Hello from Megan (Canadian) & Andrew (brit)
We spent four nights at Sapphire – it was meant to be six but hurricane Irma had us grounded in Martinique for two extra days, because of that we had to be satisfied with a little less time and thus fewer sights and activities. In our 4 nights/five days we did:
1.)De Belle View Restaurant - Very down to earth & friendly
-Good Carribbean food
2.)Beach by Hummingbird Resort- Not a showstopper, but walk able and quiet
-Definitely not touristy!
3.) Sulphur Springs – Our skin felt super soft after
4.)Torille waterfall – Just that – a waterfall
-Nice and cool after mud bath
5.) Pitit Peak Restarant – Great fish – Creole fish pianie was excellent
-Nice atmosphere on waterfront with cross-breeze
6.) Anse Chastanet -took a water taxi and spent the day
-Beach is lovely, snorkeling is decent
-Drinks are pricey
Things we didn’t do but wanted to :
Gros Piton – It was a million degrees and we were short on time, but looks amazing
Suba Diving – We made the mistake of believing the guidebooks and websites (risky, but especially so row season) rather than calling and then arriving to discover the excursions weren’t running
We really enjoyed the condo here at Sapphire Apt. # 2. Janus and his staff were excellent with their service and follow ups during our stay. We went snorkeling at Anse Chastanet and Sugar Beach which is nice and safe. The snorkeling area is all roped off.
We had Pizza from Ruby’s Pizzaria and a roti from Fedos which was all very good. We hike up Gros Piton which was a long hike but the views were worth the hike. The hiking trail is well maintained.
The Condo here at Sapphire Apt. #2 is well laid out, very comfortable and lots of kitchen appliances. Janus, you should vet a vegetable peeler. The views from the deck are excellent, we enjoyed a lot of mornings and evenings.
Loved our time in Saint Lucia

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to spend a whole weekend in Sapphire Apt. #2. Janus was a great host and was always available for suggestions.
We had the best week in Paradise. Some of the highlights were spending full days at Sugar Beach, Snorkeling at Anse Chastanet, Botanical gardens, Piton Mineral waterfall and meals at Martha’s Tables, Mango Tree and hotel Chocolat.
We also loved spending mornings and evenings on the balcony. This apartment has everything you could need and more. We will never forget our stay at St. Lucia & Sapphire Apt.

This apartment is perfect and excellent value for money, much better experience than staying at one of the much pricier resort!!
We had an amazing 4 nights here in Sapphire Apartments, Soufriere. We love this town! So colorful, vibrant and lively. We found the people very friendly and found Soufriere felt very safe for us and our two young children.
We would recommend
This apartment is perfect and excellent value for money. In our opinion staying in town is a much better experience than staying at one of the much pricier resort.
Forgot to mention the Morne Courbaril Estate Tour – we really enjoyed learning about the plantation and everything grown there.
What a beautiful place. Thank you !!
The local bread Janus brought us. :)
Spectacular Sunset, more food – I think you get how we chose to spend the time.
Restaurants we tried were all excellent! Hammingbird (because many of the local restaurants close on Sat. + Sun.) Martha’s Tables. Fedo’s and Ruby’s.
We will be back and for a much longer stay. (this was the end of the two weeks in Caribbean!)

The new speaks for itself. The vibes is super chill. The nature surrounds you everywhere you turn. An amazing place. A great place to just go with the flow and see what the day brings. The people or locals I guess you’d say are just the best. Stop and enjoy their energy.
Enjoy Nature. Peace
We all agreed this was our favorite Family vacation so far! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do!
We all agreed this was our favorite Family vacation so far! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do! The service from Janus and his drivers was outstanding! We got a lot of great advice the first night from Fabian and Janus brought us cards when we requested them! All out interactions were great!
We highly recommend:
We will be back! See you soon St. Lucia

"It was a toss up of where to stay in Soufriere or Rodney Bay. We are so glad we decided on Janus’s lovely apartment here in Soufriere"
Our family came here for a week, not knowing what to expect because it was a toss up of where to stay in Soufriere or Rodney Bay. We are so glad we decided on Janus’s lovely apartment here in Soufriere. The views are amazing, the area beautiful with so many amazing things to do and places to explore. And Janus was just amazing as our host. The fresh bread and fruits were so unexpected and very much appreciated.
There really hasn’t been anything or any plae we didn’t enjoy. We snorkeled at sugar beach which was good and also at Anse Chastanet, where the coral reefs were very cool. Not sure which was better because we were in curacao a few months back where snorkeling was amazing. We liked the beach at sugar beach better than Anse Chastanet (Too many boats) but loved Anse Mamin Beach + hard a great burger there. We ate at the tapas restaurant and bayside sugar at sugar, both were good but quite pricey for lunch, as was Dasheen.
Went to Botanical Gardens & Diamond Falls nice, but disappointed that you can no longer go into the falls.
Went Ziplining at Mourne Courbaril which was a blast for our first time Ziplining. I’m deathly afraid of heights but you feel so secure that I was able to do it and so glad I did.
A little Gem we found was the Piton Falls, it was magical there, so glad we decided to go down there, and on your way to the falls. You have a great view of the Pitons.
Drove into Castries & Rodney Bay to try Splash Water Park on Reduit Beach, had a great time, but the drive to and from was a trip!
Had dinner at Petit Peak ( Pasta + Ribs) at Petit Peak, we all enjoyed the food there. And for our last night we had dinner at Boucan, just amazing. Quite expensive but worth it for our last farewell dinner.
We hope you enjoy your time in Janus’s lovely apartment and take time to soak up all the magic that this wonderful island has. We are sad to be leaving
“Oh Definitively do the Sulphur Springs & mud bath. So amazing!
We had a lot of fun. We toured everywhere, we had a car. There is a lot to see. Most everyone we met were very nice.
La Soufriere- Drive-in Volcano and Mud Baths – went to interpretation center to watch 5-10minute video with our car. Guided tour of Volcano- note you must go up and down some stairs, then into the mud-mineral baths, felt wonderful but your clothes will spell like Sulphur, so take some dark old ones/white can stain possibly. Felt wonderful!
Sugar Beach on Jalousie – drove to the resort if have car/ in taxi or even water taxi. If you drive your car, park out resort car park and take shuttle down/tip your driver. At bottom Sugar Beach Lounge chaise are right free, yes free! You pay for nicer ones on left. Snorkeling to right. OK. Was fun for a short time. Had decent pizza at bar for snacks. Nice view of Pitit Piton.
Morne Coubaril cocoa plantation was about 30 minutes tour for about U.S$11.00, was interesting. Had cocoa bean sample, coconut water and bite at fresh coconut. You can zipline, but we didn’t so can’t comment. Get a chocolate bar for treat in shop
Anse Chastanet Beach/Jade Mountain Resort is a nice palm-studded dark sand beach, warm snorkeling on left. Ok snorkeling. Pretty beach and you can snorkel to on the beach far right side of Anse Chastanet beach to Anse Mamin Beach. If take time will take 15-30 minutes.
Food : Pier 28 had low prices but very slow service and inconsistent quality.
Ruby’s – had to wait for pizza which was good but better pizza in Gros-Islet @ il Pappa (aka key leigo)- really great wood fire pizza.
Matthew’s – Rodney bay. 2/1 happy hour and nice British owners. Good food, would go back.
Drove to Choiseul to check out the art center – pretty bare and only once area open but bought nice wood carvings.
Zaka art café across from Pitit Peak restaurant. Bought totems and had good smoothie.
Pitt Peak Restaurant – did not care for burger on lunch menu but otherwise ok.
Diamond fall & Botanical Gardens. Did not go into mineral bath but enjoyed walk through gardens until the tour buses showed.

"Eric and I have spent hours on this balcony talking and watching the sky… and we hope you love it even half as much as we did."
I write this from the beautiful balcony after three nights staying at this bright, well located, modern apartment. My boyfriend and I loved how convenient it was to travel all the places we wanted to go from here.
Loved the Suphur Springs, Sugar Beach, Botanical Gardens and even our adventure just driving around!
We ate some great meals: Dasheen was wonderful and if you go for lunch you’ll not only get a great view but slightly lower pricing too. (a bit of a splurge but hey, you’re on vacation)
Janus is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. I hope we are back soon; there is so much more to see and do than we could in three days (also there is definitely more food to eat, so we hope we have on the way out).
Loved Soufriere & hour temporary home at it. Eric and I have spent hours on this balcony talking and watching the sky… and we hope you love it even half as much as we did.
