches on St. Lucia’s coast, Anse Malgretoute, is wildly popular among everyone lucky enough to hear about and visit it. It is incredibly secluded, and many travelers find themselves with the beach to themselves. Unlike the sandy beaches that are found across the island, Anse Malgretoute is a rocky beach, giving you the chance to hike across the rocks while still finding cozy areas of sand when you want to relax or sunbathe.
While St. Lucia’s volcanic origins mean that most beaches have black sand, Sugar Beach imports white sand every year to provide a more traditional Caribbean beach experience. Snorkeling and diving opportunities abound, and the beach itself is so picturesque that you may just find that you never want to leave and return home! While getting to Anse Mamin means making a five minute walk from Anse Chastanet, it is well worth it. The beach itself is less populated, yet there is still a fabulous beach bar for you to enjoy as well as bike rentals and biking trails. The nature walks here are definitely worth the effort, and they give you a chance to see some of the island’s finest scenery. The drive to Anse Chastanet/Anse Mamin BeachIn addition to a resort, Anse Chastanet is one of the most beautiful beaches on St. Lucia. Clean, secluded, and offering impeccable views of the Pitons amid a backdrop of breathtaking turquoise water, Anse Chastanet is a great place for swimmers, snorkelers, and water enthusiasts of all types. There is great diving here as well, and the beach is protected, making it a wonderful family destination. The Drive to Anse Chastanet & Anse Mamin Beach Adventure isn’t hard to find on St. Lucia, and Treetop Adventure Park certainly lives up to its name. If you want to take a zipline tour of the rain forest, this is the place for you.
Reviews of the attraction are overwhelmingly positive, and even those with a fear of heights say that they had an absolute blast on the ziplines, seeing the island in an exciting way that you certainly won’t forget. There are 12 different lines to choose from, and the park is open rain or shine, giving you the chance to explore St. Lucia in the most thrilling way imaginable. Rodney Bay offers a bevy of things to do, see, and enjoy, and one of the more unique ones is the Pirate Cruise. Board a modern boat made to resemble a pirate ship in every way and watch as the crew climbs the masts. Rumor has it that if you ask nicely enough, the crew might even let you fire the cannon or walk the plank!
