My sister and her husband will have been here 3 weeks+. We totally loved the condos and spent most early mornings and evenings enjoying the Million Dollar view on the balcony. Every day was an adventure here and we are so happy that we chose this area as it is close to all of the main attractions. We walk everywhere for the adventure and the workout.
We walked to the following attraction: Anse Chastanet + Anse Mamin beaches. Enjoyed the snorkeling @ Anse Chastanet but there were a lot of boats coming in and out. Lazy walk, great workout. Botanical gardens Jerusalem falls- this is a hidden gem on your way to Torille waterfall in Soufriere. A little trail on the right, take you to the hot, warm and cool mineral baths-went twice as enjoyed immensely. Walked to Torille falls – water is cool, but falls are beautiful. Walked to Sugar Beach after getting off of the local bus. It is a long walk, mostly uphill. The beach and views are beautiful. May got again tomorrow but by taxi arranged by our awesome host Janus. Today we climbed Gros Piton. It was an amazing experience + it was challenging. Coming down was slippery. Overall an amazing experience. Sulphur Springs/Mud Baths- after climbing Gros Piton, we were happy to relax in the hot water and do Mud baths- very unique and enjoyable. We also took a local bus to Castries and Rodney Bay. Oh, what a ride from here to Castries! Very windy road and well hell of a scary damage…lol but we made it back in one piece. We had lunch in Rodney Bay at Spinnakers in Reduit Beach, but the food was very bland and nothing to talk about. Roti at Fedos-had it a few times. Lunch at Anse Chastanet was great Had drinks at Pitit Peak restaurant at reasonable price We did our groceries at Massy’s on our way from the airport and at the local grocery store in Soufriere. Janus made all our transportation arrangements easy and our driver Stephen was an excellent and very accommodating driver. Dec. 19th – had a great day at Sugar Beach and had our lunch there (mini burger and jerk chicken) Amazing day!!! Tomorrow we move to unit #1 for 2 days = we’ll miss this Balcony and the two bedrooms/bathrooms!!! Brigitte Arrived at apartment after spending the first four days of our holiday in Choc (other end of island). Had a great time at that and of the island.
Janus had someone come down to the town to guide us to the Apartment. I was attached to the apartment after viewing it online and was very pleased with my choice of accommodation because the apartment was exactly as seen online. (which don’t always happen). Janus was the bomb for a host. It was very easy communication with him before the visit. He made sure that I know all that I wanted to know and always responded to my messages. He visited on the second day to make sure that we were comfortable and settled in. I made a request for a couple of soft pillows and by evening he had them delivered to the apartment. He also had some local bread delivered to the apartment for us and advice on some places to visit. During our visit t this side of the Island. We visited the Volcano, the town and did some sightseeing as we had our own rented vehicle. This was very interesting. Enjoyable. We enjoyed the time (3 days) we spent at the apartment, but sitting on the balcony and taking in that fantastic, unbeatable view of the hills, the town, the Pitons and the ocean, a picture of God’s Creation. That was worth coming to see the experience. Great Visit! Thanks Janus! P.N- will surely recommend to my fellow barbadians. Hello from Megan (Canadian) & Andrew (brit)
We spent four nights at Sapphire – it was meant to be six but hurricane Irma had us grounded in Martinique for two extra days, because of that we had to be satisfied with a little less time and thus fewer sights and activities. In our 4 nights/five days we did: 1.)De Belle View Restaurant - Very down to earth & friendly -Good Carribbean food 2.)Beach by Hummingbird Resort- Not a showstopper, but walk able and quiet -Definitely not touristy! 3.) Sulphur Springs – Our skin felt super soft after 4.)Torille waterfall – Just that – a waterfall -Nice and cool after mud bath 5.) Pitit Peak Restarant – Great fish – Creole fish pianie was excellent -Nice atmosphere on waterfront with cross-breeze 6.) Anse Chastanet -took a water taxi and spent the day -Beach is lovely, snorkeling is decent -Drinks are pricey Things we didn’t do but wanted to : Gros Piton – It was a million degrees and we were short on time, but looks amazing Suba Diving – We made the mistake of believing the guidebooks and websites (risky, but especially so row season) rather than calling and then arriving to discover the excursions weren’t running -Boooo! We really enjoyed the condo here at Sapphire Apt. # 2. Janus and his staff were excellent with their service and follow ups during our stay. We went snorkeling at Anse Chastanet and Sugar Beach which is nice and safe. The snorkeling area is all roped off.
We had Pizza from Ruby’s Pizzaria and a roti from Fedos which was all very good. We hike up Gros Piton which was a long hike but the views were worth the hike. The hiking trail is well maintained. The Condo here at Sapphire Apt. #2 is well laid out, very comfortable and lots of kitchen appliances. Janus, you should vet a vegetable peeler. The views from the deck are excellent, we enjoyed a lot of mornings and evenings. Loved our time in Saint Lucia Robert & Shannon Nova Scotia, Canada My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to spend a whole weekend in Sapphire Apt. #2. Janus was a great host and was always available for suggestions.
We had the best week in Paradise. Some of the highlights were spending full days at Sugar Beach, Snorkeling at Anse Chastanet, Botanical gardens, Piton Mineral waterfall and meals at Martha’s Tables, Mango Tree and hotel Chocolat. We also loved spending mornings and evenings on the balcony. This apartment has everything you could need and more. We will never forget our stay at St. Lucia & Sapphire Apt. Laura & Brian We had an amazing 4 nights here in Sapphire Apartments, Soufriere. We love this town! So colorful, vibrant and lively. We found the people very friendly and found Soufriere felt very safe for us and our two young children.
We would recommend
This apartment is perfect and excellent value for money. In our opinion staying in town is a much better experience than staying at one of the much pricier resort. Forgot to mention the Morne Courbaril Estate Tour – we really enjoyed learning about the plantation and everything grown there. What a beautiful place. Thank you !! Suz The local bread Janus brought us. :)
Spectacular Sunset, more food – I think you get how we chose to spend the time. Restaurants we tried were all excellent! Hammingbird (because many of the local restaurants close on Sat. + Sun.) Martha’s Tables. Fedo’s and Ruby’s. We will be back and for a much longer stay. (this was the end of the two weeks in Caribbean!) Trip & Debbi Newland, NC New Smyrna Beach, FL The new speaks for itself. The vibes is super chill. The nature surrounds you everywhere you turn. An amazing place. A great place to just go with the flow and see what the day brings. The people or locals I guess you’d say are just the best. Stop and enjoy their energy.
Enjoy Nature. Peace Kelly We all agreed this was our favorite Family vacation so far! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do! The service from Janus and his drivers was outstanding! We got a lot of great advice the first night from Fabian and Janus brought us cards when we requested them! All out interactions were great!
We highly recommend:
We will be back! See you soon St. Lucia Cyndy, Megan, Alec & Jahnice Our family came here for a week, not knowing what to expect because it was a toss up of where to stay in Soufriere or Rodney Bay. We are so glad we decided on Janus’s lovely apartment here in Soufriere. The views are amazing, the area beautiful with so many amazing things to do and places to explore. And Janus was just amazing as our host. The fresh bread and fruits were so unexpected and very much appreciated. There really hasn’t been anything or any plae we didn’t enjoy. We snorkeled at sugar beach which was good and also at Anse Chastanet, where the coral reefs were very cool. Not sure which was better because we were in curacao a few months back where snorkeling was amazing. We liked the beach at sugar beach better than Anse Chastanet (Too many boats) but loved Anse Mamin Beach + hard a great burger there. We ate at the tapas restaurant and bayside sugar at sugar, both were good but quite pricey for lunch, as was Dasheen. Went to Botanical Gardens & Diamond Falls nice, but disappointed that you can no longer go into the falls. Went Ziplining at Mourne Courbaril which was a blast for our first time Ziplining. I’m deathly afraid of heights but you feel so secure that I was able to do it and so glad I did. A little Gem we found was the Piton Falls, it was magical there, so glad we decided to go down there, and on your way to the falls. You have a great view of the Pitons. Drove into Castries & Rodney Bay to try Splash Water Park on Reduit Beach, had a great time, but the drive to and from was a trip! Had dinner at Petit Peak ( Pasta + Ribs) at Petit Peak, we all enjoyed the food there. And for our last night we had dinner at Boucan, just amazing. Quite expensive but worth it for our last farewell dinner. We hope you enjoy your time in Janus’s lovely apartment and take time to soak up all the magic that this wonderful island has. We are sad to be leaving “Oh Definitively do the Sulphur Springs & mud bath. So amazing! Jody |
WEATHER IN SAINT LUCIA
While most places in the world have four well-defined seasons, its proximity to the equator means that this is not really the case for the island of St. Lucia. Archives
